Living in America it is hard to find an Erhu teacher So I have watched many how to play the Erhu Videos. Ling Peng is one I used a lot. th-cam.com/channels/Ijm1qsSroe01p3wWwarYuw.html and Eason Music has an online course.
Hi, Eason Music is a good place to buy an Erhu. I purchased mine from them a couple years ago. I purchased a low grade professional aged Rosewood Erhu . I talked with them via email prier to purchasing and they were very helpful on my decision. Depending on your finances the aged wood is great. www.easonmusicstore.com/collections/erhu-instrument
(professional) violinist here. It will be ofcource much easier for you to start playing it then people that never played a string instrument. Can't even compare lol. But no jokes, i spend 2 weeks practicing only empty strings for 2 hours every day. The bowing technique is a bit different and the changing strings is more difficult then on violin. Left hand is no problem ofcource, just need to learn where to place the fingers, but as a violinist that comes fast.. But for bowing, yeah no don't underestimate it, unless you want to sound like shit but i guess us musicians always will look for the nice smooth sound.
@BananaArt I purchased my Erhu from www.easonmusicstore.com/collections/erhu-instrument . they also have a class for playing the Erhu. Also, Patty Chan does a great lesson series th-cam.com/video/4A8pNplHHww/w-d-xo.html
Wow! You sound great! I just got mine a week ago. In the process of rosining my bow

Thank you so much. it has a learning experience.
Did you have problems tuning the Erhu? I tried tuning the A string and broke it, had to replace it and that was hard. 😁
Yes, at first it was difficult, and I broke a couple sets of strings, but over time it became easier to tune. I use a Erhu tuner app on my phone.
@@Erhuamericanstyle what is that application? And thank you I am glad I’m not the only one.😁

You know, I've played the violin for years. I bet I can play the erhu with no problem.

@@kanashihana Violin too hard for me - But I'm hoping (naively?) that may get on better with erhu, with only two strings to think about?
I really wanna learn erhu but I’m uncertain where to buy and learn
