NG provides a technique ... all about your inner chats-- think positive things about this person/ people; adopt an upbeat mental interaction while ruthlessly censoring out all your negative thoughts & memories. NG has a case study of an office situation -- female employee said her boss hated her etc. After trying out this approach she was soon promoted by her newly supportive boss. Really worked for me too .. give it a try -- couple of weeks, and a big transformation!

Look all around you, you created and sustain or destroy all. If it doesn't work, then perhaps you don't have complete awareness and control of your imagination. All day we encounter things we react too, from the weather, the news, gossip, a TV show/movie we watch. We can imagine and feel the end for a moment but if the rest of the day, we harbor doubts and fears or if we try to hard with the mind because deep down we feel it can't be this easy, then we get the truth of what we feel. * If a beginner-intermediate pianist wants to learn a difficult piano piece that is normally not attempted except by a master level pianist, does the student say piano doesn't work, the piano teacher is bad, etc? The imaginal arts are like any skill that one needs to develop BUT since it's something we already do, most people don't want to start with the smaller things and build the skill, so results on things that feel big and heartfelt give mixed or sometimes even opposite results. * If it really feels it doesn't work, then stop and pause and just be and let life flow through you whatever. The imaginative spirit will come back and perhaps the grounds will be more fertile and ready. Sometimes we need to go through the furnaces of life to melt back into perfect form. * Y HH, Neville often said it was the difficult students who eventually excel the greatest.

Distance yourself from that person. It may be difficult, but toxic relationships never has a happy ending.
