Mr Shue: Rachel I don’t like you like that Also Mr Shue: sings two songs about young girls liking older guys who can’t go out with only because it illegal
Isn’t “Young Girl” and “Don’t Stand so Close to Me” both about wanting to sleep with a teenage girl, but refraining because they know it’s wrong/illegal? Mixed signals Mr. Shue.
Where you’re almost right, he doesn’t sing much of the lyrics from Young girl about wanting her, he changes them up and even sings “before you change your mind” rather than “change my mind”. It was brilliant and one of my absolute faves. Perving on Mr S is nice too 😂
So schue's masterplan to discourage Rachel from having feelings for him was to serenade her with songs implying he was tempted to sleep with her? *slow clap*
@@skylermoore1320 Sure but do you think a young teen girl gets that? It's a song about a teacher being tempted by by his student, and he sung it to a student. Why is he singing about his temptations towards another teacher in this situation anyway?

I feel like in this performance, he was singing to Rachel and Emma. When he spoke about how it was wrong and how the young girl was crazy, that was for Rachel, trying to tell her that it was never going to happen and he wasn't interested. And the temptation part was about Emma since Will looked at her when he sang that. He was trying to convey his feelings for both of them. How Rachel's crush was inappropriate and it would never amount to anything and how he had secret feelings for Emma and wanted to be with her, but couldn't at the time and it drove him nuts. I had a very good looking acquaintance who became a high school teacher. He quit after the second year because he couldn't handle girls constantly being inappropriate and flirtatious, and figured it was time to get into something else before he did anything wrong (or even anything which could be seen to be wrong). I wish the teachers we read about in headlines every year had that level of self-awareness!
This reminds me of my music teacher I had in school. He had such a great singing voice and helped me get through bullying.
