Rudolph Valentino is like a magnet to the eyes. When he appears in a film or clip you simply cannot take your eyes off of him! He truly was born with the ability to to pull you in with his charisma and sensuality, and once you have been hooked, you're hooked for good.
In addition to Valentino's charisma, he appears to be having a fun time and is so congenial. No snobby attitude there, except for his wife. Is she ever mean looking, though I know how talented she was. Winifred Shaughnessy was a dedicated workaholic who found her true calling later in life studying Egyptology. I admire both of them very much. But he was the entertainer, not her.
What a damned shame that there is so precious little film and that the quality isn't at all good, but one thing stands out VERY clearly to me is Mineralava's extreme grace and beauty and style. She must have been really something to behold in person, dancing or otherwise.

The "queen" was very sweet looking...I find it so frustrating that he could record 2 songs, yet no one thought to simply record his speaking voice even in an interview....Heck, a guy spoke on the recording to introduce "El Relicario"....why couldn't that have been Rudy?? GRRRR>
There is a recording of him singing though. From that record, you can sense he had a deep, masculine voice that would have carried him thru the talkies movies. A lot of male actors sounded weird and didn’t dare make a talkie

I think that you would be surprised to know that my dear grandmother who had 8 children in her lifetime once babysat Rudolph Valentino. He had a very long name and his first name was not Rudolph. I’m a grandmother now myself and my grandmother passed away many years ago when she was in her nineties. I could never talk to her because she only spoke Italian and I only spoke and knew English. Can you imagine how much I missed by not being able to converse with her.

Hi! Well for sure this Rudy Portrait is startling (to say the least) because the pic is so well preserved, clear, and in pristine condition! Our Subject's head is not in an absolute side position (where we would have easily seen Rudy's charismatic "nose" profile) but is turned slightly to a 3 quarter view towards us, thereby hiding his protruding nose a bit. But those "eyes & eyebrows" are Unmistakably Rudy's! His Woman Natacha Rambova was a Gifted Costume/Fashion Designer and I believe she helped shaped Rudolph Valentino's Lady Killing Style from her own "Wet Dream Meltdown" thoughts of how a Man should look. I enjoyed the video and wasn't trying to be negative but do you see how it looks different from his usual profile? It could just be the facial expression but he looks different.

Hi! Well for sure this Rudy Portrait is startling (to say the least) because the pic is so well preserved, clear, and in pristine condition! Our Subject's head is not in an absolute side position (where we would have easily seen Rudy's charismatic "nose" profile) but is turned slightly to a 3 quarter view towards us, thereby hiding his protruding nose a bit. But those "eyes & eyebrows" are Unmistakably Rudy's! His Woman Natacha Rambova was a Gifted Costume/Fashion Designer and I believe she helped shaped Rudolph Valentino's Lady Killing Style from her own "Wet Dream Meltdown" thoughts of how a Man should look. I bet she's the one who ripped off the black Living Room Drape Curtain Cords and affixed them to Rudy's Hat and Shirt Collar!
