Isn't the whole problem is that people constantly get OFFLINE raided? I mean I don't think that online raiding ever an issue in scum. But if you go offline this base immediatelly just as easy to raid as any other, there is absolutely not difference. Maybe if you place some spikes on the top of the tower where you land from the ladder? I'm not sure if it's possible to improve it that way, I don't really know trap mechanics.
1. it’s just a design idea not a whole base build 2. you’re right. Against offline raiding you can only build more walls & doors, set more traps and maybe destroy the stairs ( a lot of private servers do not allow that tho. But let’s say you’re a duo squad on a private server that has structure damage turned off during the week. If you’re getting raided by 10 ppl having a entrance like that might save your ass
Or let’s say you have a big squad on official server with all time zones covered . But there is only 1 online at some times. A squeeze point like that might save your Defense

would not recommend upgrading it since barbwire will appear and be inside your base
They might have fixed it... i can build it, and climb up the ladder, but it wont let me use it down.
Check the measurements, I‘ve used it just yesterday.
Probably you need to leave a little bigger gap
