As an irishman it was great to hear an irish twang in a UK audit 😂😂 And tbf he was bloody spot on Impartial and chatty just like a real person which is rare in the UK police force
Technically speaking as another Irish person myself, even the moon does not have a dispensation to fly over the palace or the lands of the ground of the diocese and it is committing a grievous violation of hanging or moving in the sky without permission and/or a permit and it is completely not allowed 🚫 😂😂😂

The police were top notch on this occasion and the guy in the main office was clearly just worried he'd get in trouble. Top work by the police to alleviate the concerns and research the law. Really enjoy when everything just works out.
The airspace above is not public. This is why you see jumbo jet pilots stopping and asking permission to fly over residences on their way to the airport.
In reality they are as intelligent or as stupid as everyone else. It's just everyone thinks they are smart and the working class are dumb. When the opposite is just as likely, your birth position does not set your intelligence level.

A lot of organisations assume that if they decide you cannot fly over their land that makes it law. Cannot make out who owns the palace either the church or Hammersmith council.
"A lot of organisations" and self-entitled, money-hiding landowners who open their houses up to the public for a fee" don't like people flying over either, as we have seen from Dan in the past!
We need more coppers like the Irishman. Very polite, friendly and engaging. Not walking around with a chip on his shoulder, eager to arrest law abiding citizens for any reason, like most of the UK police thugs on the force nowadays.
No drones were harmed during the 1 hour and 5 minutes it took to make this video, unfortunately during this time Mr Macks Mini Market at Richmond got flash attacked by shoplifters and £3500 of stock was stolen, the police did not attend due to no available officers in the vicinity !
You can if you have his name n number go on Hammersmith with police complaints and on tge firm you can give praise which he will be given. Done it a few times. Did it for the Manchester airport police 😊
The young officer is shaping up nicely to become a real ignorant, intrusive, arrogant plod. He just needs to keep at it for a year or so to achieve complete tyrant status. He needs to chill and resist the urge to demand information he is not entitled to and to resist the overwhelming urge to bark orders. He really needs to stand back, take a leaf out the book his colleague has obviously learned from and think about his future. Mind you, given he works for the Met, he is fine as he is. Shame.
Hello from Ireland also - it’s so funny how our accent stands out so much on film in a good way! total gentleman and I’d be running to him first if I needed any help. The other officer can’t be more than 25 lol his skin regime if he’s older is flawless! :)
Why do they get the right to bother you with their accusations even after you've got clearance for the flight? Why don't the police contact the heliport first to see if any drone flights are approved. How many aircraft go over them in a day...do they report them too? ID nonsense again.
Yup. A glance at that email should be more than enough. They did actually do some research, which is unusual, so I'll give them some credit for that. But they are cops: always trying to pin something on you, even if they have no clue. A hammer looking for a nail.

Jesus Christ I’m amazed there’s actually some good police officers out there. The Irish guy needs to be a Sargent as the force needs more like him. Great video
I honestly wish you would read the drone code. The police aren’t entitled to your operator ID. There are strict stressors for them to demand it. They have to suspect you are flying outside of your class. Meaning they have to reasonably believe you are flying a drone that needs a licence or they have to have a reasonable suspicion that you don’t have the operator ID on the drone (does not have to be visible) how they could ever establish a suspicion for that I don’t know. They use it as a way to ID people. Which is not lawful. Check out focus pocus. He has done a few videos pointing this out.
Why do these people think that if both of them talk to you at the same time, it makes it more offical ?????? They just talk bollocks and believe everything they say without confirming with ANYONE, police, superiors, CAA, council etc. Apart from steaming in on blues and twos and shouting to bring the drone down, the coppers were great, no attitudes, false accusations etc, which is often the case. The manager STILL wouldn't accept a crime hadn't been committed, even though the police were ok with it. If more coppers were like the Irish gent, there would be far less claims made on the police, far fewer people that didn't trust the police and the whole country would be better off.
