I've just started working with the call routing and technical planning teams in my call center. These videos have helped me understand a great deal in a short time. Thank you very much for taking the time to help educate people like myself.
Once again, great video, thanks! I want to set up an Auto Attendant just like that, with an additional feature. The caller should be able to dial single digits for further steps and a 4-digit extension to be routed to a phone directly (route to digits, etc.). How would I do that?
Your videos are very good at explaining everything. I really appreciate you videos. I would like to setup a test lab as yourself at home and was wondering what all I need to make this happen. Would you mind pointing me in the right direction to do so?
I love the videos, thank you very much for your time and effort! I have a question, I'm building an Auto Attendant and I would like to know if you can 'route-to' a coverage answer group? Basically I need callers to be able to press '3' and reach 2 people. Any suggestions would be awesome! Thanks so much again. :)
Really enjoy the videos! Question: Our vectors collect 1 digit just like you demonstrate. However, if a caller enters four digits e.g. 1234, the vector first processes "1" at the first "collect 1 digits" line, and then "2" at the next "collect 1 digits" line, etc. Avaya calls this "dial ahead" digits. Is there a way to turn this off, or clear out the dial ahead digits buffer? EAS Reference mentions "dial ahead" digits but no way to clear it out. Thanks!
Hi, you may want to put "go to step 8" if we choose 2 i.e. if you want to talk to cool person at step 3. Because with this current programming if I choose 2 I will simply get disconnected since we have "stop" at step 7.
what I'm looking for is help with scheduling the holiday hours I have cov t 223 set for daily use but I need to set up for coming holidays. Do I do this in the cov t 223? I've been over this but it's been a number of years that I've actually done it.
Goto the Avaya Support site and download the documentation library for your version of Phone system and look under the Call Center section. It will have the Vectoring and EAS documents.
hiI am new to Avaya system as system engineer, help me with basic necessity, such as creating new call flows and rectifying daily issues related to contact centre. what basic training should I go through .
Help me out with the route-to digits, if we are collecting 4 digits for dialing an extension. In other words, does the route-to digits go before or after all of the goto step x if digit = 1, 2, etc. Looking for the best option. Does that make sense?
Wow! this was a great video, I am searching the internet on any information that will help me setup an auto attendant that will also allow callers to dial by name and haven't really found anything yet; do you have anything like that? Thanks so much for putting these videos together in such an easy way to grasp. KUDOS
Hi Thomas, No, I haven't found a solution for this and have actually switched gears. It doesn't seem like we will be eliminating our switchboard operator any time soon. People like the fact that a person answers when they call us.Thank you,
I have a problem. Need your help. I have Avaya G450 (1+1). Outside callers cannot listen to announcements. Even when i dial the announcement extension, i hear nothing,. But i hav another announcement and 2ng gateway 002v9. I can listen the announcement when i dial extension. Please help
Yes, I forgot to change the vector step to not go directly to the STOP command. Simply update the step for which you want your callers to goto. Make sense? Sorry about that.
Hey CJ, Great job on the PBXHT videos. I thank you for taking the time to post these, as they are very helpful. I'm looking to create a VDN/Vector that will ring a cover answer group, and then go to auto attendant dial by name and I cant get it to work right.. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Mel
wow this is tricky and i would need to really think about it and not just mull it over over a cup of tea, but you could just create a vector which leads to a coverage answer group which has a coverage path to an auto attendant? this may not be an optimal solution but should work in my opinion.
Hi, you can add steps to check holiday tables and service hour tables, in the holiday table you define holiday days i.e. bank holidays and in the service hour table you can define the business hours
Hi , I have an issue that I am trying to resolve. At our current location, when a customer dials 911, it also notifies facilities and the SOC as well. I found the routing patter and the trunk associated with the pattern for 911. However, I cannot find how the additional notifications are being made. I thought that there may be a vector involved, but I have yet to find it. Any thoughts? Thanks, Charles
hello, need help! how do you change the steps (I mean to add a line or to delete a line ) in middle of the vector after doing a test call giving all the steps.
Question? Im getting this message when im trying to remove this vdn? Extension must be removed from vector(s) before removal. I looked everywhere>>>> Please help..
Hi, We are receiving calls from 4 number every 2 minutes and no one speaks when we answer. Can we block that 4 numbers somehow? I worked in hotel and vector is created so all calls lands to operator. Thanks in advance

Awesome! I love know I helped someone in learning this system. Thanks!
Me too!!
Thank you so much for all of your PBX how to videos. I've used them whenever I needed to reference or confirm anything.
Once again, great video, thanks!

Sure thing! A good PC that can run VirtualBox with enough cores to handle the number of VM machines. But doesn't have to be overkill.
This one here should get you in the right direction: th-cam.com/video/rF18jf7Mjwo/w-d-xo.html
yeah, in vector step 3 its a little mistake
it must be "gogto step 8" not step 7.
very nice video..sir can you pls tell me how call goes FROM ONE NODE TO ANOTHER in telephony sytsem in a EPABX

you could create a hunt group for this which would in my opinion be better

Nice video. Thanks.
How do you remove vectors?
you could delete the vdn, so the vector would be inaccessible,
list usage vector xx
should give you which vdn it is connected to.

I see that too. It would be odd to have the phone suddenly disconnect if you was to dial 2.
I love your videos! It has really help me!! Just a small request, can you do a video on skills. I Have no knowledge on the subject.
I want to forward a specific PSTN number to a specific DID number. Can you tell me how to set that up?

just as in the video give them "wait-time" for like 7 seconds to be able to press the buttons and then go to the next step.

Try "list usage extension" command to check everything related.
