President Monson Honored for Legacy of Love, Service

- Thousands of people gathered in the Conference Center on Temple Square in Salt Lake City on Friday, January 12, 2018, for the funeral of President Thomas S. Monson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The man revered by Mormons as a prophet of God died in Salt Lake City January 2, 2018, at age 90 from causes incident to age. Tens of thousands around the world watched the funeral proceedings live in nearly 30 languages on LDS.org and other media channels, as well as on the Church satellite system.
“Our sorrow is assuaged by the Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. His bitter cup makes our bereavement bearable,” said President Russell M. Nelson, president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. “President Monson never sought the limelight,” said President Nelson. “In a world now saturated with ‘selfies,’ he modeled selflessness. … He gave his own time to visit, bless, and love others. Even in his waning season, he continued to minister, making frequent visits to hospitals and senior centers.”

I think of the Saviour when I witness the process of glorification and the growing subtle faith in the arm of flesh, especially when you realize it is the actual glorification of individuals own flesh that is the truth. No man knows another's heart and all will be judged without unrighteous input. There has been a growing trend in the church of fanfare and the pulpit praising of our dead. When we place our faith in prophets priests and kings we lack faith in the Saviour. (first faith in the Lord Jesus Christ) President Monson put his pants on like any other man and was only a prophet while being a prophet he had weaknesses like all worthy men and battled with his dark side like all faithful men need, more especially as time refines our understanding, if not we can never retain humility or ever attain to the higher levels of charity. President Monson was not good, perfect or a righteous man, ( it would be wrong to judge otherwise, for there is only one who is) and many who have had close dealings with him will attest to that. The Savior suffered mockery and brutal spite and was placed to rest shamefully.when we witness the behaviors of the latter moments of the days of Noah we need to be reminded there are very few and they will be far apart who will see the subtle mockery of our Saviour.We pray for President Monson's salvation and let the dead bury the dead.When I see a prophet lying in a public praised state dropped in the robes of the world it truly testifies to me how lost many have become within.

The Catholic church holds in the Vatican in Rome scriptures that only they have seen the "Gospel" Book of Mormon is missing so much.
