- READ ME! So this repair was a bit of a fiasco, and as such THIS IS NOT A HOW-TO GUIDE. Additionally, this job ran long, so I've chopped it into two videos. I wanted to publish it though because it shows how I get through repairs that I haven't done before, when I need to figure it out.

Thank you for not scrapping this video. I now know exactly what I need to purchase to replace my cracked screen on my Aspire V5-571p. I almost purchased just the digitizer and now I know better!

A million thanks for this video! I have just torn the screen apart following your instructions, and everything works. I am going on holiday soon and was quite desperate when I saw that I hadn't ordered the whole assembly to replace my broken screen and didn't understand how to fix get the old screen out of the holder.
I'm in the middle of a digitizer replacement on an Asus Transformer T100. This unit is actually put together very nicely making it very easy to replace the digitizer.

yes full assembly could be better. we are screen seller on ebay and amazon. Wondering maybe we could make a screen replacement instruction album with you. for Acer , Asus , MacBook , Lenovo , Toshiba , HP etc.
Hi, I have an Acer M5 481PTG laptop with 14" touchscreen. The assembly of digitizer, panel and frame looks exactly the same. Now I would like to upgrade the panel to IPS.
Do you think it would be possible to seperate the digitizer from the frame (in order to change the panel) without breaking the digitizer?
Hello friend, I have an acer aspire v7, with a broken digtizer, it's screen is working perfectly but the digitizer is broken. Can i remove it and leave it at that ? will it cause any problems ?
also, is it possible to upgrade the screen from a 768p to a 1080p from Aspire V5 model

use the 1080p screen from Acer Aspire V7 482P on my Acer Aspire V7 481P 768p, AFAIK, the connectors are exactly same, a 30 pin connector.

And some time before i tried to fix an cellphone. Sansumg S4. Heatinging the LCD, trying to separate the glass of lcd with utility knife.. but soon in the begining i broke the lcd LOL

Just done one of these and i found out the same way that the digitize was glued to the screen its a real pain.
could you just disconect the digitize and use a mice and keyboard
where can i find monitor cable for that??
