I totally agree on taking our own references pictures or drawing from real life : i feel it's what really make our art our own ❤ (and i also have a couple of sketchbooks because i like drawing and painting, and there is a limit in the water that a drawing sketchbook can take before pouting 😂)
This was so great! As someone who hasn't used Pinterest I am a little relieved (it sounds like I would also get overwhelmed by the number of different things to be inspired by). I have only recently gotten the canvases out again and I am so excited to see what you get up to! I am still writing up some of my 2025 plans and am getting a little ahead of myself so I'm thankful for the reminder to be realistic - and have fun ☺️.
I'm so glad you've enjoyed it! Yes, Pinterest can definitely get overwhelming 😆 I need to follow your example and get my canvases out soon, there's a certain charm to oils ❤️
I loved your art habits you plan to take into the new year! I can especially resonate with using multiple sketchbooks and using your own reference photos. Art dates is also something I’d love to do too!
Hi, so happy that I finally took time and started watching your videos. ❤ Chose the 2025 themed one, because I have also been thinking about goals a lot lately. It was interesting what you said about having multiple sketchbooks. When I started with sketchbooks last year more seriously, then I also felt like I needed only one. But for now I took out my other sizes and it keeps me more motivated, because I can choose the medium and size. At the same time, I feel so bad, because I won't be able to finish any of them soon😂 my mini sketchbook you have been seeing on IG has like 150 pages!! (Okay I started writing here after your first point, but to be honest, every single point you mentioned, I can agree soo much). I will definitely come back to this video, I really loved it! I could talk about every single topic you had here, but then you would have an essay 😂❤
Hi Getter! Thank you so much for watching and for the kind comment! I really appreciate it ❤️ Yes! I feel exactly the same about the multiple sketchbooks, it makes me so much more motivated! I haven't finished one sketchbook last year but I'm sure I'll have a few finished this year (hopefully🤞🏻)
Aww thank you very much 😊 I know there's a plein air one in April I think, can't remember the month exactly. And now in January there's the bird one 🕊️
I just finished watching and it was really nice to hear about your goals and how you feel this year about your art practice. If you go back to oil painting I would be really curious about it ! I wasn't expecting the last part of the video but you already know what I'm thinking of it, that was such a joy to join challenges with you and meet you in real life 💜💜 I'm cheering these moments
I'm so happy you've enjoyed this one! I was unsure about posting it initially as it's a bit more personal, but I'm glad I did ☺️ And yes! I'm really cherishing these moments too! Maybe in the new year we can do some plein air painting of the Mont Blanc together (maybe in oils hihi) 💕
That was very nice to listen to your "ramblings" 😆 I need to do that kind of reflection for what I want to do next year and your ideas are quite helpful. The only thing I am sure is that I want to create more in 2025 as this year has been very bad in that regard 😂 So cheers to a creative and fulfilling year 2025 🥂
I definitely recommend it to self reflect in your practice! It makes you realise how far you've come, what has been working for you and what you can improve 😊 cheers to the new year! And thank you for your support on my videos during this year 😊
Great tips I'll try some of them I think I have more of a wish for 2025 to make an artist friend. I have no friends in this world since I've just started and it feels really lonely sometimes...
Since graduating I have found it quite hard to make artist friends and I completely understand about the loneliness but I'd recommend to have a look at some local workshops or art classes (maybe some figure drawing classes), attend some exhibitions, maybe even attend some online workshops too! 😊
Love this video. Makes me want to think about my art process and practice. 😊 Also, wanted to share with you that Jesus loves you and anyone else who reads this comment.❤

Yes, it definitely creates a special bond with your art when you're using your own references 😁
Great tips! Especially that the main thing is always to have fun!
Thank you so much 😊

It’s so true about supplies. I am relatively new to the art world and it’s so hard to try stick with what you have to learn. Merry Christmas 🎄 x
