Beautiful content. "You have to bring out something that you can't see with your own eyes.. something that's deeper inside of you, that's part of your spirit." I much prefer your perspective of equalizing people by looking for the light in their eyes .. what inspires their imagination. Thank you xo
Another beautiful painting. Imagination is the story out minds build. Much like virtual reality we live in it albeit for the moment. So true about the light in the eyes of people. Such a beautiful memory ofbthe lake that you have captured for your aunt and uncle. Beautiful gift.
Thank you ♥️ It is a type of virtual reality haha, but something that can help us be more positive, or aware at least :) The light in peoples' eyes is always so important, its what people hope you see in them, I think.
i had a deep connection to seeing the world as a painting and in that same time the deepest connection ever to my day dreams and imagination. currently it seems to be out of service, but i am desperate for it to return, for all the reasons you spoke of in this video. i am not religious myself. I love your videos. They remind me of what it is all about.
I find sometimes the imagination is like a muscle. We have to use it and shape it even, and sometimes life does kinda beat it up. But it can be recovered :)
Such beautiful and profound words 💗 Empathy is so important to give love in all we do. Your painting is a loving gift from the heart. Have a wonderful Christmas and thank you for your videos. Love Keats as well 😊
Thank you! I totally agree--empathy and stepping into someone else's shoes such a beautiful, human thing. And art has taught me even more about it, so I'm glad I can share it. Hope you have a lovely Christmas too! 🎄 P.S. Keats is the quintessential Romantic isn't he!
@MeaghanMarieArt Empathy is the key to imagination. As Mary Oliver said, "The second world-the world of literature-offered me, besides the pleasures of form, the sustentation of empathy (the first step of what Keats called negative capability) and I ran for it. I relaxed in it.” To escape from ourselves alone and become a part of the whole around us 😊
@@northernlassie2755 Couldn't have said it better! Mary Oliver is such a heavy weight poet, I always pick up her books to read a poem or two in a bookstore. And yes! Keats' negative capability is so on point. Now I'm going to have to make a video on that 😂
If you left the video at 6:45, that would have been the drop the mike moment. The painting looks like I’d love to visit. Happy holidays and thank you for yet another entertaining, informative but most of all profound video.
I think that people are equal in their participation in making life meaningful. Everyone has their own story and it contributes to the story of the community. Also I noticed that you don’t need to be hyper-successful in the modern sense to make someone’s day special, you just have to treat them like a real person
I agree completely! Treating someone like a real person with inherent value makes them feel seen, and honestly that's what most want in this world, I think, even if the overt culture doesn't always push us in that direction!
Years ago I did a little of it! Unfortunately, you have to produce art super quick in that field...and even more unfortunately concept art is easily done by AI nowadays :/ I guess if people wanted to commission an oil painting as a concept art type of thing, I'd be open, but it would go through the same traditional process I paint with.

Thank you! Your comment is so kind! People are so much more than the sum of their parts :)

@@MeaghanMarieArt i am glad you believe in its ability to be recovered. i really need to do it. i had gotten it to an ideal place.

Love it! Which type of paint did you use here?
According to the see more tab it's oil paint.
Thank you! Yes it is oil paint on cotton paper :)
@ thanks so much ❤️
@@robot7759 thanks! I must’ve missed that 🙃
@@AlexaJanell you're welcome.
Just curious, have you ever thought of doing concept art ?
