Japanese Metal legends!...The Japanese female bands get all the love these days but in their heyday, SMG was huge. They still perform occasionally in one form or another but this type of Metal is not really a thing anymore, especially to younger generations. Please do more!

Thanks for the reaction guy's, the first time I ever heard of them the lead singer and the bass player were on a Japanese TV show that Saki from Mary's Blood and Nemophila was also on. I went and checked them out I loved their show!

This is one of Kimi's, Bridear's vocalist favorite bands. The guitarist has done a few songs with the idol group Fruit Pochette including the songs called "Cleverdick" and "蒼天-Paradox". Fruit Pochette formed in 2012, right about when Babymetal was started to see some fame.

Now there's a coincidence. I was chatting online with a Melbourne based mate who lived and worked in Japan from the 1990s to early 2000s. I mentioned watching the recent Band-Maid streamed concert from Yokohama Arena, and he said he had seen The Who there, and Bon Jovi at the Budokan, which must have been awesome. He also said "...some of the bands popular when I lived in Japan were: Ramjet Pulley, Bump of Chicken & the Sex Machineguns. [the names are] a bit like the meaningless English language T shirts you see there." 😅

Sex Machineguns took their name from the Sex Pistols but since they were a heavier band they felt they needed more "Firepower" so they changed the second part of the name to Machineguns...
