One thing you are really missing about heavy furnaces is space. I used to have to put tons of furnaces in the quarry. Now I’m good with 9 in a U in my farmhouse. I’m never behind on ore now.
I agree, i have 10 heavy and 5 normal ones (for the leftovers) in the forge corner of my house. Not even talking about the coal saving and the chance for an extra bar i think its totally worth it
as a skull cavern finatic, mining mastery is my number 1 because i can sell so many iridium bars and make tons of money (with lot less waiting time compared to crops)
1. Mining +1 ore blessing is basically best possible boost for skull caverns. No damage from bombs is counterproductive as you lose your invulnerability from using explosive ammo. Heavy furnaces save coal and TIME. 2. Farming Scythe is great. Statue is cool but a bit too random. Animal cookies go to rabbits to get more feet. 3. Combat Fairy trinket makes you invulnerable. Other trinkets are useless. Frog is cute. 4. Foraging It's not fishing 5. Fishing It's fishing. Great at the beginning of the game. Useless after first year.
Fishing has a fringe case use because of challenge bait. You combine that with Qi's fishing challenge and a high end fishing set-up, get a bunch of legendary fish to smoke and sell it for a few hundred thousand gold. Sure it relies on Artisan to fully shine but it's a decent end game money maker, I'd place fishing above foraging. Mining is just uncontested number one though I can't disagree, the dwarf statue is just way too useful for skull cavern diving, the amount of money it generates is insane.
Look, on the surface the mining stuff is bad, but the statue and the furnace easily make you have the money for perfection in two or three seasons, it requires a lot of skill, but it is quite possible, As you said, it's not your style of play, and there's nothing wrong with that, Stardew is a sandbox, but it's worth testing the strategy, It's really fun
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas 🎄! Sorry if the audio is a bit low sometimes, I was testing out a new mic 😅

Heavy furnaces are great when you get an extra radioactive bar. Definitely not boring.

I dont know about fishing. You can generate tons of Coins everyday with fishponds. A Legendary Fishpond makes so much f*cking money its unreal. ❤
@@sakuranakamura1814Fishponds benefit from Farming Mastery, not Fishing Mastery
