I get tinned sea food, potatoes, peas, garlic, onion, salt and thyme, boil and mash my potatoes, then mix in my drained tuna and other ingrediants to make my fish burger, which I crumb and cook in a pan. Then a brown bread bun, with rocket and pickled radish slices. Yummy! Love you Bart!
the way i make my patties are, mashed potato, tinned tuna, sweet corn, garlic, dill all mixed together, and made into patties, then i bake in the oven rather than fry. For the bun i like tartare sauce, lettuce and cucumber.
AWESOME complexity!!!!! For the patty: For me, i would also add salmon, lemon, spring onion too! Slow fry the patty with a bit of butter! For the sauce: I would add mayonnaise, lemon zest, lemon and a final touch of coriander leaves and spring onion (Finely chopped together) Hahhaa!!! I know some of you guys might find it a bit....eeeeeehhhh but i am just stating hehehe!! How is it? BART!!
Just looking at that is making my mouth water, got hold of a sea bream today, so will be having that for lunch tomorrow, have to go back through your recipes to see how we fancy it. Got some monk fish the other day, have been told it's nice in a curry as it's a firm fish. Got the fish appetite now watching your channel, Thanks Bart.
Awesome burger, Bart! Hope this one wins me a copy: Mix tinned crab with mayo, a tiny bit of mustard, another tiny bit of Tabasco, parsley, dill, chives and chopped pickles. Take a soft bread bun (or a slice of white bread) and place the crab mixture on it. Add whatever kind of green you like, I prefer iceberg lettuce, add a few very thin slices of tomatoes, a few slices of pickles, and a healthy portion of red onion slices. I like to serve it cold, so before assembly, I put my crab mixture in the fridge. I'm not sure that this counts as a burger, perhaps, more of a sandwich.
Lovely recipe Bart. Well thought out. Seafood wise my favorite seafood "Burger" is with a large crab cake. I won't presume to post the recipe on your channel. Please, keep sharing these delicious video's. Blessings ChefMike.
I love that you went with simple fresh toppings like cucumber and tomato. I think it's great to have this like this as salmon can be quite intense. Nice recipe, definitely added to the things I'll cook this summer ;)
Hey Bart. Great recipe, as always :) Usually, when I want fishy burger, I make it with canned tuna. I mix canned tuna, packed in oil, drained it. Mix with finely chopped red onion, minced garlic clove (I Love Garlic So Much :)), Tabasco sauce, breadcrumbs and lemon zest. I grill them on a skillet and serve them on a grilled baguette, rubbed with garlic, mayo, burger on top, lettuce and lots of pickled onion. YUM! I am sending you lots of love from Macedonia :)
Salmon chunks, parsley, onion or red pepper, capers, panko, the right seasoning ;), top with smoked salmon, spinach and arugula. Lemon mayo, but I make my own mayo. Buttery, lightly toasted brioche bun. Serve with fries and a few fried shrimp.
My fave seafood burger would be tiger prawns patty mixed with bit of tinned anchovies for saltiness, roasted melted garlic and a little chili flakes inside, topped with avacado, arugula salad and honey mustard dressing! Yum! :) Bart's Fish Tales love your videos! I love seafood and it's always interesting to learn new recipes from you! Keep up the great love for fish!
Bart's Fish Tales Not forgetting bread crumbs and egg white to make it stick. York may taste too distinctive and cover the sweetness of prawns. Prawns are sliced roughly and it give a very nice bite in the burger.
***** Congratulations, with your seafood burger you have won a copy of my new Cooking with Tinned Fish book!! Please send an e-mail with your address to bart@fish-tales.com and laura@fish-tales.com and we will send it to you :)

hi bart! thanks for always making awesome videos...i'm a vegetarian and yet i watch all of your videos because i love to see you cook passionately in wonderful places...the burger looks delicious haha, i will recommend it to my pescetarian sister :) she has been eating nothing but salmon lately!
Looks delicious. I'm definitely going to try this. :) My recipe for my favorite burger: * Onion * Two teaspoons minced garlic * One red and one green bell pepper *One tomato chopped no seeds *Two pounds of chicken *1/2 cup of bread crumbs * One egg * Adobo Goya seasoning to taste (It includes salt) * pepper to taste Process: Add some olive oil to the pan.Saute the onion with the garlic first, then the bell peppers and then the tomatoes. Once the vegetables are soft set them aside so that they cool down. Mix the chicken with the vegetables in a bowl. Add the egg, bread crumbs and then season to taste. Once everything is mixed make around 8 patties. Grill over medium heat for 5 minutes per side. Enjoy :3
Bart's Fish Tales - Delicious as this looks, my biggest problem with this burger is that Alaskan King Salmon is just too expensive to chop up into a burger and I'm never able to convince myself to do that. I really did like the recipe though and might try it out with Sockeye or Copper River salmon or maybe some other less expensive fish. Usually when I'm craving a fish burger, I use a crab cake as the patty made from tinned crab. Turns out pretty flavorful and a lot easier on the pocket.
I don't cook that much burger but what I like to do is use a chipa (its a cheese bread) as a bun. Its so yummy :) PS: love the recipe! Sadly no one in my family like that much fish and I love it but I am going to make this and I'm sure they would love it

Ebi Fireo (Filet-o-Shrimp) is my favourite burger, I really want you to cook it possibly, thanks.
pouya varqa e Thanks for the great idea! Never had an Ebi Fireo before, but I googled it and it looks amazing!
What is the grill/griddle you used?
you should pop it up to your fridge for 30 mins before grilling, so they become more firm and all the moisture suck in to breadcrumbs
paczes Nice tip!
My favorite recipe:
Caper mayonnaise:
180 ml mayonnaise
20 ml lemon juice
20 ml capers, chopped
1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
Salmon cake
675 g salmon, chopped
2 green onions, finely chopped
75 ml bread crumbs
1 egg
30 ml presley, chopped
30 ml mayonnaise
10 ml lemon juice
5 ml Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper
Voilà!
Stéphanie Mercier Awesome, thanks for sharing!
The avacado took it to a whole new level damn it looks good
What could be a good substitute for the mayonnaise?
+1GoodRiddance You could totally swap the mayo for some good yoghurt.
Thank you, I will be making these burgers next weekend!
The burger patty really reminds me of Thai fish cakes, & I know I'm not the only one XD
Do you think its possible to mince the salmon?
I would not do it in a food processor because you will lose all texture and it will come out like a paste, but you can always experiment.
Yes, you're right about that.
Thank you for your reply!
My gooooodness😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
Are you related to Dirk Kuyt? The fotboll player? I love your vlogs. :)

Maybe a Thai or Mexican burger
Unfortunately it's very difficult to get (good) fresh salmon where I live... good fresh fish in general... :/
theHeinzStuhlgang That's a pity.. If you really can't get it, you can also use frozen salmon instead.. Hope you will give it a go anyway :)
Deze gaat binnenkort nog op de BBQ!
Redteketed01 Nice!
