If the topics build on each other you can’t really do that. Also, some exams are structured in a way that questions of the same topic are together. Maybe this gives better retention tho, never tried it
The reason is because sometimes it's easier to do things when you take a break from it and come back. However, I feel like it wouldn't help much if you're still studying.
@@NerdyMystic09 True. It feels like more “I’m not feeling this topic so I’ll come back to it later” and not some revolutionary technique to get perfect scores
One of the reasons it works is probably training your brain for task switching. Normally you will have trouble switching between different topics quickly unless you practice it. A jeopardy champion absolutely destroyed the game by learning in this way because he could jump around the board to get all the topics high value questions before everyone else could get to them.
doing it like this should still benefit you more though…if they all build on each other. Studying a bit of each and recycling back through, you’ll be able to actually see how they connect, the interactions, HOW / where/why they are building upon each other.. which in turn will actually help you grasp the individual concepts/modules by themselves, in a much deeper way than memorization. It would help you ACTUALLY understand and learn it (and hopefully all of the modules individually entirely as well)… idk I think the fact they build on each other makes this perfect, no? Especially if you’ve already learned the stuff and sort of seen the connections and how they work. If it’s ur first time seeing the content then no😂 this won’t work. You’d need to go through one by one
If you would have posted this video this morning I might have been ready for my history test but now I’ve already written the exam😃 really good tips though, thanks for making my school life easier, your advice really works!💪🏽
Sound like he dodged a bullet. He isn’t ur friend because he got a good exam grade and is feeling confident and good about his intelligence?💀💀 weird. U sound like a hater or a bit jealous or inferior… Does he not get good exam grades very often? Sounds like it. But If not tho, then you should be EXTRA HAPPY for him ! And can understand why he feels a bit better about himself than usual. Celebrate ur friends successes. Without feeling like it has anything to do with you. Or that ur worse if they’re “good”. U should do this automatically… If u don’t, then there is some underlying issues like insecurity, envy, etc. love is being happy when good things happen to those we love. Maybe it’s best for him y’all aren’t friends tbh. Ur shooting him down even… from a good moment. Even if he IS being a little arrogant about it, he deserves that for a bit and shouldn’t b shamed for it ! His confidence got boosted he was happy, he succeeded… u didn’t like his reaction and now you’re no longer friends with him and posting about it/him on TH-cam. Probably jus don’t make up or be friends anymore wth😂💀💀🤦
i do this unconsciously bc i get bored of topic A and then go to topic B and then get bored AGAIN and i go back to topic A bc i dont feel good if i dont finish studying in it repeat until done💀
Also known as “spaced repetition”, it has been shown to improve recollection and memorizing of topics, such as chapters in a textbook, And even phrases in a new language.
This is great but it I wouldn’t suggest it for classes such as History, chemistry etc. that requires you to know specific dates, goes with a timeline and makes you build up onto the information you learned with every chapter or unit. It can confuse you a lot.
ok i’m seeing a loooot of these shorts on my feed recently and i always look for study tips to help with exams but…all these study tips are just to help with memorising the information you have to learn? like surely the learning of the content is the easiest part??
As a 10 year old that skipped 3 grades in the same year, I am glad your channel exists. I literally dont understand how the hell I'm supposed to study efficiently.
@ThatOneEmoji If one's level is higher then that of what their learning then they can ask the principal to skip a grade. Tho i dont know if all schools do that.
My tip is this Steps 1.read through the topic 2.highlight important facts 3.write them down on a piece of paper 4.read through your notes 5. Flip the page and copy it down to the best of your memory 6. Check your re-copy 7. Revise the key points in your head 8. Before repeating the next day for a different topic, repeat step 7 , 5 mins before the next topic. This helped me get 98 on history so happy studying!
History is quite easy but super long and just boring I got a 66/75 in it the only subject which I’m trying hard on is maths my previous grades in maths were 89/100 and I need to start trying harder-
Yeah but then I always mix up the topics and think something’s in the other topic but instead it was the other one It becomes absolute chaos after that Any ideas on how to fix that? 😅
A straight ‘A’ student here. I’ve sometimes had problems with having my concepts mixed up. It’s first important to know what the topic is and means, and the difference of it from Topic 2. Some topics will obviously overlap because they connect, writing a tad bit extra knowledge as long as main points are covered and maximum word limit is not passed isn’t going to a problem. In the end if it’s something that has to be learned or memorised you will just have to keep learning it till you get it right.
I have a great tip note down all the topics (including sub topic) as a list and answer it as a question for example the topic is natural resources and you define what is natural resources and understand it
Yo Gohar this is actually a fire tip. I had an electricity quiz about 1 month ago which covered 2 topics and I completely failed it (40%) because I studied each topic individually on the NIGHT before the quiz. I got a Electricty Unit Test in about 2 classes or so and I’m gonna follow your method of interleaving. I hope it works. I’ll come back to tell yall my grade and test out if this method actually works.
