  • I mentioned lists. I thought they'd be short but it turns out they are VERY long. Instead, I made a web app. All you have to do is punch in the model number.
    computek272.cal...
If you can't access that link, here's a mirror on a different server:
    ctstudents.smcc...
Heh heh, i'm kinda surprised nobody noticed that I changed the font on the title sequence! The first few titles are in Kabel, and the last one is in Highway (DOT Standard font for road signs on the united states highway network)

13:06 I like how the Federal Signal horns plates and I strobe are highly customizable so you can change the appearance whatever you want before actually setting it up on the wall and connecting it to whatever control box like for example, if you wanna have remote strobe connected to a play if you wanna have it with a horn you can connect to the horn or if you want to transparent I strobe you can swap out the fused, one with a transparent i strobe
And if one of your Federal Signal i strobes burn out, doesn’t matter swap it

    • @redstonecommander5190
      @redstonecommander5190 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

In these federal horns and strobes are really good starter fire alarms because you can just easily set them up in your own home as long as you purchase a fire alarm control box, and annunciator first before starting off with your own fire, alarms, smoke detectors, and more. So you mean with the shop around before you settle down

Lol the difference between 2 and 4 wire isn’t how fast they sound. 2 wire means that the horn and strobe are combined onto one 2 wire circuit and requires synch for audible silence. 4 wire means that the horn and strobe are on their own circuits and require separate power.

      in case yours still wondering:
      1. he got them from some Fire Alarm forums, by trading, or from second hand reseller websites like Ebay.
      2. he wired up most of the system by himself (i think). i’m assuming this because in multiple videos that “i added into the system and ran a cable under the walkway to the garage” or likewise.
      hope this help!

9:15 this isn't a problem if you have a Simplex 4905-9938 Sync Module but ALL Simplex Alarms except the AC ones need a panel that puts out DC or a power supply of some sort. FWR will kill Simplex.

My favorite notification appliances are speaker strobes because they can be used more than for fire alarm such purposes such as tornado warning, a lockdown alarm, background music, or even a PA for announcements. They require an external audio source such as a voice evac panel, require a deeper box to accommodate the loudspeaker and transformer, and are more expensive which are the cons of it.

Interesting how most federal signal alarms are 4 wire if they have a Vals strobe or a I strobe on top, vs my 450D C2 is 2 wire with the Val’s strobe because it is soldered on to the alarm.
I might just need to snip the wires to the strobe in half and use wire nuts instead to wire it so that I can take the strobe someplace elsewhere.

Nice! My first fire alarm is a Spectralert PC2W that I got back in 2013, though I never got to continue the collection. I once almost got an old non-working Simplex 2903 light plate with a big bell attached to it from a school I used to go to and I even got to held it once and it had quite the weight to it likely from the bell, but it ended up being repaired and sent to another school which is still good.

If I understand correctly, the way that the horns are wired is:
    2-wire: simply 24V and GND.
4-wire: 24V and GND for horn, and 24V and GND for strobe.
    Is this correct?

I did not mean to put a question mark after the fourth sentence. Do pull stations include the key to reset it or do u have to buy it?

I bought a Truealart Strobe and forgot about the stupid voltage thing. Wired it up. And when I pulled the station something blew in the circuit board. I think I gave it to much power because when I opened it up a little tiny box type thing that was near the screw terminals was the thing that blew..... is there a way I can take voltage down? Also can I fix the blowout?
