@@Kigoz4Life Tim I suspect has sponsors.
If I’m paying that much, I’m coughing when I want to.
@@reneej7241 I was blown away when Tim said they knocked on his door! I could understand if it were music or his tv (that didn’t exist there) but that was completely out of his control! UK folks must be much kinder souls than Americans because I would’ve lost it 🤣
That's so rude of them. What if it was a child coughing? Just put a pillow over their face. Ugh!
Walls in America thin af
@@jonathanalexander7036yes, ALL the walls are paper 😅😅😅😅😅
That's a bit rude of those people anyone would think you was coughing just to annoy them.
Hope you are feeling better now Tim and thank you once again for a great video.
Yes. I would not have even answered the door
However nice and clean it was, that is an insane amount of money for a very much non-sound insulated motel. Very entertaining as always though; glad you went so we don't have to!
It’s for trixie fans . I would love to go .
I was shocked at that cost… I was expecting half that
Couldn’t imagine ever having the audacity to knock on a strangers hotel door and asking them to sleep with a pillow over their face. I mean maybe they should wear ear plugs if they don’t want to hear coughing, snoring, or other Palm
Springs bedroom noises lol
Very cheeky neighbours, one of the most ridiculous comments about putting the pillow over the face too. Shameful idiots
Or, maybe Trixie should have installed thicker walls?
@@Forgoneconclusion.well yeah but earplugs are an easy solution.
Expensive!
@@sophiewood That's true... I wouldn't stay there though.
Why can’t hotels make sure walls are soundproof. It’s so annoying to hear your neighbours and know they can hear you too…
Too expensive.
Wooden buildings I guess.
Old building probably built in the 1950s. They are doing this to a lot of the older Motor Hotels - remodeling to be cute boutique themed locations. Breathe new life into these dated but interesting motels.
They charge enough for one night that they could afford insulation and probably get it at a good cost. @przytulanka1979
This was a cheap cosmetic makeover of an ageing building. These old motels are okay for one night but you wouldn’t spend a week here.
I WAS SHOCKED - You forgot to say how many people you could fit in the shower!
Sacre bleu!
He totally did!
Three people or four good friends!
Judging by the color, how many shreks could fit in that shower
Tim in a grubby hotel room: "I'm afraid to touch anything!"
Tim in a pristine hotel room: "I'm afraid to touch anything!"
This comment! 😂😂🎉🎉
ha ha ha .. true!
Palm springs has a lot of that gorgeous early 1960's Rat Pack aesthetic. Trixies is living right up to it. I kinda love this era of Americana.
As a Trixie fan, I expect nothing less from both Trixie and David. So proud of what they’ve done with the motel. Also Tim, if you’re reading this, you should watch the TV series about the Trixie Motel. 😊
100% agree 🩷 nothing but that from Trixie and David
I adored that TV series, too 🩷🦩😀
Same!!
Absolutely THIS!! 💕
already have ;-) since my visit
A hotel room in great condition that’s rare.
Lol
except no soundproof lol
WE weren't expecting this crossover 🤣🤣🤣
I think that's the best themed room i've ever seen. Clean, organized and fun!
What a lovely place. Apart from your neighbours, you can't help having a cough!
Those plug in air freshners always make me cough too. They must be full of chemicals that are not good for us.
When one of my daughter's was about 7 or 8 I built her a big dolls house and painted it flamingo pink. This video brought back lovely memories.
I've shared this video link to my daughter.
I love Trixie and Katya! So excited to watch this episode!
Love Trixie Mattel, a drag ICON😍 this was amazing, thanks Tim for going here!
As a fan of both Tim and Trixie, this is worlds colliding for me lmao!
Yes! I’ve never been so excited to see one of Tim’s episodes! I love them both!
@@ViolentMoth Same! 💖
That’s the nicest place you have stayed since you arrived.
I just think it's crazy that these people would to knock on your door to say stop coughing. I mean I can see if you were yelling and there was loud noise or music. But you're coughing. How horrible. These people are. Just ridiculous!!
I'm a very pink person and absolutely love this hotel's attention to detail. 😊
How pristine was this place!!! So much attention to detail, I was super impressed! Very aesthetically pleasing too! So unfortunate that you were poorly while you were there 😢
I watched Trixie renovate this hotel and I'm so excited to see you there. I have been waiting all week!❤
WOW: this is one of the cleanest resort rooms I've seen on travel channels including yours in a good while that ISN'T a five or even perhaps four-star luxury resort. In fact I'd dare argue it's more immaculate than some five-star resorts I've seen as of late. Kudos to them for raising the bar with that and soooooooo much more, it's truly a beautiful motel! 🥰
Real Men love Pink! great video! That motel is so cute!!!🙉
My husband watched the renovation of that place. So cool that it stayed the same. Was really awesome to watch it put together.
Whenever "Motel" is mentioned I think back to the TV series "Crossroads".
😂😂😂
A cross over I wasn’t expecting ❤️
This is the best place you stayed at so far, in this USA series. I think the "grand" hotels in LA can learn something from this place!! Still $700 is a bit much for motel/hotel, without a decent restaurant. Think $250 would be fair for a standard room at this place!!
Paying 500 a night for strangers to tell me not to cough is ridiculous
Thought this was fabulous! Beautifully detailed, spotlessly clean and a real credit to the owners! Really enjoyed seeing it... 😊
Probably one of your best reviews I've seen on your channel. I'm not sure if I could stay there - the colour would be overwhelming for me; but the cleanliness is awesome.
If someone knocked on my door i'd politely tell them to go away and then put my music on the record player so they can't hear me coughing!!
I remember we were driving across the country and stayed in a motel overnight. My infant [4 months] son was fussy crying despite our efforts to sooth him. It was around 9 pm but someone from the next room came over and banged on our door to complain. After a long drive, our baby was having a hard time settling down to sleep in the strange environment. No one wants coughing or crying, but often it can't be stopped easily. I travel with ear plugs just in case.
Palm Springs is beautiful 🎀💕 looking forward to this one Tim 😊, much 💖 from Auckland New Zealand 🇳🇿
PS flamingo 🦩 are my favourite + I collect anything with them too, helps pink is my absolute fav colour too 🎀 I want to stay there so bad. 😊
How refreshing, the place is absolutely spotless and faultless...what an amazing place to stay..its almost like being in a dolls house lol
That's the coolest hotel. I love the colors and retro styles. I think I saw something years ago about that and the Property Brothers helping design it. I'd stay there over the fancy hotels. Fun place!
Ha! That is so great, I NEVER thought I would see you go someplace like this, LOVE IT! And I’m so jealous!
One of the nicest and most unique hotels you have shown us. I would rather stay in this boutique hotel than the ‘fancy hotels’ in Paris, Dubai or Hollywood. Thank you for showing us this hotel. They did a great job with the decor and the styling was very well thought out as well. I enjoyed watching this video.
Omg!!!! I can’t believe you stayed at the Trixie Motel!!!! I watched the video when her motel was being constructed!!!!! This is my favorite!!!!!!
This room is so cute. I think it looks better than the Marilyn room you stayed in..
READ that shabby Maryln room hunty 🤭🤭🤭
I'm a trixie fan love her 😍
That place is like a blast from the past . Great place
THIS IS THE CROSSOVER WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR
Okayyyy, a Walk With Me Tim and Trixie Mattel / Trixie Motel collision of worlds was not on my 2024 bingo card. HERE FOR IT.
Put a pillow over your mouth! That's pretty horrible, you cant help having a cough.
That's mean, do they think you're coughing on purpose? I hope you snored loudly after that!
i know! thats some people for you
@@WalkWithMeTim cant believe some people complain about others coughing. I think I would have told them to F off
After that.... I'd have told them to go f*** themselves, every time I coughed.
The price! I was shocked.
I noticed the smoke from the fires in the background. What a fun place to stay!
Excellent that Tim. 😊 Great vlog, as ever. Hope you’re feeling better now too. Xx
I love Trixie! This was my favorite video!
That room was very Golden Girls and i loved it
The episode I've been waiting for!
This was not on my bingo card today, the crossover with Trixie is great. Super jelly! 💕
Brilliant video Tim! I hope you are feeling better now ❤️ We really appreciate your fantastic work my friend
The colour scheme reminds more of Miami Vice than Barbie, though.
I am so sorry you were sick. Nothing worse than not being in one’s own bed when illness strikes. Thank you for showing this. It reminds me of the a hotel in Vancouver BC across from St. Paul’s hospital. Please check out Vancouver and Vancouver Island if you are needing new destination ideas. Best wishes from Ladysmith BC
I go to Palm Springs every year and never heard of the Trixie Motel I love this Motel I will check it out the next time I go! Thankyou for sharing.
The Trixie Motel is adorable!
I have to say this was my very favorite motel/hotel stay. I loved everything. I want to book a week-end soon (I'm in southern California..)
Literally never heard of Trixie Motel. Very pink!
You didn’t mention Trixie Mattel the famous Drag Queen who the entire Motel is based on.
I thought that,., she dies makes tutorials and had a cosmetic line..
Just love watching your videos truck driver from Pensacola Florida
Awesome thank you!
I really liked this place. I would be right at home here as pink is my favourite colour too.
It’s like Barbie’s house on steroids
For those who don't know:
Trixie Mattel is a famous drag queen. If you've ever heard of RuPaul's Drag Race, she's probably the most well-known and successful contestant from that show. Known for comedy and country music. This whole motel is themed around queer culture- for instance, Pink Flamingos is a famous John Waters film starring legendary drag queen Divine, hence the name and theme of this room. And yes, her name is a reference to Barbie, but the Motel isn't just Barbie themed. The gift shop is because she has her own merch line and cosmetics so people do visit the Motel to get fan merch outside of staying over.
Ah, the John Waters films with Divine - I remember them having a bit of a revival in late 80s, and they're regarded as cult movies now. The most mainstream one is Hairspray (I preferred his original with Divine, Ricky Lake and Debbie Harry). His films were were a lot of fun but definitely not for the faint-hearted!
Traveling with Tim while I prepare for a Florida hurricane! What a way to start my day 😂
Very interesting hotel. Yes, i would be interested in staying at the hotel. Thank you for sharing your stay at this hotel. I didn't know this existed.
What a delightful place and video. Thank you.🦩🦩🦩
Well, this is another one you've ticked on my Dream Bucket List, Tim! I first saw Trixie Mattel on RuPaul's Drag Race, which was where I fell in love with her kind nature & excellent sense of humour. She's a unique personality which brings gravitas to her drag...but that's enough fan-girling 😂 I loved this video & have been a fan of your channel for nearly a year. Hope you get well soon! Lots of love & blessings to you & to your lovely family 🦩🩷🦩🩷🦩
Ohhhhhh ...thats my absolute fave !!!! .....that looks like my happy place in my dreams ....what a fabulous idea for a motel ...its just beautiful....i cant stop smiling ...thank you Tim ....
Hope you are feeling better and thanks for this beauty!! Loved it!!
Beautiful calming room. One must wonder if the modern interior designs of bland boring colours in homes is directly contributing to our lack of genuinely good moods.
The pretty calming colours certainly make you smile. A happy place starts with happy colours❤
Tim, are you aware of The Magic Castle Hotel in Hollywood? Staying there is basically the only way to get an invite to The Magic Castle, a private club for professional magicians and magic enthusiasts (the only other way to attend the Magic Castle's meal and shows is to be invited by a member). The club experience is so fabulous that by itself it would be a great reason to visit the hotel, but the hotel has STUNNINGLY amazing guest services, and I say that as someone who worked for 20 years in 4-star luxury boutique hotels. If you're going to places like the Trixie, you need to visit the Magic Castle Hotel and the club the next time you're in LA. Or maybe even extend this current trip...
I stayed at that hotel when I was in Los Angeles in 2003, I had a room facing The Magic Castle, so I'd see limos coming and going at the Magic Castle. The Magic Castle Hotel was pretty simple at least at the time, the room was apartment style with kitchen and the hotel had no food services on site at all, so you needed to either use the kitchen in the room, or get takeout or go to restaurants to get your nutritional needs met. Pretty interesting layout of the hotel as well with a garage for guest cars, stairs up to the reception area that then lead out to the pool and then you had like stairs and outdoor "corridors" to get to many of the rooms. It was more like an apartment building with pool, than a traditional hotel in style. It's the only hotel I've stayed at in USA so I can't compare it with other hotels over there, but I did have a pretty good stay there, even though I did feel a little bit uneasy about being on the ground floor and having concerns around gun violence in general. Luckily had no incidents, but yeah, I just did not feel super safe in USA...
@@ReyOfLight- Definitely not a standard US hotel; it was a former apartment complex converted into a hotel. The rooms themselves are still extremely basic today (though large and comfortable), but it's the perks and customer service which are extraordinary: sparkling wine at check in, a Coke Freestyle machine and an ice cream machine in the pool area for guests to help themselves, free continental breakfast, free unlimited full-sized chips, candies, and other snacks on demand at the front desk, free guest laundry access AND free laundry service (depending on length of stay), pool-side G-rated magician who performed certain mornings for breakfast, free espresso machine drinks, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few freebies, too. And no damn resort fees. Being able to access a Magic Castle show as a non-connected non-member is 100% the reason to stay at the Magic Castle Hotel, but all the little service grace notes were just AMAZING, and again I say that as someone who's been in luxury hotels for 20 years explaining our infuriating resort fee every day and posting $8.82 bottles of water to people's bills. The MCH was just an extraordinary experience - both in contrast to "regular" hotels and in gaining access to an LA institution that would otherwise be totally closed to the public.
I remember you were starting that cold after the terrible BA flight. BA strikes again!
WOW. I'm an American subscriber but I rarely comment. BUT THIS WAS FUN!!!
Oh wow I love it. Pink and Pastels is my Favorite. Definitely love this room❤. So bright and adorable. I also love the pool looks like in the Barbie world. Wish I can stay here someday. Hope you feel better soon Tim. Stay safe
never ever thought i would watch a grown man staying alone in a barbie themed motel but here we are haha. i enjoyed it. so lovely themed wowy! i get the horror movie vibes too. the private backyard is cozy. 600+ is crazy tbh.
That hotel looks sooo good 😍 I love the pink
Great video! Feel better!
Yeah after watching Phycho, nothing will ever convince me stay in a motel lol. The pink brick walls are nice though and I really like the brass detail on some of the furniture/fixings and gadgets. I loved the white garden furniture, that was really lovely especially the char and the fuchsia pink cushion. It’s a bit too bubblegum pink, like someone threw up a strawberry milkshake lol. It’s oversaturated and a bit sickly especially with the Hyacinth Bucket style wallpaper. If they scaled back the pink, added more white and nice rustic wooden floors, I think it would look a lot better but that’s my cup of tea.
Pink is my favourite colour! This is like my dream hotel lol
This is a beautiful hotel!
❤ PS. We also got complaints from neighbours at a different motel. I think they could actually hear us breathing. Great motel. Expensive tho.
I'm not a pink loving person` but I agree with you Tim, That Pastel Pink really goes well in the room. Not sure about the green bath though lol
My wife and daughter would definitely like a stay at this Motel, very much their kind of thing.
It's definitely a Mommy-Daughter date kind of place. I thought the same thing. My daughter would LUVVA LUVVA LUVV this so much❤ We could spend a week there😂 then go home and remodel the house like that 😂🎉❤
Wow very pink but at least it was clean n tidy & thanks for sharing Tim 😎🏝️
It is very telling when room rates in a lot of big and well-known luxury hotels/chains are a lot higher yet are unable to keep the room as clean and fresh as the smaller establishments, such as the Trixie.
Loved the Trixie Motel. Your flamingo suite was gorgeous. Looked like a wonderful experience was had in palm springs Tim.. 🌴 👌
Lovely to see I spotless hotel👍👍👍👍. Get well. Take tonic Tim
I hope you're feeling better by now. Love this hotel! Aren't you ever scared when you have a matrass encasement the bedbugs are there and you just won't know? They could still be in the carpet and might end up crawling into your suitcase.....
What a cool hotel. Love the colour pink
That certainly wouldn't appeal to me in the slightest, especially for the extortionate cost to stay there. All that sickly pink and tacky love hearts everywhere, Yuk! Puke making.
Loved this video, do pray you feel better soon x
The place doesn't appeal to me especially at that price, though I'd pay a little extra to have a room that clean! The thin walls would be a big turnoff.
Palm Springs is such a pretty desert town. And I love that room!
As always nice pink video mate.
Another amazing post!! Look at that old fridge!! Love the custom wallpaper and the pool. the plug in deodorizers would prob bug me. Best, from Colorado!
Fridge was new. They can make them look like that now.
What an awesome hotel. I love it. Pink is my favorite color. Of course getting my hubby to stay would be interesting, but I love it.
This is straight up nicer than that penthouse in Dubai with the water heaters that didn't work lol...
Looks fabulous ❤
This place luks amazing, like a movie set
