From your feature access code of 9 or 8 or whatever you have for accessing the ARS tables. Perform a "display feature" command and you will see the different codes to access all the features on your system.
Good Video, I have a quick question about routing calls from Avaya CM from a H.323 Phone to a SIP phone on Avaya session manger. I can call from my SIP phone which is connect to the session manger but when I try to call from my H.323 IP phone i'm getting a busy dial tone. Can you please help.
Hi CJ Thanks to "PBX How to" I have a doubt about the route pattern number, instead of route pattern number some time there is the specification like p10 like what will be states that. is there any time of day chart able to specify in the route pattern?
I have as first and second preference at route-pattern 2 SIP trunks. As third preference a PRI trunk. What happens is when I lose SIP connection (external provider) the system is not bypassing the SIP trunks and do not send the call to the third option (PRI). Any idea?
Hi PBXHowTos, Thanks for you videos, It is very helpful for us. I am a biginer in AVAYA and I would like to learn more from you. Is there any learning course from you.
Hello CJ, I have a question. How do I program an extension so that when it calls out, it displays the main number of it's department? We have internal extensions that are seven digits, but can't be called directly from outside the system. We want the number that is displayed to be a number the called person can return the call. This number would be different for all the different departments. How is that done? Thank you. We are using Avaya Aura R6
Hi there im new on this area, but i want to learn, i have to tell you this is great video but at my work we have and issue with our sistem, some new phone companies have numbers that begin with others numbers than the usuals, so we have as aar the number 9 , and if we try to dial de number 5348714 we dial 95348714 but if i do a list trace statation to see what is happening i get " dial 953 route:ARS denial event 1012: Destination Unavailable D1=0x8ba3 D2=0x6b1 dial 953 route:ARS" so if i do list ars route-chosen 953 i get " dialed string: 9 " " total min: 7 max: 7" "route pattern: p1" "call type: locl" route pattern is telling me that we are using a partition routing table instead a route pattern and this is the part that i dont get can you explain this screen because i get a screen with severals columns and i cant tell where is the deny part . sorry for my bad english i hope you can understand me Greetings
I like the videos, except that horrid music at the beginning. What's better than horrid canned music? No music. That's what. You could trim the first 11 seconds and just put a title and it would really pro these up.
Thank you a lot for the helpful info, appreciate if you would share your Email address with me, I have certain cases which I need to take you advised on it
After 12 years this still helping me. Thank you!

Hi CJ - thanks for the info about routing calls.
Can you explain how the partition-route-table fits in this picture ?
Partition route tables gets deep as you need to have Tenant partitioning and time of day routing enabled. I may do a video on it though.
Very good explanation
Thanks for this! but how do you route all outgoing calls of certain extensions to a trunk group?
From your feature access code of 9 or 8 or whatever you have for accessing the ARS tables. Perform a "display feature" command and you will see the different codes to access all the features on your system.

Depends on the Chicken. :-) - They both are equal in terms of importance just depends on what you need to do in terms of voice networking.
you need a prefix of 1 on route pattern 13 or it will not route the call
Are you still actively providing assistance?
PN? Like Port Network?
You are welcome!
how to set up an e1 pri in the avaya g650 plant in telefonia@bcn.gob.ni
