It’s interesting, it really feels like the message to fans to say “we’ll always be together, but please still have a real life, don’t miss out because of us”
that's so true, this group is ironically one of the few groups that I stan...i appreciate their message a lot and i feel like it's a really big one to address in this swipe-swipe-swipe world we're consuming. :)
I believe Ador said the video was about the relationship between fans and idols. Which makes sense. They are real but mostly only sees them through the camera...like we only see them on a screen. And then she breaks her camera to let go of that relationship with her idols to make way for a real relationship.
Holy sh** that makes so much more sense! Especially because the New Jeans fans are called bunnies and the bunny is in the box! I knew that bunny had some inner hidden meaning!
@@gunwooks if it follows this theory, the guy is just the female lead's significant others. Which shows that she went and live a normal life, having a boyfriend
Its cute cuz they literally sending a message that they still support us to have a good life on our own even if we dont stan our fav kpop groups anymore. its just, heartwarming
Hi PD. When the lady open up the box, there a BUNNY inside the box. NewJeans Fandom name is "Bunnies" aka "Tokki". this is a song made for their fans & the Girls. The girl in the video is deciding to choose whether to stay with her fav NewJeans girls in her imaginary world or to choose the one that she love in her real world. The "Deer" in the snow meaning she is still in her imaginary world, while the "Deer" at the corridor meaning she choose to face her real world & the "Deer" took a last look at her & move on. The last scene of the video was when she became an adult, looking back at her old memories & her love for NewJeans. After many years passes by, NewJeans was still there & they never leave her before.....hope it make sence. cheer PD!!
@@user-un5wz2bu6f I think that some of the footage are real, but she was not the one recording. The footage is like a MV she would watch from her favourite group. Then she would imagine herself being the one recording, since she wouldn't really be able to be with them in front of the camera
@@user-un5wz2bu6fthose footage is equivalent to their music videos/songs. She's holding the camera is equivalent to fans always watching and supporting New Jeans.
The story telling is just so surreal and dreamy, slightly melancholy, like something you cherish badly yet so easy to fade away. Youth, unspoken first love, friendship of invisible imagined maidens... One will never forget those hurtful things that has been generated from the old days.
I had put this in the side a reaction also but i feel like adding it here also will make more people aware about the story this mv tells. This theory is not mine but somebody else's but i feel like this is really good and you all will be understanding the mv better through this
I love that the MV is open to let us create our theories. From what I interpreted, this was all real at some point. New Jeans members were Heesoo's best friends until they died in a accident. I believe they all were involved in a accident, and Heesoo was the only survivor. That's why she has the cast, and also, I saw somewhere that the members wrote "Please don't die" in the cast, which means that they are taking care of here and don't want her to feel guilty about surviving. Heesoo is alone, so she uses the camera to recall her time with her best friends. She doesn't want to let them go, and the girls seems to be scared of letting her alone too. She can't connect with the boy she likes because of the grief, he notices she is sad and lonely but doens't know what to do. At the end of Side A, when Heesoo finally comes to her mind and realize her friends are dead, the deer shows up. One of the meaning of the deers is that they represent gentleness and heart intelligence, so a deer may present themselves to you if you've been hurt and your heart needs tending. Heesoo stars to healing, and breaks her camera to try to move on. Thats's why we se the girls fading in the forest, and Heesoo walks out in the rain with the umbrella without the girls. In the end, she gets to know the boy, and the deer shows up and leave, probably because Heesoo is "cured" from her loneliness and sadness, and can move on from the grief and continue her live. Later, when she's older, and it's leaving the house where she created so many beautiful memories with her best friends, she goes back to the footage she recorded of them when they we're still alive, and can smile. To me, It's such a beautiful history about lost, friendship, youth, growing pains and healing. I love New Jeans so much
This was my initial interpretation too! As well what you said, I also saw the deer as a “deer in the headlights” suggesting an accident. The para social relationship interpretation seems the most likely but I don’t see why this can’t also be true. It’s still pretty vague and I love that we can break it down in so many ways.
Yes. This is it. It's kinda obvious to me. The cast is the primary clue. Another important point is on Side B when the protagonist 'accepts' that they're no longer with her, there's a shot pointing at the girls' backs while dancing and fading away through grass. IMO that symbolizes that they're being 'burried'.
I think the overall theme is about loss, loneliness, grief, overcoming and acceptance. In Side A she has these imaginery friends, or memories, or idol group that she loves (depending on which theory) to give her confort and help her get through life. But in the end the New Jeans girls can't replace real life relationsships (for example this guy). And if she indulges to much in the phantasy/memories it can also be isolating. I think the glitching is the slow realization that she has to move on. In Side B she starts to distance herself from the girls. Just like an idol group accompanies us for a while but eventuelly we fall out of love. Or if we are going with the dead friends theory she starts to overcome the loss. She stores them away and continues her life without them. But then in the end, when she is older, she is looking back and she is finally able to cherish the old memories. She smiles and for a brief moment the memories come back to life. It's a very sad but also happy ending. This feeling of nostalgia when you grow older is something so universally human, I think that's the reason why this piece of art resonates with so many people and everyone has their own personal interpration.
I need a choreography video for this. NewJeans has such a unique dance style in the 4th Gen, and they managed to keep it consistent from their debut, and yet it works for a song that has a drastically different feel than their previous releases.
Shoutout to everyone keeping some hope and making positive theories, because my brain immediately went to schizophrenia. Everything after Heesoo dropping the camera reminded me of ‘A Beautiful Mind’ (2001). My theory is the accident that caused Heesoo’s broken arm also resulted in the death of her 5 friends (most likely something that happened in a wilderness area because that deer seems to be a negative reminder for Heesoo), but in her grief she’s still hallucinating her friends in her life: being at school, hanging out with her, dancing, etc. That’s why they can be on their own in the parking lot dancing, or they can call her phone, or wait at the door for her. That’s why they can look different and change hairstyles and clothes. I imagine recording their adventures on her camera was something Heesoo used to do, and so she continues to do it, but to nothing. This is why no one at the school is questioning it or actively getting in her face about it (most of us know how South Korean schools are and can imagine how a ‘weird’ kid just randomly recording classrooms would be treated unless something was going on). To that point, I imagine some of the footage might be real, like that older tape Heesoo watches at the end (also shoutout to the Bunnies in the box). But in a moment of clarity, Heesoo decides to start ignoring the hallucinations, knowing they’re not real. Destroying the camera is the first step, then walking home alone, ignoring the phone calls, then interacting with real people like that guy. Eventually I imagine she moves on and makes a recovery. Finally, when the girls show up at the end, that could be a relapse of schizophrenia (many people experience relapses over their life), but I imagine that’s just a simple flashback of memory, as a young Heesoo does walk into the room with them, and all of the boxes disappear.
My first impression was that it represented idols and fans relationship, in a "they're there if you feel alone" type of way and took the deer as a symbol of losing innocence, moving on, changing fantasy for real life (in this case, the guy). But then I went on the internet and found the CREEPIEST theories ever
hi just wanna say Ador is releasing tapes on a channel called Ban Heeso , which are supposed to be dated around the late 90s (‘98) which has all the videos from the tape recorder , some of the girls , some of the surrounding area! some of the descriptions have clues, i think you should definitely check them out when you have the chance. they are both haunting and beautifully filmed!
This hits me so much especially when I am going to be 25 soon. Been a Kpop fan since 2010 and I was in Heesoo's position where I would occasionally daydream about being close to my idols (in a healthy amount, of course... I hope......) Then as time went by, adulting happened and responsibilities came. There were moments where I feel like I should stop investing so much in Kpop stuff but in the end they will always be a part of me and something that shaped me to be who I am now. They will never really be gone from my life and will just come back like at the end of the MV.
This video is about how Heesoo represents fans (also the camera) how we see idols only on screen and how they don’t even know us, and then she breaks the camera to break the relationship. This is just the bside imagine how OMG! Will be
She was never part of that group. She was on the outside lookiing in. The girls are real. Her friendship with them is not. She was not recording the girls with that camcorder. She is watching replays of the girls' footages. The boy is the only real relationship in her life. In this version, she was never shown together with the girls. In side A, she was holding the umbrella imagining walking together with the girls in a clear day. When in fact she was alone and it was raining. This is what I got from Bookish Theories. I totally missed that myself. In side A she was shown as part of the group hug on the rooftop. In side B, she was not. She set aside her fantasy relationship with the girls in the camcorder by dropping it from the rooftop, and embraced the real relationship in her life, the boy. THIS WAS FUN! The song catchy too.
There is a movie released in the year 2000 entitled "Ditto" which was recently remade in 2022. Here is the plot of the movie according to asianwiki: Plot In 1979, college student Yoon So-Eun (Kim Ha-Neul) begins talking to another student via her ham radio. In the year 2000, college student Ji-In (Yoo Ji-Tae) begins talking to another student via his radio. Both of these students makes plans to meet their radio friend and through a series misunderstandings begin to realize that the persons they are talking to live in different time periods. so maybe both newjeans and the girl filming them are real and alive but lives in different timelines where she is from the past and newjeans are from the present and instead of communicating through a radio, they are communicating via the camera. (maybe) That is why in the end, the girl was shown to have grown up while newjeans were still highschool students. In the scenes where newjeans disappeared on the tapes, maybe the magic which made it possible for them to communicate was gone which is why she broke the camera and moved on with her life (her moving on was shown when she was walking with the guy) And maybe the reason why newjeans are seen in the clips when she watched the tapes in the present time in contrary to what was shown in previous scenes is because in the present time, newjeans already exist while in the past they are not yet born/ they are still babies.
rlllyyy love the storyline of ditto's MVs nd how diff theories & interpretations can be made from it. whether it be the accident theory (the girls are dead, hee soo is the only one to survive and thus has to cope w her grief nd survivors guilt, being hunted by memories until she finally breaks free) or the interpretation of how the MVs show the relationship between fans and idols and the importance of taking a step back and focusing on the real world. deer sightings can mean that the person may be detached from reality and has to focus on their present. ties nicely into both theories
i love that you covered this. it always gives me a newfound appreciation for well-filmed MVs when you describe the details you notice and your thoughts on them, because there’s always something i would have never noticed.
Heesoo (Bae hee Soo), who is the 6th girl in the MV, alludes to the New Jeans fandom, making a pun with her name "Bae Hee So" to refer to the Bunnies fandom (or so I read around 🤔), thus, the video tells us the relationship of the fandom with new jeans showing that they will be with the fandom accompanying us at all times and vice versa (which is what is seen in the MV side A while Heeso records and accompanies Nwjns), but that somehow or another, as we grow up, we start to mature and take other priorities in our lives (like the girl at the end of side B already starts to have a romantic interest), where we will have to move on to the next stage, leaving behind nice memories of those who accompanied us during those paths (which represents him when he decides to break the camera), as it was and will be new jeans for the fandom, that's why in the MV side B, Heeso begins to move forward in his life, leaving behind his dependence on his idols and maturing, keeping her memories in a box, and that's when we see her as an adult dressed in white coming back to relive her memories of her youth with new jeans (as seen at the end of the MV B, new jeans never grew up in her memories and only came back to relive her memories). I think ador had confirmed this theory 🤔. On the other hand, the fandom also gives another interpretation, where the girl of the MV was the only survivor of an accident, and not getting over the death of her friends, she sees them in her head creating scenarios with them, but there comes a point where she must leave that state and move forward in her life. It should be added that the deer has a spiritual meaning of strength, longevity, also, it is given a meaning to whoever appears to it (both in dreams and in real life) of a starting point to stay in the past, or keep moving forward into the future 👀, and in Korea it also has a meaning of friendship. + There is also another fact, from a Korean movie called Ditto (which means "the same feeling") from the year 2000 and now has a remake from 2022, which is about 2 students from different eras who communicate with each other through a radio that managed to connect each era by an eclipse. They may have occupied that concept to create the atmosphere of nostalgia because if you look closely, the current students have a different uniform than the girls of NWJNS, which can be interpreted as they are from different student eras 👀. From my point of view, they played so well with the feeling of nostalgia in the MVs that I even got a lump in my throat while watching them hahahahah 🥺.
Side A: My theory is that the girls and Heeseo was on a trip in a car in the winter time, and their car got into an accident avoiding a deer. Heeseo was the only survivor. She’s only got a small arm injury as you can see in the video. As she’s the only one to survive, she has a survivor guilt and can’t accept that the girls are gone. Side B: She’s starting to accept that the girls are gone. She realized that she needs to move on and got rid of the camera too cause it reminds her of them. I’m assuming because she still have someone else to love who is the guy. As she started moving on, all the illusion started going away one by one. Years later, she rewatched the tapes as she still miss them.
@@russ3l the fan idol theory thingy just doesnt make sense to me lol its so vague. i get that her name is ban hee soo but that could literally be to make the fans feel included or smth.
@@reonmel8523xactly, it just feels like a red herring. A lot of ppl is like “but the director mention it in an interview”!!! but he didn’t deny or confirm why it is so vague and also didn’t explain whether there’s only one interpretation of the video. It really doesn’t make a lot of sense the idol fan thingy and tbh, kpop fans will hate me for saying this, but it’s such a cheesy and sort of cringe concept for a first comeback, also Shin wooseok (who literally does not do mv’s typically) wouldn’t sign on if it was this one sided shallow mv😅 also who the hell depicts a fan as someone who broke their arm and wants to jump off a building and runs in the rain and films air, it’s just not a very relatable character for a typical fan. it’s also so typical of MHJ to have multiple explanations in her concepts and the worst thing is SHE NEVER EXPLAINS THEM urg, she’s been doing this ever since she was in SM lol
If you are thinking of subbing to the patreon because you want to watch their older videos, don't. They're having major problems with Vimeo atm and more than half, if not more, of all their older videos are unavailable at this time. This is something that should have been addressed on TH-cam a long time ago.
Can you tell me if they still upload on patreon? They have been pretty M.I.A. and super inconsistent here on yt for almost a year now so i'm just curious if they are sticking to the schedule there and if its worth subscribing?
@@Laura-pq3uh Yes, they still post almost daily on Patreon. There are some issues (not always sticking to the schedule for example) but overall, for the amount of content you get, I think it's still worth subbing.

Its Park Jihu most famous right now from her amazing job in "All of Us are Dead" series on netflix, btw should definitely watch it. @@lourencoesteves3556 They just recently announced they're changing the prices. I love PDs drama reactions, but it's not that affordable for many people sadly. I feel bad for you guys. But it's also an opportunity to go out and touch some grass :)
Ador’s mv vision was brilliant. It’s the type of video that compels ppl to watch it 10-20 times and get exposed to the song over and over again. 2023 will be the year of the rabbit… and the Bunnies.
There’s theory that it’s actually inspired by the movie ‘Ditto’ which actually has a recent remake. Basically in the movie ditto, two students from the same school communicates with each other through a phone(?) and they found out that one of them is from the past (1990’s) while the other is from the present (2000’s). This explains why Ban Heeso (the camera girl) has a different uniform than newjeans. Although there was a scene where Hanni (a member in newjeans) has the same uniform as her but then other times, she has the same uniform as newjeans (I can’t explain this theory too well since I haven’t watched the movie)
The concept of this song and the mv are the relationship between New Jeans and the fans. They shed light to the following themes: loneliness, escapism, relationships, and the discrepancy between the reality and our imaginary world. It highlights the meaning of kpop. To many fans, kpop means so much more than just cool dances and catchy songs. It also means, being able to connect to someone we look up to and building a relationship with these people. Feeling part of a small community (the kpop group and the fandom). This strong connection is highlighted in the video by how our main character knew the nickname of Haerin (Kitty Kang) and how Hyerin calls the camera girl “Heeseo”. But also the nailpolish on her pinky finger and the armcast. This concept may be very unexpected from a popular rookie group. However, from the perspective of their CEO, the woman behind New Jeans, and HYBE, it makes so much sense. I could see groups like EXO, Red Velvet and BTS doing a concept like this. Simply, because they have been in the industry for many years and have a loyal fanbase. To summarize the message: We all seek comfort in our favorite kpop groups when times get rough. But even so, it is important to live our own lives. These kpop groups are going nowhere. They will always be there for us! But we need to be there for ourselves as well. Live a healthy and happy life! Live well! [part 2 of my theory]. ---------------------- Thank you for reading this far! :) Hopefully, this is something you can relate to as well. If you have some additions, let me know. I am curious to read your theory!
There are theories, that the deer was the cause of the accident that killed all of the members except her (that's why her hand was injured). She still could not move on and still imagining (hallucinating) about them so some of the footage have the member and some did not. The only one who takes care of the girl (and realized she was struggling) was the boy, so walking away with the boy meant that she decided to move on, and the deer leaving meant she was healing. And the scene at the end, even tho she has moved on, all of the memories she has of the girls are still precious and real
From my understanding the video follows someone who feels quite alone in her real world (Heesoo) and tries to escape this feeling of loneliness through imagining people she idolises or wants to be like (New Jeans). She imagines that she is one of them and can joke around and have fun and not feel so lonely; kind of like what fans may do with idols, immersing yourself in music or the idea of being close with people you admire is like an escape from any difficulties you may experience in real life. However, with the case in the video it’s gone a bit too far and it’s interfering with her real world and she’s lost touch with the real world, which is where the boy comes in. He’s her connection back to the real world and slowly starts to pull her out of this fantasy she’s created in her head. When she sees the deer, which represent intuition and self awareness, so when she dreams of the deer and wakes up alone it’s like she’s starting to pull herself out of the fantasy. When she drops the camcorder, that’s her letting go of the fantasy and allowing herself to be part of the real world again, however, what she felt in those fantasies was real to her and brought her real joy so when she’s older she looks back fondly on those ‘false memories’ that helped her when she felt down.
There are two theories for now. The first one is that it's showing the interaction between fans (called Ban Heesoo and if you pronounce it fast it sounds like Bunnies, the name of the fandom); even when the girls are not there when you are a fan you listen to their music, you know about them, you feel their company even when they're not there with you physically, then she let go the camcorder (the way she has for connecting with NewJeans) to be able to live her own life and finally be with that guy he likes... but at the last part you can see Heesoo being able to look at NewJeans and feel like they're still there even when time passed, the memories are still there, the music is still there, and the girls haven't aged but she has... The second one it's about 6 girls who were part of a fatal accident and Heesoo was the only one to survive so she keep feeling that her friends are there with her, she can't let them go easily, she's struggling with that fatal accident, so when she finally is able to go through the pain, she starts doing her life and meets the man she likes. After, when she is an adult, she is able to see those recordings (memories) without feeling the pain and feeling happy, remembering the girls with a better feeling... The second one is actually sadder but it's only a theory, for what I've seen about the girls talking a bit about the MVs and the Heejin-PD, it's about fandom and group relationship, it's less sad and it's the one I think is what they really wanted to give as a message... Amazing production and amazing song in general, but the MVs feel like movies and it's unique, I loved it!
why they walk together in the end? because true simple real love beats anything. it's good to have idols, dreams and aspirations, but in the end we live a simple life and what's most important is what is in front of us. the deer i think means the intangible here, the innocence of a first feeling of life and fondness (being it real or just an idol stanning type of likeness) at first and then it signifies the end of that , when the feeling and adoration become real and most important, when it's answered from someone else , not an imaginary shared love, but a real one. it's perfect. it's NewJeansWorldOrder.
You should also check out the 'Ban Heesoo' TH-cam channel where the sixth character in the MV post her videos with her cam-corder. It really give me goosebump!!
So... Ban Heesoo, the character, has a youtube account where she's posting her videos th-cam.com/video/ryNPGZuIlH8/w-d-xo.html She's posted one a day since the 28th of December... and they're all dated the same day but in 1998. So today's was 19981231, so it's safe to say that the main events of the video are happening in 1998. I think that would mean that the girls coming in when Heesoo is an adult at the end of this video means they HAVE to be a memory, because they appear exactly as they did in her videos from 1998. They seem to be her shooting different versions of the choreo as the girls are making it up, plus b-roll for the music video, which seems like she is the one who filmed it? This is such a cool way to build lore, it really contributes to that reality blurring effect!
7:39 In the umbrella scene, you can see New Jeans missing in the back shot. If they were real they should have been filmed in camera positions. Also in the parking lot scene, she turns around and goes when she realizes they are not real.
Deer usually represent death, or you see them just before death / comfort you in death. I interpreted it as either the physical death of them or the death of what could’ve been or what was. And when she’s seen walking off with the boy that basically one of them had to die. Either her longing for the love or friendship one had to go because of the other. I also can’t help but view things through the lens of an orbit / the loonaverse. Side A had the cat & immediately made me think loona & loona 1/3 vibes and then when I saw the deer I thought of vivi and being the different or outlier of the group. Also shown by her uniform being a different shade then the girls. The throwback vibes and camcorder give me Vivi & 1/3rd vibes in general & then the text off the phone. Aah I just love art! Made my brain go wild in the best way!
Her friends died in a bus accident due to a deer and she’s the only survivor among group of friends hence the hand injury. She couldn’t accept reality and she’s drowning the guy saved her, destroyed the camera but kept the tape.
4:25 when that music started it reminded me so much of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life era. It made me feel so sad but at the same time happy. Actually, I've never liked girl groups in kpop before. Not bc I didn't want to, but bc their music wasn't my style. I guess New Jeans is different. I like all their songs so far. And although I don't know everything about them yet, I like them. Great reaction, it made me see things in another way.
someone commented this on the reaction to the first one but i kind of feel like it makes sense. i feel like it has both a metaphorical meaning of the girl representing fans wanting to be close to newjeans and whatnot, and the explanation that i think makes the most sense for what “actually happens” is that she actually was friends with the girls but they all died in an accident or something and she is reminiscing on her friendship but keeps imagining that they are still there.
Ditto, in a way, embodied what I felt - or remembered - while watching Attention and Hype Boy. When I first saw those 2 videos, I felt like I went back to my childhood and teen years. Watching shows about the power and strength of friendship with a group of girls that have lots of fun together. Winx Club, H20 Just Add Water, stuff like that. Watching them playing around together reminded me of the times I used to watch girls like them having fun and wishing I had something like that in my life, wishing that I could be a part of what they have. And this was my first impression of the video. She just watches them behind a screen and wants so badly to be with them, but that's not the reality of things (she realizes that during the street dance bit). The second thing I thought was that this is very similar to something I've also experienced and I'm sure many others did too: being lonely and having something/someone, be it fictional characters, idols, bands, even youtubers, to make you feel like you're not as alone as you think. The girls were a part of her youth, but she realized they weren't real and that she had to live her life, so she distanced herself from them. However, by watching old videos, she noticed they'd always be there for her, even if only as a tender memory.
Please upload a follow up video after marinating on your thoughts of the videos. Maybe even looking into other people's theories also please! It would be interesting to hear your formulated theories after you've had time to analyze them more so! Thanks for the content!
I love how it’s so open to interpretation. For me, I take it as it being about loss and grief. I think they were friends, they’ve gone (either figuratively, as they have grown apart as teens do, or literally, as I think there’s hints at death), Heeseo is grieving and imaging/wishing her friends were still with her, but she has overcome her grief with her new friend/bf and moved on, and she has the warm memories of her youth and her old friends and that will give her comfort.
All my little brain can understand is that she grow up and relive those memories together with that group of people who made her live a fantasy that avoided reality.
One key aspect to understanding the video is the aspect ratio 16:9 is heeseo's imagination 4:3 is the film camera's perspective and 18:9 is the reality
My representation of this is: Heesoo is fangirling, but she also has a crush on someone. Now, for the deer part, I think it symbolizes her youth; at the beginning, the deer stares at her, which basically means she's in her teens or early 20s. then, in the later part, she becomes more mature, stops fangirling; that's why the deer left. now for me, the casts on her left arm represents that she's hurt because she left and start to let go of being a fan for newjeans and starts her new and real life with the guy. then the last part that connects to the first part where she starts rewatching or reminiscing her old memories with new jeans, she was alone, maybe because the guy left or died. then she starts accepting new jeans again in her life, even though she's more of an older and mature woman now
The first theories were so heartbreaking which was that the friends died in an accident that caused her broken arm and she can’t let go of them. Then the theories that seemed to stick the most are about the girls representing kpop idols watching them through videos only and withdrawing from the real people around you and having to give them up to pursue real relationships like her walking home with the guy
the mv from what a lot of sources and my own take on it is about her healing process. The reason being it keeps flashing in and out of new jeans being their and them not being their isn’t fantasy it’s about new jeans being alive and dead. The deer symbolsizes death or a car crash. So she goes back to all the places she made memories with her friends and records the blank scenes and in the bed destroys the camera and puts an end to her grief. The guy in the video knew about the accident and is the only one who checked to see if she was ok. And at the end she’s much older and able to be at peace with the tragedy and reminisce in the memories she once had.
I believe the deer represents her imaginary world. In her imaginary world she is close friends with New Jeans. While the girls dance, she films them. She created this world, when she first stumbled upon the video tapes in the club room. I believe the girls used to go to her school and used that room as their club room (New Jeans and the real camera girl are her sunbae-nims/senpais). On the other hand, we have the reality. Who else could be the perfect representation of the reality other than the people we find interesting. So, I believe the handsome boy (her potential love interest/friend) represents the reality. Only when he is in frame, only when she notices him looking at her, she realizes that New Jeans isn’t real. You’ll see her immediately shift the camera towards someone/something else as soon as he looks at her. Throughout side A, she pretty much tried to deny the reality. A world in which she feels lonely. At the start of side B, she starts feeling conflicted. As the guy walks up on the balcony with his friends, he notices her sitting in the garden [8:40]. She, too, realizes his presence. Immediately she starts running away from both New Jeans (the imaginary world) as well as the boy (the reality). However, in the next scene you will see her standing on a different balcony surrounded by people [8:53]. As the boy walks towards the building, she picks up her camera and starts filming him. This is the first small step she takes to face the reality. In the following scene, you will see her drop her camera from the rooftop [10:44]. The camera breaks into pieces. At this point she is closing the bridge to her imaginary world. During the stare of with the deer, she has tears in her eyes as the deer walks away [11:32]. This is the final goodbye. Here, she leaves behind her imaginary world for good. Therefore, saying goodbye to New Jeans as well. In the final scene you see her walking with the boy [11:39]. This is when she embraces reality, living her actual life. [part 1 of my theory] ---------------------- Thank you for reading this far! :) Hopefully, this is something you can relate to as well. If you have some additions, let me know. I am curious to read your theory!
You got it! So ditto (ha!) to the response I left in your side A reaction. Now in this entire side B version, Heesoo is coming into terms of choosing to let go of NewJeans to be with the boy. The parking lot scene is Heesoo taking her last look at NewJeans and distancing herself from them. NewJeans is saddened at Heesoo's decision to let them go as you see her explaining to them why, then walking away into the rain. Again the deer (no longer the friendly cat), representing NewJeans, walks away after Heesoo drops the camera. The phone ringing is NewJeans' attempt to "call" her back. This is referenced in the follow up MV, OMG, with Hanni pleading for Heesoo to answer her call. The scene at the end is Heesoo in the future reminiscing and bringing them back into imagined existence. Perhaps, at that point, she has left the boy and reverted back to her imagination, along with the message from NewJeans saying that they will always be there for Ban Heesoo (Bunnies-oo = fandom = you), as you have so eloquently stated, "as long as she believes". By the way, NewJeans revealed that the "glow", you noticed through the window, was artificial. But, we all see what we want to see. 😉
Ban Heesoo "Bunnies" is NewJeans' fan (Also when she looked for the tape in the box, there's a bunny doll). Ditto portrays relationship between idols and their fans. Heesoo is the sixth member (Hence '6'), a part of NewJeans. People around her don't see the close relationship she has with the band, and so it's as if she's hanging out with imaginary friends. Heesoo eventually gets distracted by the boy (symbolizing 'real life') and she slowly let go of NewJeans and left them behind in memories. However, they came back when Heesoo reminisces about the good old days. It's a clever and meaningful approach that tells a bittersweet story between idols and their fans. It's just so fascinating that they came up with a nostalgic narrative that represents the way things are in idols/stans world.
i have nothing to add to the theories tbh and the car crash one as much as it makes sense really doesn't have anything to indicate a car crash happened besides a deer.. which could also represent a whole bunch of other things so i'm torn. either way, all theories are sad as hell like i have no ideia how they're going to perform this with that upbeat choreography without conflicting with the dark meaning behind the music video for it
The deer means something significant because on Side B, you actuaally see the deer walk away after looking at Heesoo. On Side A, the deer just stayed there. For me, I think they were Heesoo's friends, but something happened to where the girls are no longer alive. Heesoo's just having memories of the girls, but acting it out as if the girls are still alive with the camera. The guy seems concerned for her from what he notices.. In the end, he helps her cope with missing the girls and that's why she lets go of the camera and walks away with him. Now as she's older, she's just viewing the tape with her memories of her friends. That's my theory.
In Part A, she always carried the camcoder around and recorded every moment with new jeans, the context is thats how fans get to watch their idols, thru screens. Either TV screen or phone screen. Hence why New Jeans weren't in the cut scene of every final footages. Its because they wasn't there but thru the camera / screen, Heesoo felt like they were there with her. Also the animal, the meaning behind of it was "youth" / teenage phase. She was looking right to its eyes as she dont want it to go. We all know most of the hordcore KPOP fans are mostly in their teenage phase. Its a symbolic of an obsession towards the idol group. Side B, my understanding is Heesoo obsession started to fade away. Hence why they started to show all the cutscene where NJ were not there. Also she started to approach the guy that she likes as she's getting mature now, she's already know what she wants in real life instead of her old obsession. In the final moment of the music part, we can see the animal metaphors again, but this time it went away, meaning she's now letting go all that "youth" phase or her NJ obession. And the final scene where she started to dig up her old film shows that no matter what happened, NJ will always there. Idols will always be there, we can see them thru the screens again, TV, phone screens and etc. And when NJ came into the room, i take it as she started to fell in love with NJ again or it can be a new set of younger fans of NJ who just get to know them. And the cycle goes on as well for them from Part A to Part B.
Such an art huh, some can theorize about the tragic life of a girl thats no longer with her friends, and finally moved on with the deer scene, they want her to be happy. Other interpretation can also about them and the fans, how even when she got older, she can still find comfort in their videos, they really did a great job highlighting the nostalgia feeling with these MVs.
I love both side A and B but I really love side B because with the context you gain from side A, it all feels so LIMINAL, which is a really rare vibe in k-pop videos imo. it’s a little unsettling, but also familiar and nostalgic-empty and abandoned places that were once full of life and good times. god I can’t wait to see what else they do, it fills this void in kpop I’ve been feeling for a while, a void where music videos approach the themes of their music in such a cinematic way. it’s not lore for the sake of lore, it’s meaningful and intentional and unlocks a new level of depth, and they are a freakin rookie group !!! we stan newjeans Edit: like even attention and all the hype boy videos, which appear at first glance to just be a whole lot of colorful fun, have a cinematic feel with the thoughtful attention to detail and the narrative connections between each version of hype boy
the NewJeans girls in this story is real, or rather 'was' real. The 6 of them got into an accident, killing the 5 girls, leaving Heesoo the sole survivor. Heesoo, the protagonist, used to film them dancing and having fun in school. You can tell by the old tape she watched in the end that they really did exist and these girls really did hang out a lot in the past as she caught it on film, therefore it's not all in her head. Her hallucinations, however, started post-accident. This is what the bandage on her arm implies when she's filming nothing. As a coping mechanism, she still films what she thinks are her friends and being just the way they were. The nail polish in the end of Side A is real, but not painted by her friend but rather herself. They used to paint on each other's pinky finger when she was alive, now she does it on her own. The girls drawing/writing on her cast tells me that she thinks they survived with her, and that she is the only one with minor injuries. In side B she finally realizes it never happened. Again, hallucinations. The girls dancing in the open court(?)/parking lot(?) are not NewJeans, she just remembers them when she sees 5 girls dancing. The deer symbolizes the cause of the accident. It hunts her everywhere, helping her remember what happened. She let go of the camera, letting go of her friends along with it. Her walking home with the guy tells me that he helped her move on. When she did, the deer finally disappears. (just my own first impression theory. this is an open-ended story and it's based on the viewers how they write their own stories)
actually its not that tragic at all, its just about idols and fans, and growing up-maturing and forgetting these idols. the guy at the end symbilizes her entering a new chapter and the deer is like her youth
Pls react to: -fifty fifty: higher, lovin me, log in (you can do this in one video) -Limelight: Starlight, eye to eye (you can do this in one video too, mashiro and yeseo will probably join to this group after kep1er disband) -mimiirose: lululu This songs and MVs are really good and underrated and i know you will be suprised how good they are and you will enjoy them
heesoo represent fans...NJ represent idol.... its a story of relationship between idol and fans... its reminded me of my younger self on how become a Buddy..at that time its true that my life and focus is Gfriend and i dont really interact much with people around me....but it doesnt mean my life is lonely but its just different....the scene when Heesoo drop the camera is represent how a fan hit by reality of adulthood... we need to face reality and move forward with life since we got busy to build career....the deer in the video represent amidst all that...Gfiend always there and think about buddy eventhough they knew we got busy with life...the scene where Heesoo replay the tape symbolized how fans life got stable and have time to become fan again eventho by that time our idol no longer active.... the scene where NJ come in thru the door represent sooner or later we believe they will come back and greet us...at that time we will have so much thing talk... To all fans that have disbanded idol... hope 1 day we all can be reunited.
Ok, so my read after the two versions was: Heeseo was a girl who was friends with the 5 New Jeans girls. She filmed a lot of their stuff. At a later date, the protagonist (The girl with the broken arm), finds the camera at her home or in a club room left over from Heeseo years before. somewhere and watches it. She is lonely and wants to feel like part of the group as Heeseo did, and so takes the video camera around, echoing the original girl while playing their performances on her handycam. However as she starts to see the real boy and fall for him, she starts to realize she doesn't want to be in this past fantasy realm, but a part of the real world. Falling for the guy means she wants to return to the "real" world and stop living in the fantasy. So she destroys the camera, and she and the boy become friends/a couple. Years later she finds a VHS copy and remembers that time when she was living in the fantasy, and how she pretended to be a part of their group. I might be wrong, but that was how i put it together. Its a beautiful short film/MV.
ok so th-cam.com/video/OsevoddnzQ8/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=BanHeesoo is a channel thats apparently uploads by Heeseo, the one who filmed the videos (Which are dated to 1998?). I dont know if it's making things more or less confusing. Make sure to read the video descriptions! Also Ban Heeseo sounds like Bunnies (NJ Fandom) when said out loud.
maybe there's simpler explanation to this mv. it explained the life of a fans. when they were young they became obsessed with their fav group. sitting in class full of people but the mind lost in the fantasy world they build around their fav group until they fell in love and stop obsessing. when they grew older they reminiscing the time when they used to be fans of a certain group and revisiting that memory
I believe the female protagonist could be a representation of a 'fan'. And how an artist wouldn't exist without fans, but then again... the fans wouldn't exist without the artist. It could show the close relationships between fans/artists and how one would be lost without the other. The romantic storyline could be an obstacle in the protagonists life, one that they manage to get through with their support and following of NewJeans. The fan grows with the artist, and reflect on their growth and memories created together.
I listened to the comments and went to the Ban Heesoo channel and ya’ll…. The school is ABANDONED. ITS COMPLETELY EMPTY. The first video on the channel shows a literally abandoned old school and you can tell by the weird stairs it’s the same place. Now I’m even more confused. Did she imagine literally everyone else too? Especially because the videos are dated chronologically so on one day it’s abandoned and empty but the next day she’s filming the NJ girls riding bikes? I’m so confused now hahaha
I thought it was about survivors guilt. The theory that I've seen and what makes sense to me is that the girls did exist and we're friends but died in an accident involving a deer....and that's where she got the cast. Like she did take videos of them and they were friends but shes having a hard time letting go after the accident
I might end up in the same situation because I'm becoming too obsessed with New Jeans. I just hope I don't lose myself, and i should also know the limits of being a fan. To the fact that they're not just the only ones who make your world go round. Well, honestly you would rather be with them 24 hours, feel their existence, wanna be part of them, being friends with them. Like, you have found your home, your comfort zone and happiness, like being with them, you'll be happy forever. Lol. I'm a Blackpink stan now i'm into New Jeans. What r u girls doin' to me? 🤣❤
I think the producers intented to make the mv having 2 intepretation. The one the producers hinted out clearly is "idols and fan", and i also think this can be count amd a lot of people believe that this is the only intepretation; but i have watch new jeans reacted to this mv and base on reaction, i think that can be count as a metaphor but not the real story. So i lean to the second intepretation, that is "survivor guilt". First of all, i dont think heesoo having a broken arm is coincidence, there must be some story to it. At the scene where she woke up, seeing her nail being paint but not her cast, make me believe that some of the memories were real and some werent. The recordings i think it's all real, it just that she didnt recording nothing, she just replayed their old record at the same place they had record before to pretent that she's recording. Only when she found the love of her life that she chose to move on.
My first interpretation of this was of a shy lonely girl who didn't have a lot of friends, imagining these girls are by her side when she was feeling alone or sad. Deer are usually considered pretty shy and skittish and you see the girl getting shy and running off when the guy looks at her but eventually overcoming that to talk with the boy later. I also like the interpretation that the girls were real but maybe had an accident and only she survived with just a broken arm. She struggles to overcome her grief continuing to film and pretending they are still with her but eventually moves on. Maybe she drops the camera and walks home in the rain etc. in different stages of grief. Then you seeing her walk away from the girls that are no longer there, showing she's moving on. This would explain the girls being in some of the footage but not in other scenes. You can also see a change in seasons as well. I would have to re-watch to see but I know the girls in the footage at the end of side A were wearing winter clothes but all scenes that are shown as not there it is possibly spring or summer, warm enough to walk in the rain.
for me , Newjeans is best girlgroup for gen4. They are very unique, fresh and break the streotype of girlgroup nowdays. They have their own color and aura.. they are so refreshing.
Your theory makes a lot of sense. 10:33 you can see her go up the stairs where they meet to dance. But she didn't have the courage to join them. Instead she went to a different part of the building and threw her camera away.
If someone made a movie about my childhood, it would be Ditto. Ditto is about para-social relationships we have with our idols, especially if we are introverted and experiencing hardships (represented by the broken arm). Great job ❤
its basically saying that we, fans needs to make sure that we live our real lives and don't miss out on real life because of kpop. You can see that kpop will still be there but ur life wont wait for you.
new thought came up after watching this with you is that, NewJeans are still young, like Highschool at the end while she is now an adult. I am still confused that does that imply, but so many thoughts you can make every single time you watch the video. lol
I hope you check out and react to Luminous as well, they're such a good n talented group of 4 people!! Their title tracks are 'Run', 'All eyes down' and 'Engine', they do deserve a little more recognition, they debuted in 2021! And even though the MVs are definitely great their live performances are even better!!
PD, the friends were real and she use to always film them, but they got into an accident together and Heesu is the only one who survived, hence the cast. And the next few weeks or months following the accident, she continued to live her life like she use to when her friends were alive, as she is in denial and disbelief that she is all alone now. The guy is her crush who often notices how weird she is acting now. So many of the footages she shot with her cam of her friends were real, back when they were alive. But as she continued her habits after their deaths, she was shooting no one and getting weird stares. In side B, her crush;es frequent stares often brings her back to reality. She slowly accepts that her friends just arent there anymore, as we she went to the place her friends often practiced dances at, but she doesnt go to them, the friends are stuck in time, forever dancing, as theyre dead. She drops her camera, the camera she always used to film her friends, the strongest connection she has left of them, she gives it up, leaves it and her past behind and walks with the guy, who actually exists, symbolizing her mentally returning to reality. The deer should be the cause of the accident that killed her friends and injured her. Thats why she keeps hallucinating seeing the deer, with so much sorrow in her eyes when she looks at it, thinking of what could have been if it and them werent there at such a unfortunate time. This is my theory and it fits the MV very nicely i feel.
the girl filming them practicing and having fun is pretty much their fan, a single personification of their fans. when she’s filming nj, I got the feeling that this was her life being committed to them and probably relying on them as a group for comfort. but, when her view starts straying to notice that boy staring at her, it seemed like she was starting to want to focus on living her own life instead of just being their fan. not just a crush, but I think heesoo walking away with him at the end is a way of saying that she decided to live her life without them. that part u mentioned abt nj being there before, during and after heesoo was filming them seems like a way for them to say it’s fine if you want to go and live ur life even without them, bc they’ll always be there whenever u want to go back to them. and she does, she relives those memories with those tapes when she’s older. nj coming into her older self’s room is an assurance that yeah, if you want them, they’ll be there with u :) really cute and sad but it’s so satisfying to watch and listen to
Hey PD : I think this represents deciding to stay an adolescent with those things that give comfort, hence imaginary friends. She has been going through something and hides behind her camera, as a shield. The guy is someone who likes her, as she is, after an encounter where she is avoiding him and taking a step to grow up, while deciding if she is strong enough to move on. without her imaginary friends. For me the deer is representative of her innocence and saying goodbye to immature things. But as an older person, she once again yearns a safe place and looks back to bring her innocents back, during a difficult time. Of course, the Tokki’s are just repping fans. Very similar to the last comment. It is beautifully simple, refreshing for their ages, hip but deep.
heesoo is i think an aspiring director according to the writings on the cast (director ban heesoo), my theory is that all six of them are friends and got into an accident and only heesoo survived (her cast still healing) which made her guilty, she kept recording places imagining they were still there with her. she then keeps seeing a deer which according to google represents inner peace/self-awareness, she might've accepted that her friends are not coming back anymore and she's willing to let go now that's why she let go of the camcorder that contained memories of them. in the end she also accepted and opened herself to the guy she likes.
i think this is actually supposed to be set in modern day with the camera as a stand in for a smartphone. when she's in school "filming" other people, she's actually on her phone watching a bunch of kpop videos.
New jeans girls was in the videos but not in the real life . Something happened maybe an accident and the only survivor is heeso which explain the cast on her hand
It’s interesting, it really feels like the message to fans to say “we’ll always be together, but please still have a real life, don’t miss out because of us”
love that still, they still cheer for us to have a good life on our own.
that's so true, this group is ironically one of the few groups that I stan...i appreciate their message a lot and i feel like it's a really big one to address in this swipe-swipe-swipe world we're consuming. :)
well said.
💛
Also if you research the different meanings of seeing deers especially dreams the imagery seems to connect.
I believe Ador said the video was about the relationship between fans and idols. Which makes sense. They are real but mostly only sees them through the camera...like we only see them on a screen. And then she breaks her camera to let go of that relationship with her idols to make way for a real relationship.
woah
Source?
Holy sh** that makes so much more sense! Especially because the New Jeans fans are called bunnies and the bunny is in the box! I knew that bunny had some inner hidden meaning!
Ok but what about the guy🤕is he just a crush or what?what's up with that deer?
After many years passes by, NewJeans was still there & they never leave her before.....hope it make sence. cheer PD!!
If it was imaginary then she wouldn’t have real footage of them in school…
ooohhh!! that makes so much sense! I was so confused why she was never in front of the camera and always filming newjeans
@@JoaoPedro-jo3uj but they are saying her name…and apologising to her.
The story telling is just so surreal and dreamy, slightly melancholy, like something you cherish badly yet so easy to fade away. Youth, unspoken first love, friendship of invisible imagined maidens... One will never forget those hurtful things that has been generated from the old days.
it feels so instantly nostalgic of a time and place i've never been to before
I had put this in the side a reaction also but i feel like adding it here also will make more people aware about the story this mv tells.
This is how people fall into the rabbit hole and become fans. Their video worked in making you become their fan I see
Tbh this honestly makes more sense to me than some other theories.
The car accident theory is so dumb… I’m pretty sure the director and writer wouldn’t go for such an empty and meaningless idea

I hope......)
Then as time went by, adulting happened and responsibilities came.
PD OMG IS OUT! I hope you cover that real sooon
Desperately waiting for you to do omg!!!! Please !!!

In 1979, college student Yoon So-Eun (Kim Ha-Neul) begins talking to another student via her ham radio.
In the scenes where newjeans disappeared on the tapes, maybe the magic which made it possible for them to communicate was gone which is why she broke the camera and moved on with her life (her moving on was shown when she was walking with the guy)
And maybe the reason why newjeans are seen in the clips when she watched the tapes in the present time in contrary to what was shown in previous scenes is because in the present time, newjeans already exist while in the past they are not yet born/ they are still babies.
I like this theory
3:24 this is my favourite shot in both MVs. Its hauntingly melancholic
rlllyyy love the storyline of ditto's MVs nd how diff theories & interpretations can be made from it. whether it be the accident theory (the girls are dead, hee soo is the only one to survive and thus has to cope w her grief nd survivors guilt, being hunted by memories until she finally breaks free) or the interpretation of how the MVs show the relationship between fans and idols and the importance of taking a step back and focusing on the real world.
deer sightings can mean that the person may be detached from reality and has to focus on their present. ties nicely into both theories
I also love that Heesoo has now her own TH-cam channel
U GOTTA REACT TO OMG I CANT WAIT TO SEE YOUR REACTION THE MV IS SO INTERESTING
i love that you covered this. it always gives me a newfound appreciation for well-filmed MVs when you describe the details you notice and your thoughts on them, because there’s always something i would have never noticed.
The parking lot scene and the leaving the girl scene represents that she’s no longer interacting with her delusion.
It really doesn’t make a lot of sense the idol fan thingy and tbh, kpop fans will hate me for saying this, but it’s such a cheesy and sort of cringe concept for a first comeback, also Shin wooseok (who literally does not do mv’s typically) wouldn’t sign on if it was this one sided shallow mv😅 also who the hell depicts a fan as someone who broke their arm and wants to jump off a building and runs in the rain and films air, it’s just not a very relatable character for a typical fan. it’s also so typical of MHJ to have multiple explanations in her concepts and the worst thing is SHE NEVER EXPLAINS THEM urg, she’s been doing this ever since she was in SM lol
this sounds very correct to me. Also they keep saying "Hee Soo" but i dont think there is a member named hee soo. So its the photographer girl.

Although there was a scene where Hanni (a member in newjeans) has the same uniform as her but then other times, she has the same uniform as newjeans
(I can’t explain this theory too well since I haven’t watched the movie)
This theory fits OMG
Newjeans won me over with Ditto Side B
Can't wait for you to react to OMG!
----------------------
Thank you for reading this far!
When she drops the camcorder, that’s her letting go of the fantasy and allowing herself to be part of the real world again, however, what she felt in those fantasies was real to her and brought her real joy so when she’s older she looks back fondly on those ‘false memories’ that helped her when she felt down.
excited for you to react to their new song that just came out!
PD never looked more baffled lol. Happy New Year PD. Thanks for the past years. 감사합니다 :)
Oh u're gonna go batshit insane with OMG ndjsjsjw
why they walk together in the end? because true simple real love beats anything. it's good to have idols, dreams and aspirations, but in the end we live a simple life and what's most important is what is in front of us. the deer i think means the intangible here, the innocence of a first feeling of life and fondness (being it real or just an idol stanning type of likeness) at first and then it signifies the end of that , when the feeling and adoration become real and most important, when it's answered from someone else , not an imaginary shared love, but a real one. it's perfect. it's NewJeansWorldOrder.
You should also check out the 'Ban Heesoo' TH-cam channel where the sixth character in the MV post her videos with her cam-corder. It really give me goosebump!!
the writing & direction paired with the music is just S teir. it doesnt get any better than this. this is the bar for what a perfect mv is.
Also in the parking lot scene, she turns around and goes when she realizes they are not real.
respectfully asking and low-key demanding for HALAZIA next or at least very soon if possible 🥺
Finally 👍💜 Thank you PD. Have a great New Year 2023.
My representation of this is:
Heesoo is fangirling, but she also has a crush on someone.
[part 1 of my theory]
----------------------
Thank you for reading this far!
I'm just waiting for you to upload the OMG reaction video.
I love both side A and B but I really love side B because with the context you gain from side A, it all feels so LIMINAL, which is a really rare vibe in k-pop videos imo. it’s a little unsettling, but also familiar and nostalgic-empty and abandoned places that were once full of life and good times. god I can’t wait to see what else they do, it fills this void in kpop I’ve been feeling for a while, a void where music videos approach the themes of their music in such a cinematic way. it’s not lore for the sake of lore, it’s meaningful and intentional and unlocks a new level of depth, and they are a freakin rookie group !!! we stan newjeans
Edit: like even attention and all the hype boy videos, which appear at first glance to just be a whole lot of colorful fun, have a cinematic feel with the thoughtful attention to detail and the narrative connections between each version of hype boy
the NewJeans girls in this story is real, or rather 'was' real.
Pls react to:

heesoo represent fans...NJ represent idol.... its a story of relationship between idol and fans... its reminded me of my younger self on how become a Buddy..at that time its true that my life and focus is Gfriend and i dont really interact much with people around me....but it doesnt mean my life is lonely but its just different....the scene when Heesoo drop the camera is represent how a fan hit by reality of adulthood... we need to face reality and move forward with life since we got busy to build career....the deer in the video represent amidst all that...Gfiend always there and think about buddy eventhough they knew we got busy with life...the scene where Heesoo replay the tape symbolized how fans life got stable and have time to become fan again eventho by that time our idol no longer active.... the scene where NJ come in thru the door represent sooner or later we believe they will come back and greet us...at that time we will have so much thing talk... To all fans that have disbanded idol... hope 1 day we all can be reunited.
OMG next PD pleaseee 🥺
"is there a side C" exactly XD
Also Ban Heeseo sounds like Bunnies (NJ Fandom) when said out loud.
waitttt ur theory makes senseeeee
maybe there's simpler explanation to this mv. it explained the life of a fans. when they were young they became obsessed with their fav group. sitting in class full of people but the mind lost in the fantasy world they build around their fav group until they fell in love and stop obsessing. when they grew older they reminiscing the time when they used to be fans of a certain group and revisiting that memory
Old fans can forget their idols, but they can always be with us when they reminisce.
That's what old fans are. 😀
HA! AFTER WATCHING YOUR REACTION I REALIZED THAT HEESOO IS THE ACTRESS FROM "ALL OF US ARE DEAD"!! Proud of myself for noticing on my own, lol
Thank you! Now I'm better at understanding it
I want to watch the reaction of ATEEZ's latest MV and their the newest album listening party plz
I was looking on Google and found an article that says sometimes deers represent friendship in different Asian cultures, including Korean
Dude… that gave me shivers 😳 what the heck are we as viewers looking at
I thought it was about survivors guilt.
I am still confused that does that imply, but so many thoughts you can make every single time you watch the video. lol
Cignature is coming back with AURORA on 17th Jan, please don't miss it!!
Your theory is exactly like mine! I commented on your other video
Side b if my fave version BUT side A rain sound moment is my favourite part in the cinematography
the girl filming them practicing and having fun is pretty much their fan, a single personification of their fans. when she’s filming nj, I got the feeling that this was her life being committed to them and probably relying on them as a group for comfort. but, when her view starts straying to notice that boy staring at her, it seemed like she was starting to want to focus on living her own life instead of just being their fan. not just a crush, but I think heesoo walking away with him at the end is a way of saying that she decided to live her life without them. that part u mentioned abt nj being there before, during and after heesoo was filming them seems like a way for them to say it’s fine if you want to go and live ur life even without them, bc they’ll always be there whenever u want to go back to them. and she does, she relives those memories with those tapes when she’s older. nj coming into her older self’s room is an assurance that yeah, if you want them, they’ll be there with u :) really cute and sad but it’s so satisfying to watch and listen to
This ditto side B ..i cried while watching and listening ..👍
