Thanks for sharing an outstanding tape by Goddard. At certain time in our lives, we have to moved from the God of tradition to the God of experience.

    How true that actually is.
In a "reality" of lies & illusions...

I know that he's not perfect, but it's so hard to listen after he starts off with such an error in his assessment of the scriptures. He seems by that assumption to fit the Antichrist that the apostle John talks about. The apostle John who lived and was a real person, not a figment of anyone's imagination but an actual being in flesh and blood

This is my issue with him. it Makes it hard to separate it out from the valuable information , as he wends it so tightly into his writings and lectures. I have no problem with him believing what he wants, but to cleverly twist the meanings of the Bible when teaching others is hard to ignore.

The Bible lines up with his understandings, when seen from the perspective that he describes over and over. It’s nothing new, but esoteric.
The Christ is within. It is You. The AntiChrist would be found in praising and putting another as another as the Savior - from my understanding. It’s all an entirely symbolic way of understanding reality and the ancients tried to depict that in their way of expressing it. Whether based on real people or allegorical.

@@LifeConsciously hey, thanks for the comment. Unfortunately he doesn't line up with The Bible and he's actually stating things That the apostle John explicitly warns against. I'm not sure if you read my first comment or the other person 's but what I explained is that the Bible teaches both aspects that are true, the natural and the spiritual not just one. The apostle Paul was addressing this because people even in that time were starting to come up with all kinds of crazy ideas about the Christ which were false or at the very least perverting the truth. To be very Frank, it is a trick of the enemy to get people to believe that Jesus Christ did not actually exist because the aspect of him actually being on Earth and shedding his actual blood is Paramount to one's salvation. You'll notice it's in all of the new age types of teachings about Jesus. They deny all types of things about him because it's the enemy's trick. All within the new age is all about the Christ consciousness and him being in everyone and denying the physical Jesus Christ who lived and died and was buried and rose from the dead triumphant over the enemy and death for all of God's children to be redeemed by trusting in his sacrifice. If the enemy can get people to deny that and teach others. He gets small victories. These things, of course are a lot more obvious now because of archaeological evidence. You can hear audio of Neville talking about how they should stop searching in Israel because they won't ever find anything because it was all in the imagination and made up. Of course he was proven completely 100% wrong because all they do is find more and more evidence every year at the scriptures Are true and historical.

@JoeyBryant1980 Well put, my brother. I started listening to this man about a month ago and, as much as I have found a lot of help in his teachings, I have also found a lot of errors that people without discernment will swallow line, hook and sinker. I liken listening to such teachings to eating fish. You can't swallow everything. You take what's good and helpful and throw away the bones. At least he quotes the Bible, unlike most other manifestation teachers who quote all these false gods. I John 4:1-3 warned against people who do not acknowledge that Jesus came in the flesh and was even explicit in calling them the anti Christ.

@@JoeyBryant1980 I understand what you’re saying to be the view and teachings of the church, or a literal surface understanding from reading scripture. And if that’s what you grew up believing and were taught, it’ll be very tough to see Goddard’s understanding.
Godard’s view (again, this is esoterics) is that the Bible is written on people and places that may have existed, but is meant to be read in symbolic representation. As in Jericho and Joshua, which he has a lecture on. Every story, from his view, is meant to be read in this way. He believed it was an internal description on what goes within man. Nothing about the devil taking over the world. His view would be “devil (doubt) taking over your own inner world”. “Christ” is the redeeming power of God, and it is one with yourself within. You are your own savior within you, against doubt (the devil). The only victories doubt wins, is when you give into doubt. Ideals and states of mind in the Bible are personified in characters and places, whether they were fictional or based on real people and places. That’s all Goddard tries to explain.
