Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.
Check your local regulations, as each state and territory is different, before you travel into or though NP with your dog. Here is the Parks Victoria website for those of you wishing to read up on Victoria's laws 👉 www.parks.vic....
I'm a die hard old pan panner. Those big riffles belong in a sluice box as far as i'm concerned. As i see people panning with those pans i see that they tend to use more force to "rake" the bigger rocks and sand off and then they swish it from side to side. All gold can first be seen on the side of the concentrates towards the bottom, then they swish back and forth and you can actually watch the water roll up the sands that were on the bottom, splashing them over the top of the cons. To much force.
Thats it.
Its the difference between knowing what to do without ABS in a car and relying on it
@@VoGusProspecting lol, I've had to learn that pretty quickly recently with my car. I had never driven without it, even tho I know what to do in theory. Now I've had a bit of practice after we broke the abs sensor!
Fern's ninja stick trick @3:33 had me laughing! Great gold, Chris.
I used a large metal gold pan, and I planned out a couple of grams. The way my grandfather showed me and my brothers back when I was a kid when he used a old frying pan. Up here in Idaho he was born in 1895, his father taught him when he was making a living doing gold prospecting.
Love how you incorporate history into your prospecting. I see Fern was cracking the whip - uh, stick - to make sure you stayed on the gold. Congrats, again, on the 100K!
She was a hard boss that day
Love the slow down, learn more each time...Fern's huge now!!!
Fern is energized! Glad you’re out and doing what you love. Thank you for all of you entertainment sir. Lol
Lol 😂 RightOn, on…”The Creek Provides.” 👍🏼
Awesome day in a beautiful location! Some nice gold, too. Can't believe how fast Fern is growing!
Good bit of gold and looks like you had a good time.👍👍
We all had a blast mate
Gorgeous scenery and got some gold too. Sweet.
CHRIS NICE WORK MATE. It's good to see you and your Mate's and the dogs out having fun on the Creek. The gold is just a bonus lol👍😎🇨🇦👍😎🇨🇦👍😎🇨🇦
Awesome adventure Mate Thank you and please stay safe 🙏
You to buddy
What a nice video ! I learn a lot about new panning skills ! Thanks ! Big support from France 🇨🇵🇨🇵
@10:10 I heard someone sneeze ...BLESS YOU 🤧
Clever spot!👍 up hill water race....now I have to pack a level in!
That pan has a ridge in it that came in ,in the late 70's early 80's the old pans didn't have that ridge in them ,I started out with a tin pan as plastic was a thing of the future back then and silicone was not even invented, so much has changed since the early 70's ,it's great to be alive and see new innovations
Good vid as usual mate. I have quite often used shot gun pellets as panning partners, by dropping two or three into each pan. If I have all three pellets and no gold, then I know there was none in the sample.
Congratulations on 100k 👍
Very interesting Chris. Thanks for sharing your adventures
Always learn so much from your vids Chris👍🏻 Thanks for sharing⛏🏴
Much love from Bulgaria mate, nice and funny video :-)
That old pan reminds me of a pie pan that I used one time for panning lead. It worked pretty darn well.
Mmmmm.... pie
But that was $8.36 of fun, just being out in the bush, well done it all adds up.
Looks like the creek had some extra water in it.
Cheers
Brad
Exactly, this is my version of going to the movies so it's nice to get a cash back on your entertainment!
Would it be worth digging small ruts in the clay after cleaning to manufacture those pocket holes to improve clean-up next time you go back after a few floods to refill? I use a basalt riverbed and go back and clean out the cracks every year or so.
Interesting idea.
I'd only say that it could work. Perhaps a long term test?
I'm watching it interestingly. You did a good job.
Beautiful dogs.
Your videos make my back hurt. Haha Well done.
Ah that's just because you don't understand how broken I am physically and this is actually comfortable.
great day out fam. keep on digging fam GOLD SQUAD OUT!!!
This was realy fun. Lovely dog. Good job
Thank you 🤗
Good evening Chris
Great to see this. Might take the vintage relic with me on the hunt next time
Thank you
Have you ever thought of hitting the beach in Esperance high banking the beach? Hydrogeology indicates that all that water up in Kalgoorlie is pumped from the ocean by earthquakes. From the Esperance area all the way north the gold is localized to one main channel. Just a thought if you ever have a chance to go on vacation and want to bring a sluice along.
That is one well seasoned gold pan... Nice Gold as Allways and Congrats at 100K Whoo Hoo! Cheers from Canada!
Shes certainly rusty
Sure there is gold in the creek but the big deposit after a flood year is found where the water went up over the top of the bank . The gold gets deposited on top of the bank where it falls out of the main current . You will find it where ever the big current slams into the bank up on top of that bank is where you find it.
Nice bro Chris!! Keep it up!! JJ
seeing how your doing this just for fun,, my question is this one of many times you throw that ack in the creek because it was just for fun? i have had plenty of hard days where i worked from sunrise to sunset for that much gold
Do you ever do any fishing on the larger creeks, while you are panning?
100K, way to go.
Thanks mate.
Like 134 and 3 years a moldy hat and love it
i had three of those untel this year when my van rold
my first steelpan was so old that it only had a half groove in it.
Get em Chris!! Yet making want to take a copper pan to the creek that I have. Hmmm, technical panning? I accept the challenge
Do it, itll be a learning experience if nothing else!
Fern was just beating everyone one up, with sticks lol
She was a monster I tell ya
Hi from Edmonton Alberta Canada I plan on our river for flour gold with old steel pan and get a gram or two every time I am there
Looks like you have a Klesh Guitar special pan. The Ole Krusty Rusty pan. Lmfao.
Hey I have one of them pans I found it in an old building they was gonna tear down
Notice how much rust was removed by panning? I guess a few more outings and the pan will be rustless. Nice work, keep it up.
I’d be dredging those deeper parts of that river surely there is good gold hidden in those deeper parts.?
OK, Chris, this video put me over the top. I'm going to get one of Kleshe's (?) starter kits before my next trip to my nephews ranch in Huntsville, Arkansas, USA. He has 170 acres with 100 acres of bottom land and 4,000 linear feet of creek that crosses the bottom land. There's no known placer mining that's ever taken pace in NW Arkansas, but for the cost of a pan and a few instruments like a snuffer bottle and.... I think I'll give it a try. Funny, I live in Northwest Nevada, one of the richest gold and silver areas in the world, yet I've never had the motivation to try my hand at a pan or two. Maybe I'll strike it rich. Whatever happens, I know I'll enjoy myself, and I thank you for all the instruction. Happy hunting, my friend...........
What a fun and relaxing day.
"You know staff that I don't know about, don't you?!"
👍374...1 hour elapsed since posting...awesome
You sure that’s a gold pan or you using your old rusty metal dinner bowl Chris lol 😂
@Vo-Gus - Where did you get that triangle pick axe from, and what is the brand / model name? Seems really useful!
Stumpy picks
What camera are you using for filming?
This was my phone.
@@VoGusProspecting bro seriously. I have an iPhone 12 Max set on the highest setting and mine don’t come out that good
Hello V.G.P., When you say the ripples pan's aren't as good, could it be that you're not using them correctly??🤔 I've NEVER seen a professional panner hold those pants at such of a high degree while doing the "wash over"!!!👂🤔 I've watched probably two dozen different panners use those rippled/ruffled pans.👂 NOTE: It's usually not the tools fault but in how the tool was used, that's a fact!!!🧐👂 Use what ya want that's best for you, but when "ANY PAN IS PROPERLY STRATIFIED, no amountable gold will be lost" (unless the user isn't being careful!)! 🤔👂 Just say'n. Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 👍👍🙏😇👊
What if you would blacken the metal pan on fire, wouldn't you able to see the gold way easier from black pan?
I did just that. Future video release
Poor Gadzee.... "Are you on it?"
no but i did find a blue sapphire
Nice!!!
Well you know.
@@VoGusProspecting just you wait just you wait
Is it really a replica pan? Isn’t it just a gold pan once you use it to find gold? 😜
Thats, annoyingly accurate.
Quality clean up. I really need to get back out again soon.
Let’s go!!!
Love the 'old skool' which got me thinking (a hobby not a full time thinker lol) how much gold per pan (on average) would the real older timers have gotten??? in the hey day??
have you ever came across a crock while panning?
No crocs in Victoria
Kinda hard to see the gold in your rusty pan
My guess is .082 back to the vid… beans better than I thought NOW A SERIOUS QUESTION what did the old timers use for snuffer bottles in Australia ….. thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏻👊🏻 P.S. gadzy was on it but he’s not telling you where because he’s tired of you hogging all his good spots….😂😂
You know that's a good question
Yes, it's not the size of the wave but the motion of the ocean that counts ... my excuse and I'm sticking to it!! .... lol
I just wanna dig a hole but there isn't any yellow in the dirt here :(
Damn.. I was waiting to see you clean out under the root, but you never did.
The tree deserves to be left undisturbed
That has got to be the rustiest ugliest looking Pan I've ever seen about been but man is it getting some good gold
Must be a real issue keeping camera men when they all catch gold fever and want to pan, themselves, instead of filming YOU
Cut furrows in the clay.......
