  • In this video I finally hit some trails with some friends for the first time in a while. We hit the trail "Beam me up spotty" and this trail was no joke. Had to use the Harbor Freight Badlands 12k winch on half of the obstacles I tried. There are a few more upgrades I want to install before I head out Again.

      Before this I hadn’t even had to use it, so it was good to finally give it a good workout and it did great. Did 7 pretty tough pulls on one trail, and I was impressed.

    that steering deff has seen better days and that A pillar looks rough. I want to hit those trails once my Cherokee is built

    I can't believe how much Gary sounds different on his podcast, it's not the same voice.

    Looks like a great time. All things considered. Flex looks dialed in. You've put a lot of work in on your rig in the last several months. 👍👊👏

      Thanks, I am very happy with it so far. It is definitely a huge upgrade over my previous setup. I wouldn’t have been able to do any of that trail before.

    Oh man I am watching your video thinking wow I go up there from time to time. Always alone. But I have been looking for someone to go out weeling with. So if you guys go back up there I was wondering if I could join. I am pretty new to this but I have had some fun in my 2014 jku. I am sitting on 35s with a 3" lift.

    I watched the video of the new Badland Apex winch... didn't notice how old that video was ... then you say in this video, "you haven't winched that much before." So you finally put that winch to the test. What did you think of it?

    • @MuddyBeards4X4
      @MuddyBeards4X4  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, I finally had to use it a ton. I had to do 7 pulls on one trail. Including me, Nate’s and helping Gary’s 4 door jk with a ls swap get over the last obstacle. And we were all very impressed. It worked very well. Line speed was good. Plenty of power and it is also fairly quit compared to my old Smittybilt winch. I will probably be doing a follow up review video soon. Thanks for watching👍🏻

    Just bought a set of the MT2s and there are just so few reviews on them. Have you done one and if not can you?
    I just got mine on sale and were less than patagonias for the same size.... and excited to get them on the trail
    Thanks and would love to hear your opinion on the tire... on road, off and such

      @@MuddyBeards4X4 Good to know Kelly, Thanks. One good take-a-way for me with this video is you can't have too much underbelly protection.

    • @MuddyBeards4X4
      @MuddyBeards4X4  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      True, lots of skids and belly clearance is key for sure.
