@TriCountyAlcohol One of the reasons Moody is different than other schools is that they are a perfect location for a huge variety of ministry opportunities. MBI is located downtown Chicago and nearly all cultural or demographic groups are represented here. This is an incredible chance to learn about people different than ourselves and build relationships with them. I would not get the chance for such diversity at any other school that I know of.
@TriCountyAlcohol.. Many times people get the wrong impression that Moody students are getting a full ride scholarship. I am very grateful for our full tuition scholarships, but in many instances Moody Students are still working hard to make ends meet financially. Students at MBI are responsible to pay for room and board in Chicago and those totals are sometimes higher than total cost at other schools (including tuition). Chicago is has a great location for ministry.
While I appreciate the fact that Moody provides quality education; in Brookes testimony there is little she offered that can't be provided in any school in the nation. Anyone can be a big brother/sister. How did attending Moody make that different? Or maybe it didn't. I paid for at least part of my education at a theological school. I don't think it hurt me or took away from the value of my educational/spiritual time. In fact I believe I value it more.
