I have a slightly different take on this. I can accept that the current owners may possibly be tempted to cash in on the growth in the value of their investment. The problem is that the major part of the increase in value is entirely attributable to Reynolds involvement in creating the international profile of the club and the additional revenue streams that come from that. Reynolds sells and Wrexham becomes just another League 2 club with the same revenue streams as any other League 2 club. Any potential buyer faces the prospect of having the major part of their investment value evaporate the moment the deal is signed and Reynolds is no longer involved. Surely, even in the idiotic world of Football Club financing, there can't be too many potential buyers with that sort of financial death wish ready to take on such an investment!
"Reynolds sells and Wrexham becomes just another League 2 club". Have to disagree there. Even if Reynolds sells, Wrexham would have far more brand value than any League 2 club. Heck, the name Wrexham is far more famous worldwide than several EPL clubs at the moment. That's incredibly valuable in and of itself.
Before the famous owners came on board ,Wrexham had a hard core fan base of around 4,000, They have a very critical fan section who only support in the good times. If the results start going against them and R&R lose interest, then Wrexham will become another struggling Div 1 or Div 2 club.

My first comment was removed, so I'll try again with a different approach (no video link this time, though I still recommend watching it, as it's both fun and informative). First off, I disagree with the clickbait title. If there's a sale in the team's future, it's not soon. I don't see any evidence of that. Second, please do your due diligence and learn how to properly pronounce the names of the people about whom you're speaking, especially when it comes to the owners. If you're going to claim to have "great football content," IMO that includes showing due respect to those who are the subjects of that content.
You need to learn how to pronounce Rob McElhenney. There's an entire song about it. Unfortunately poor take. These guys aren't like normal businessmen, they are story tellers. A big difference is they have an entire TV show that earns them millions upon millions of dollars to reinvest in the club and gain additional sponsorships that no one else can touch. They won't sell until that new stand behind the goal is built, because that is one of their biggest projects that they promised to accomplish when they first bought the club.
why would he/thery sell? this platform gives them a channel to market everything else they do, and as they progress, their cashflow will get much better..
I'm a Wrexham fan and always hear the "they will get bored before long" comments , especially on twitter. truth is imo is initially Reynolds came across as the business brain whilst rob was more from the heart , different story now as both seem emotionally invested . Sustainability gets Wrexham to championship and I do think another investor would be needed to push on from there. Our trump card is spending power at the minute which is all well and good in national league and league two maybe even league one but I struggle with the thought of us offering 10 million for a player were we ever in the championship or dare I say it , premier league where 10 mil is seen as a 'cheap' player and I'm thinking stadium would need to be 25-30000 to continue that stability. As for the haters , I struggle with the negativity from the minorities (at least I hope its a minority !!) where you see so many terrible owners who rinse the clubs they run or refuse to invest on players etc . I do feel though its not a case of them selling per se if that was on the table in 5 , 10 or 20 years time but more of bringing in an investor and continuing to promote the club as only they can
I think when you get to top leagues it's a totally different ball game, but how much would the club be worth if they went to prem league ? Good profit if they sell then
Our club is self sustained at a League 1 level. That’s where we always used to generate enough income to exist until the criminals started asset stripping us. Frankly, without R&R I genuinely think we’d have gone out of business in the next 10 years, because we wouldn’t have been able to supply the initial financing to repair 20 years of damage.
Have to agree here. EFL Champion's league team ranked around 6th spends about £20 million total on player salaries, or about £1 million per player average. Ryan & Rob can easily pay for that, due to Wrexham revenue alone, without spending any of their own money. But the Premier League spends closer to £130 million a year on player salaries, a very big jump, that cannot be funded solely via normal football revenue. Ryan & Rob don't have enough billions to fund a Premier League team. They would have to sell most of their stake to a much richer owner should Wrexham win promotion to Premiere League.
Reynolds is no mug in the business game. He will get investors. He will do what has promised to do. And with the support of Rob they can go far... Wrexham in the Prem 2027
This has got to be the silliest thing I've heard ever. Why would they sell Wrexham? Are they short of money? Are they looking to buy something else? They have started something I am sure they will want to see right to the end. If they can get promoted to the next level in one or two years Wrexham will be worth twice as much as it is now, and then the championship where it will be worth twice as much again. If you play for pennies you make pennies, but if you play for pounds you make pounds.
I dont see them selling anytime soon they enjoy the club, town, and the players to much.....They keep reinvesting in wrexham because they dont need to make money with the club because they have money unlike past owners
All I see here is a TH-camr jumping on the Wrexham bandwagon to profit on their success with a non story. They will one day sell, like all Football club owners do, but it isn't anytime soon.
@@TBFootball365 I can see them getting the club into the Championship and then needing new investment to join them, but I believe they will stick to their goal of reaching the Premier League. After that, it'll probably be the case of the club out growing them and them needing to sell to a wealthier owner, to progress further.
It doesn't matter if you're a lover or hater of this venture,it just goes to show how when you give people hope anything is possible,I love what they have done for my town.
Selling the club and selling shares/parts of the club are two massively different things. It will increase the market-value of the club like crazy and make their already millions worth many more millions. They won’t cash out 100% unless the offer would already place them in PL
@@TBFootball365 exactly. But the market-value wont be as a PL club if there's an offer now. If anyone wants to pay as much as for a PL club right now, then maybe they can get a full sell, but i doubt it even then.
Their presence is a huge part of the success. If they sold it, the team is worth less immediately. Players will come there and play rather than at a higher level because of the possibility of enormous media exposure. And the chance that you will actually, at some point, hang out with Mac and Deadpool. Same with coaches. Sponsors also recognize the marketing inevitability that is Mr. Lively. Everything he touches turns to gold and the allure does not seem to be fading, as it usually does with the famous people. Remove Rob and Ryan from the equation and the TV show is over, the media attention ebbs drastically, the sponsors disappear, those players and coaches will go elsewhere. People will not want to visit at the same levels and things eventually return back to the way they were. They promised these people they were in it for the long haul so they had better keep their word.
not selling… Rob n Ryan demonstrate that they are not in it for the money they go into the community and take a part of it…. they are two genuine guys and it is obvious Wrexham os becoming more and more popular… money won’t come short … it also looks like they’ll see promotion
They're both emotionally invested to the hilt. We love em, they're rebuilding our community after umpteen decades of under investment and losses of local industries. See you in the Premier league guys!!
Nope , Rob and Ryan have both said this is a decades long project. They have also said they will seek additional investment as we progress through the leagues. As a long time Wrexham supporter R &R will definitely have a special place as heroes for the club and the community. As for the video, quite a few inaccuracies in the facts and figures given, but I guess for most it won't matter.
Look im seeing alot of they will sell i dont think so i think they might bring in a 3rd investor with a bigger share at somepoint but i think they dont have to sell for them.i dont think its about money its passion and ofcourse money to u are right defo but i kinda hope they keep running it only bloody thing in football i like reading about
Beyond the money, I feel he has invested himself in the wrexham club and town, so I think when the club is firm in its standings, they may bow out, but that's still a ways down the road. I think the money has secondary, if not tertiary, role for Ryan and Rob.
No chance he sells it unless he becomes heavily involved in a NHL organization. It’s become a big time love of his and he won’t let the fans down. Both Rob & Ryan are truly genuine people. They’re rare in the acting/celebrity world. Rob is the true man behind it all in terms of getting Ryan on board and close to the level of love he has for sports including football. I don’t see Rob ever agreeing to do so unless he had no other choice due to Ryan’s massive impact on income & ads.
this is not just a business investment for they're emotionally invested in the club and the community, when they get to the championship, where they'll need to spend 10's of millions to get players or the EPL which will require a bigger stadium and bigger spending power, they;ll bring in investors but will still be a part of the people making the important decisions..
McElhenny and Reynolds are in this for the long haul, they won't be pulling out for a very very long time. Will a third 'high roller' investor become involved? Well that may happen, but I believe the possibility of that includes a love for the club and the entire community, the fact they recognize this, and of course how the financial input from themselves has changed that dynamic, has now forced other club owners, across all the other divisions, to take a good hard look at themselves. One club a league below them has just recently just got rid of it's lying, cheating, money grabbing owner after a long hard struggle. Could this be a sign of their investment of Wrexham? I hope so. So in answer to your headline grabbing question, NO they guys (not just Reynolds) are not going anywhere, they love the whole circus that comes with club ownership; appearing in a live TV studio before a match, which has happened, clearly demonstrated that. Plus the expanded outcome from that alone pumped millions into their share of sales of football shirts etc. (The club floated a new away shirt in all sizes in black, a colour not allowed in non-league, 10,000 disappeared into the post overnight, SOLD OUT!! Lol). So when people fly in from around the globe, knowing well in advance the odds of meeting either of these 2 is slim to none, yet they still come in droves, what does that do for your argument?
They won’t sell because it is not just about money given they both have more than you can spend on lifetime, particularly Reynolds. They have always said this is also social project for them in relation to the town. Owners in it for the money would not bother to learn Welsh 😅
You don't understand, they bought this team for one reason, and one reason only.....They want the ring! Why would a man worth two billion, sell this dream? Trust me, they are going for the top of the Pyramid.
I suspect if they get to championship, a partnership with deeper pockets may be needed. Disney for example, they are clear winners financially at the moment@@TBFootball365
Lmfao. Click bait nonsense. The town would burn him down. He would lose so much good will and his nice guy image in a flash. Push away the crack pipe. This ain’t happening
He's only co-owner... I don't think Rob wants to sell either. And of course, Glenn Howerton and Kaitlyn won't allow it. Also, Humphrey Ker is pretty invested in the club. They can't break Humphrey's heart by selling the club so fast! He would be devastated.
@@TBFootball365 As a Wrecsam fan who has met them both, I think they are in this for the long term. They’ll go all the way with us. I have never seen football club owners like them. Their respect, not just for the club but also the local area/culture/people/language, is unmatched. They genuinely care. They are part of this community. They are what every club owner should be like.
I feel like they'll find partners. Especially if we make it to the champ. I don't see them selling the majority of the club or even exiting completely unless it becomes financially unsustainable. They're in it for the long run.
They are actors, so it’s hard to tell. But they seem to be emotionally invested. I can’t see them selling while it’s making money, and I suspect they may tolerate a few years of losses.
They are invested emotionally besides monetarily... they'll never sell. They might ( and actually have done it already ) invite investors to grow the reach.
If Rob and Ryan sell eventually, it'll be when they start to stagnate in a division wherever that may be. Say 3-4 seasons in the same division unless it's PL - then they would stay the race.
@@JoeYetski-lf7dw No, even then I don't think they'd sell - at least not immediately. Maybe if they stagnated in the PL lower half for several years, or even relegated out.
Like Luton Town you have to respect their story. I would love to see them make the English Premier League someday. They have heart.. from the owners to the club and right down to the supporters.
Let’s be honest. I’m from Canada🇨🇦 and I’ve never heard of Waxham until Ryan Reynolds bought the team. Then what made it really exciting was Following the TV series “ Welcome to Wrexham “. Definitely, the stars were aligning for the owners and the community as a whole. Just coming out of Covid & what the world has become, This has turned out to be a great distraction & feel good story. I don’t think I would be as excited if these guys ended up selling the team. Waxham would definitely lose momentum in the PR aspect of things.
Great video but will Thumbs Down it as the Title is click bait! “Which is why will he sell!! “ That’s not a question but a statement, as in your will answer it… but you don’t answer it but pose the obvious question that one day he might. Pity I really appreciate the speed you communicated all that info.
Right now they make money, but with the promotion to league one, it will only get harder for them to advance and get promoted and now they have to use a lot of money to acquire new players. The question is now, if they dont secure a promotion next season, and end up in the middle of the league, then what? I think they will sell it within 2-3 years if and when they reach the championship.
Here is my take.....for what it is worth. They will sell, but not any time soon. As everyone mention already, their heart and soul is into this town and this team. The money from the streaming series will likely dry up in a few years and its popularity wanes. That will not be tragic as R&R will still have the money to sustain the team with the structure that they continue to put into place. The thing that will/may make them walk away is the extreme amount of money and time it will take to move through the EFL - Champions and arrive at the Premier League, if that is even possible. Each move up become exponentially more difficult and more expensive. At some point in time the love for the town and the team will get crushed by the need to keep raising money and finding more ways to keep Wrexham viable. There will come a time when they will need deeper pockets to continue to make this happen. There will come a time when they will only own 49% of the team. That will be the day they step out. At 49%, your just there for the photo op, putting your face on the posters. I don't see there 2 as those kind of guys. They will sell. We will be grateful for what they did for the town and the team.
I 'might' know one of the guys... there's absolutely no way they're selling it. They didn't do this to turn a quick buck, they're invested in the team and the town.
Unless they sell to another A lister all the big name sponsors will disappear, merch sales will drop and ticket sales (maybe not entirely a bad thing for local fans who can't always get a seat). The club is evidently in much better shape since R&R's ownership, but the star factor will disappear when Reynolds does. If it's just a financial investment for them, it makes more sense for them to wait and sell a championship league team.
If you hear ryan and rob talk about the club they dont even call themselves owners but custodians for the club. And if im not wrong ryan even said the plan down the road is to give back the ownership to the club itself so selling it to make money isnt in the plan at all.
Reynolds is a business and marketing genius.Their goal is the premiere league, where the team would be worth $200 million to a billion dollars. That's when they sell. That is a long way away, with no guarantee to ever get there. They will need a complete roster overhaul to do it.
I bet if you ask Ryan Reynolds whether he’d rather win an Oscar or take Wreham to the premier league as an owner. No question the club, talk about a movie, he’ll play himself.
Come on TBFootball... your "Why Ryan Reynolds Will SELL Wrexham Soon" title is BS. No wonder you only have 32k views in over 2 weeks. You did get me to watch it till the end so see if you had a compelling story to sell but alas nothing substantial to warrant the title.
The owners is not in it to make profit…. they are long term owners u can see the way they treat the club… respecting fans… mingling with town…. willing to put out their money in the face of not getting a return
Their isn’t a profit in selling the team for them. The Wrexham project is worth more as a public relations boon for their other products. It’s a win win to keep Wrexham. They will pour money into it to get them to the Premier League because that’s a story that will live on in sports history forever. They will need about 10 years and a billion dollars but it’s going to happen
Do you believe your own video title? You obviously haven't watched Welcome To Wrexham, if you had you'd realise the passion and admiration they have for the town and the players and their families, it's much more than a business venture and are in it long term, it'll take them 5 to 10 years to reach their goal of playing EPL, they're not going anywhere
They won't sell it as long as their W2W show is doing well. They might once that is shut down, but i don't see that happening for a while. Its just like Clarksons farm, the guy doesn't have to make a dime from the farm as the show will easily cover all the money he is spending there.
Why would they sell a business thats growing, has not yet met full expectations and in its infancy. The club is already valued at 3x what has been invested and it has a "moat.". Plus and its a big plus, they dont need the money and seeming really enjoy what they're doing
He may one day but cant see him selling it anytime soon. He and rob are the reason that Wrexham is world famous. Its making them lots of money do hed want a lot to justify selling it and i dont think anyone would pay enough for Wrexham as i dont think wrexham would pull in the world crowd, sponsorships and tv deals without them
i don't see them selling share before getting to the championship unless their new partners would bring great gains to the club as the financial burdens to catch up get huge in the championship and they should be fine in League One due to the clubs high income giving them an advantage in FFP rules for the league which is lost in the championship
100.000.000 pounds? Doood, it's not about the money anymore, it's about media-attention and so on... Big money has been invested in football throughout the last several decades. Football and mass-sports in general is far from just profitable business

All I see here is a TH-camr jumping on the Wrexham bandwagon to profit on their success with a non story. They will one day sell, like all Football club owners do, but it isn't anytime soon.
How long do you see their tenure lasting?
@@TBFootball365 I can see them getting the club into the Championship and then needing new investment to join them, but I believe they will stick to their goal of reaching the Premier League. After that, it'll probably be the case of the club out growing them and them needing to sell to a wealthier owner, to progress further.
It doesn't matter if you're a lover or hater of this venture,it just goes to show how when you give people hope anything is possible,I love what they have done for my town.
It is an amazing story!
Selling the club and selling shares/parts of the club are two massively different things. It will increase the market-value of the club like crazy and make their already millions worth many more millions. They won’t cash out 100% unless the offer would already place them in PL
Maybe they will get investment to help them reach the Premier League?
👍🏼
not selling… Rob n Ryan demonstrate that they are not in it for the money
they go into the community and take a part of it…. they are two genuine guys
and it is obvious Wrexham os becoming more and more popular… money won’t come short
… it also looks like they’ll see promotion
I think they will be in League 1 next season for sure!
Not a chance in hell they will sell. they have the tv show and the merch and sold out every match...you would have to be a moron to sell at the moment
They are doing a fantastic job!
You'd have to be a moron to even suggest it
Gossips are gossips and gossips are liars. Reynolds is Canadian born and will keep to his words.
Perhaps you could start by… you know… pronouncing McElhenney correctly 😂.
It was so annoying how he pronounced it!!
title of the video is click-bait. they're not selling anytime soon, they've said numerous times they're in it for the long run
Would be amazing for Wrexham!
Ryan and Rob love Wrexham too much. It's become part of their lives and the people of the town have made them like family! Neither one will sell.
Lets wait and see!
I think mostly likely they will sell part of the club but will stay on and be the face of the club
They're both emotionally invested to the hilt. We love em, they're rebuilding our community after umpteen decades of under investment and losses of local industries. See you in the Premier league guys!!
Loving the optimism!
The odds of him selling are slim
If he sells I’d be shocked but I can see it happening
Stranger things have happened!
What a job they have done!
Agreed!
Look im seeing alot of they will sell i dont think so i think they might bring in a 3rd investor with a bigger share at somepoint but i think they dont have to sell for them.i dont think its about money its passion and ofcourse money to u are right defo but i kinda hope they keep running it only bloody thing in football i like reading about
Thanks for the comment!
@@TBFootball365 no problem u make great videos put alot of detail in apreciated
One more beautiful story about the reach and heart of this Welsh club, and the people who make this Wrexham phenomenon so special.
this is not just a business investment for they're emotionally invested in the club and the community, when they get to the championship, where they'll need to spend 10's of millions to get players or the EPL which will require a bigger stadium and bigger spending power, they;ll bring in investors but will still be a part of the people making the important decisions..
Great insight!
Racecourse Ground haves enough seats for EPL tho.
lol he won’t sell it. He wants to get to the prem. if you lived here you’d see how much he’s done and is doing.
He’s done a great job for sure!
Thank you for your input! Very insightful
That's a ridiculous notion they are not going to sell
🤷🏼♂️
They won’t sell because it is not just about money given they both have more than you can spend on lifetime, particularly Reynolds. They have always said this is also social project for them in relation to the town. Owners in it for the money would not bother to learn Welsh 😅
🤞
Great video, but I absolutely hate the clickbait title...
Thanks man!
You don't understand, they bought this team for one reason, and one reason only.....They want the ring! Why would a man worth two billion, sell this dream? Trust me, they are going for the top of the Pyramid.
i have watched football for 40 years and i remember the days wrexham were a powerhouse in football. they have won everything.
You should have over 10,000 subscribers. How do you only have 300
Thanks so much, really appreciate that!
they will soon learn that football is a great way of making a small fortune, but only if you start with a large one.
Its also a great way to lose a fortune if you’re not careful!
I think realistically they will eventually sell a majority stake in Wrexham but will be kept on as the face of the club
Welcome to Wrexham just won 5 emmy's, no way they are gonna sell anytime soon.
How long do you think they will last?
They won’t sell the club.
How far do you think they can take Wrexham?
@@TBFootball365 As a Wrecsam fan who has met them both, I think they are in this for the long term. They’ll go all the way with us. I have never seen football club owners like them. Their respect, not just for the club but also the local area/culture/people/language, is unmatched. They genuinely care. They are part of this community. They are what every club owner should be like.
This video is quality, love this channel! Keep up with the great content
Much appreciated!
@@TBFootball365 you didn't even bother to pronounce McElhenney correctly...sloppy...he sold this idea to Ryan
I feel like they'll find partners. Especially if we make it to the champ. I don't see them selling the majority of the club or even exiting completely unless it becomes financially unsustainable. They're in it for the long run.
Congratulations on riding on the coattails of Wrexham AFC with click bait titles.
🙃
They are my favourite football owners and probably the best out there, all things considered.
They’ve done a wonderful job so far!
Great video a really good insight into the history of wrexham
Thanks mate, appreciate that!
The TB in TBFootball stands for "Total Bollocks"
They are actors, so it’s hard to tell. But they seem to be emotionally invested. I can’t see them selling while it’s making money, and I suspect they may tolerate a few years of losses.
Interesting take that they are actors! Who knows their next move!
Makes for an interesting few years for sure!
They would definitely sell if they got in the prem 😂 massive profits and achievements
@@JoeYetski-lf7dw No, even then I don't think they'd sell - at least not immediately. Maybe if they stagnated in the PL lower half for several years, or even relegated out.
i think so too! @@JoeYetski-lf7dw
Like Luton Town you have to respect their story. I would love to see them make the English Premier League someday. They have heart.. from the owners to the club and right down to the supporters.
Robr is from Philadelphia, the home of Rocky. They are the craziest, obsessed fans in America. When they lock on, it's a fight. Period.
R&R may sell shares in the future (in the Prem), but they won't sell a controlling stake.
Good point!
Shame you can't pronounce McElhenney (Mackel Henny) as there's even a song about it!
I’ve learnt it now! 😁
Theres no way he's gonna sell it any time soon. He loves the club
Great video 😄
Thanks 😁
Ryan Reynolds will sell Wrexham
Only when they reach the Premiership
Not a bad shout!
It all still feels like a dream to be honest
I bet! Super pleased for Wrexham fans
Staying for the long term.
Would be great for Wrexham!
Reynolds is a business and marketing genius.Their goal is the premiere league, where the team would be worth $200 million to a billion dollars. That's when they sell. That is a long way away, with no guarantee to ever get there. They will need a complete roster overhaul to do it.
Another great video! I think they will take Wrexham all the way
Wrexham in the Premier League 👀
I bet if you ask Ryan Reynolds whether he’d rather win an Oscar or take Wreham to the premier league as an owner. No question the club, talk about a movie, he’ll play himself.
He would sold after promotion but he did not, why...because he loves this city and team.
❤️🏴
Come on TBFootball... your "Why Ryan Reynolds Will SELL Wrexham Soon" title is BS. No wonder you only have 32k views in over 2 weeks. You did get me to watch it till the end so see if you had a compelling story to sell but alas nothing substantial to warrant the title.
The owners is not in it to make profit…. they are long term owners
u can see the way they treat the club… respecting fans… mingling with town…. willing to put out their money in the face of not getting a return
imagine thinking he's gonna sell something he's mentally invested into... these assumptions are so cringe.
Stranger things have happened!

Am I the only one finding this video a little low on sound volume?
Amazing video though.. :)
They won't sell till they get to the premier league, when they could sell the team for around a billion dollars.
Why would you sell , when your money is actually giving you more fun than money can buy
Actual video starts at 5:30
I can see them selling when they get a few more promotions and it starts to cost a bundle to own.
No way he will sell. This story is too valuable. The big money broadcasting rights from the US are coming soon. And all because of them.
He may one day but cant see him selling it anytime soon. He and rob are the reason that Wrexham is world famous. Its making them lots of money do hed want a lot to justify selling it and i dont think anyone would pay enough for Wrexham as i dont think wrexham would pull in the world crowd, sponsorships and tv deals without them
He wont sell, plenty of money to be made yet and he has eyes on making this club more successful.
Clickbate video title spoiled an otherwise good video. Up the town🏴🏴🏴
Thanks mate glad you liked the video!
He won't sell... his heart is in it now! You would know that if you paid attention.

i don't see them selling share before getting to the championship unless their new partners would bring great gains to the club as the financial burdens to catch up get huge in the championship and they should be fine in League One due to the clubs high income giving them an advantage in FFP rules for the league which is lost in the championship
If anything I can see them seeking extra help especially when if Wrexham gets to the PL.
An incredible story. Hope they go up..
Me too! Wrexham in League 1 would be epic
100.000.000 pounds? Doood, it's not about the money anymore, it's about media-attention and so on... Big money has been invested in football throughout the last several decades. Football and mass-sports in general is far from just profitable business
He ain't selling it any time soon. Br don't need the money and I think he wants to see how successful they can get.
Im excited to see where it goes!
