@@bobm8637 Try to learn the song step by step. You don´t need to learn all the different fingerstyle techniques, that are in some arrangements. Start with only the melody and simple fingerpicking, the percussion comes after that. And the most important thing is to keep on going. Don´t give up even if it´s hard but it takes time to build the muscle memory you need. I´m sure you will be able to perform your song perfectly soon, just keep on going :)

@@rickgrimes47 Thank you very much. Well when I started I sometimes played for 4 to 5 hours a day but now it depends on what I am doing. When I´m arranging songs or practicing my arrangements, I do play for 3 to 4 hours a day but normally between 1 and 2 hours. Not only practicing but also freestyling and playing whatever comes to my head.

I just came back from having a smoke and a beer. I watched your video again. I only have 2 or 3 cigarettes a year. I only light one up for a special event. Listening to you was definitely a special event. Even my Dog loves your music. I could tell by the look on her face.

Wow! So often one misses the vocals/lyrics in an instrumental piece. NOT in this case! This felt complete. And effortless, whereas the vocals in "See you again" kinda put me off with their intensity and strain. This flowing rendition was for me a canvas that gave me the freedom to interpret it with whatever emotion I preferred to at the time. The light touch, the rippling notes and sections of fuller strumming with bass notes - and I'm feelng cheerfully content. Then the tempo slows right down, and individual high treble notes are picked... hmmmm, pause the warm and fuzzies and reflect a bit here perhaps... then it moves on but at a pace and with a tone that I can choose to stay a little sombre or I can move up the emotional scale. Whereas the vocal version dictates I be melancholy and anxious. In a nutshell, I like the balance and the choice you give us Guus! Bravo, merry Christmas and best wishes for you and your guitar journey in 2022 - I'm blown away to see youonly started playinh 8 years ago - gives me hope! :-)
