I would say give yourself two days to do it. Nice and easy one day to take it off and one day to put it back on. Thanks for watching really appreciate it
I would prefer Luk or Sachs dont go fitting anything else Also dont buy from ebay. You can buy luk or Sachs from ebay but for some reason not the best maybe grade b or something. Local spare shop will be the best. Another place is Auto doc there not to bad hope that helps
recently bought my audi a3 and clutch was done less then 5 months ago but the original owner only paid to replace clutch not flywheel idiot would i be ok to just replace flywheel or recommended to replace whole lot again? don't understand why he made the decision lol
Do I have to remove the passenger side axle flange to drop the trans? Mine is stuck, 6mm bolt stripped but it’s the only thing left before I can get trans out. Wondering if I can wedge the gearbox off without removing it?
i have a A3 2.0 tdi quattro , audi diagnosed a "bad flywheel", among a million small things as well (not my concern at the moment) they want 2.5 k to repair (almost died when i heard the number). So when I'm starting the car I'm hearing a kind of metallic noise specially when the car is warm, I've change the battery cause it was old, the metallic noise went down a bit. also i feel a bit of vibration on 4th gear only. Is this could be fly wheel? starter? or cutch? thanks cool vid
To be honest it dose sound like the FLYWHEEL, but also get the Alternator Clutch pulley checked or replaced because it's not that expensive to Replace that. Might be AC COMPRESSORS, but most likely am going with FLYWHEEL, or Alternator clutch pulley, but its Madness £2500 for a clutch and flywheel Replacement wow. That too much max I would say £1000
@@TEAMR4ULTV actually I did check alternator charging test came out as low. Ya a friend actually charge me 1k with a sachs parts. i would check that mate thanks very helpful !!!
Al be honest just look it up on Autodata. But to be honest I use a breaker bar and just do it tight as I can but if you want the torque setting bear with me
Bro good job 👍. Can i replace DMF to solid flywheel? Will it be any problem after installation? Some garage says, wouldn’t be any problem may be will make vibrating or shake. Let me know please
Excellent upload, what would you charge for complete clutch/DMF replacement (supplied & fitted) on an Audi A4 B8 2.0tdi 2009. I'm in Cheshire so not far, many thanks!
Thanks for watching really appreciate it. I would go with LUK OR SACHS please be aware dont buy off ebay because even if it says LuK or Sachs the quality from online is not the best. Pay that little extra and buy from a reliable parts shop. If your in uk I recommend GSF in uk
To be honest it's not a very hard job just lots of things to take off. If your a mechanic non stop working on it takes me about 1h to take it off about 2hs to put it back together, if your attempting it for 1st time give your self easy 4 to 5hs Also it's very HEAVY
You should’ve cleaned it all before you put it back on,Cowboy Work. Wouldn’t let you work on my car!!! You haven’t even mentioned the torque settings. Bang them back on 😂 There all nice & tight 😂😅😅
It's not an official 'how to' from Audi! 99% of workshops do not torque every bolt unless it's something critical like headbolts, cam bolts, wheel bearings nuts/bolts etc. It's an experience thing that becomes intuitive. I think you are one of those customers that run back to the garage to accuse them of messing the brakes up after a squeeling noise when they've only fitted a bulb 😂
Great video. I would say I have a big average DIY skills. How many hours roughly would I budget for the job ?

When your replacing dmf . Do you have to replace to clutch ?
Yes I would replace the clutch
@@TEAMR4ULTV thats sad because i just replaced the dmf but I didn’t replace the clutch ☹️🤦🏽♂️
@@Cocovlog283 you would have had to take the clutch off to replace the DMF should have replaced. Hopefully clutch has got many more miles left in it.

You could but will be a little struggle but can be done

It should be similar, if it's the petrol one it should be even simpler
