We have a three phase 90 amp contactor that consistently arc welds the center leg. With a meter it draws 38-50 amps. And of course does not arc while trouble shooting it. What could it be?
Where does the power for the coil come from being it's a different voltage then the power the contractor is being used for? Is there a built in transformer or does there need to be a separate one to power the coil?
Great information. Simple and straightforward.
Amazing video tutorial/information ❤ 👍 Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience 🇵🇭🫡

there needs to be a separate transformer providing the control voltage.
Good job
HOW TO SELECT THE SIZING OF CONTACTOR TO DIFFERENT TYPES OF STARTERS. & DIFFERENT SIZES OF HP &RPM OF MOTOR TO DIFFERENT LOADS.
what is normal resistance of a contractor coil
It varies with the size and design of the coil.

Great stuff 🤣
Thank you for trying I still don’t get it, I think I am an idiot.
