    Another trick to keep the empty hangers from clanging: bunch them together and drape a towel through them.

    You know what would be a cool feature on a cruise.... A lazy river that goes around the entire ship (preferably around the outer edge so you can view the ocean).

    1:22:02?! Sorry, I don't have the time or patience. ;-) We're simple cruisers and prefer the older ships without the bells and whistles, but I'm sure that people who are thinking of cruising on the Wonder of Seas will watch and be thankful. I did watch a full tour of a ship we are booked on in the future on another line than our Carnival tradition. Keep up the good work!

    I really liked the two-closet set up. One for my wife and one for her shoes. :-) The cabin is really one of the best designs I've seen. More storage than almost any cabin of the same size.

    I sure hope you and Don have a fabulous time! And glad Jenny is feeling better. She's smart not to push herself when she's under the weather.
    I would NOT want a balcony over looking Central Park and neighbors.
    Thanks for the tour!!!

    RC will provide an extension cord and distilled water for your CPAP at no extra cost. You just need to fill out a form before the cruise.

    The ship looks fantastic. Thanks for the tour. Personally I am starting to enjoy smaller ships. I have been on many of large ships and they hold to many passengers for me.

    I am probably in the minority, but I have no desire to cruise on one of these mega ships. I cruise to relax and unwind. These ships with big crowds, numerous food venues (many of which are difficult to reserve), shows that often are sold out, huge distances to get anywhere, etc. seem to offer anything but a relaxing vacation. If I were younger (much younger), perhaps I would feel differently. I only hope that the cruise lines will not send their older and smaller ships to the scrap heap; some of us are still looking forward to sailing on them.

    Fellow offspring fan! Good to hear your using a CPAP. Too many folks need one and avoid using them. That's a life threatening choice. Most ships carry distilled water for the CPAP machines. We carry a non-surge powerstrip so we can run a cord from the vanity to the bed. Can't wait till it's common to have a plug in beside the bed.

    Pretty soon, these ships will be about the only places we'll be able to find anything close to the glory days of malls. These ships a are freaking massive! Central Park looks amazing! I do like how the ships are kind of doing away with many of the inboard cabins, and providing sky access to more cabins, with the new architectural designs. Not sure I like that the neighbors across the way can look right into your cabin, if you're not careful. LOL I did see where some of the inboard cabins now offer a virtual porthole screen. Very cool. Thanks for sharing! :)

    It's a very attractive looking ship, with the few passengers that were visible in your video. I don't think I would care for it with over 6000+ passengers to compete with. We probably would never sail on a cruise ship this size, mainly because it is too many people.

      I'm thinking that the Wonder cruises will become less expensive when the hoopla turns to the Icon class... then I will book Wonder... right now, it's just too expensive..

    • @susanlieberman9012
      @susanlieberman9012 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We were on the Wonder in April and it was really expensive but worth it. We booked again for May 2023 and it was $2000 less for the 3 of us. You just have to keep checking prices or have a good travel agent that does. Usually we don't go on a ship during the first year because of the pricing.

    • @arikirsch8168
      @arikirsch8168 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sometimes it works the opposite way, too.. we booked our cruise on the Carnival Celebration earlier in the year, and our Ocean Suite’s price has more than doubled since… we also sailed the Celebrity Apex this year and the price was more reasonable than last year… I usually wait a year for the processes to be worked out and a newer ship to launch..

    Magnetic bathroom door hack: fold a small towel lengthwise and thread it through the each door handle. Use a clothespin if wrapping it in the handle does not hold well enough. The door won't be as hard to open or loud slamming shut.

    Great video and so thorough! We were on the Wonder from November 20 to December 4. 2 weeks. We were supposed to get off the ship and get on the Jewel Nov 27, but because of the delay of the Wonder getting back to Canaveral, the Jewel had left so we stayed on. The huge ship was packed Thanksgiving week, I mean shoulder to shoulder, elevators jammed, shows completely filled. It is beautiful and enormous but can still feel confining with so many people. BTW, there is another astronaut on the port aft climbing wall. I heard there were four hidden but I only found three. Thanks!
