I'm born n raised in New Jersey but loved the rockies and remembered my uncle watching him play as a kid I love and appreciate everything he did for the rockies
I will always remember the roar of the crowd at when he came to bat, and those opening notes of "Crazy Train" as he walked into the box. You knew danger was at the plate. I could not be happier for him. It's only a shame it took as long as it did to get him in.
It's absolutely awesome that they got Justin Morneau to narrate this. Walker's induction is absolutely HUGE for the chances of Todd Helton and Nolan Arenado to make it in one day.
Now don’t trade Nolan and you can have a second Hall of Famer in your clubs history, or third if Helton makes it. But seriously, DON’T TRADE NOLAN AND BUILD A TEAM THAT CAN ACTUALLY WIN
He wasn’t a first ballot hall of famer due to not having any counting stats, I.e 3000 hits or 500 homeruns but 10 years was too long to wait. Great 5 tool player and did it the right way. Congrats from a Yankees fan
I have always liked Larry Walker. He was a hitting machine before he ever got to Coors field.Coors field just turned him into a real beast at home.He did not cheat to do it. He played in the stadium that MLB approved. Unfortunately for Larry Walker he and his team had to deal with one of the most powerful pitching combos in baseball history. His team just could not get through Atlanta. The Braves pitchers figured out a way to pitch at Coors field.I would say any pitcher that pitch for the Rockies in Coors field should get a automatic ride into the HOF if they piccth there for a few years.Atlanta use to be the Launching pad....Coors Field was the launching pad on Steroids.Congratulations Mr Walker!
Larry had high altitude which made the ball travel approximately 7-8% further. The rest of his opposition had steroids which made all their stats just explode. Larry played fair and he was a natural 5-tool player. He didn’t need steroids like the rest of the players at the time.
Larry Walker reminds of players like Will Clark, Don Mattingly, Frank White, Ruben Sierra. Juan Gonzales, Joe Carter, Albert Belle, Chuck Knoblauch, Gary Gaetti, Darryl Strawberry, Devon White, Andruw Jones, David Justice......with an honorable mention to Wally Joyner. All good players, sprinkled with some epic seasons/moments. All are memorable. But I just don't see him and the above mentioned as HOF level.

Always liked Larry Walker. He was a very good hitter and he always hit the Phillies. Congratulations Larry you deserve this honor.
The hay days in Colorado when we all had #33 jerseys in both baseball & hockey
Congrats Larry Walker!!!!! 🍾 It's about time!! Hopefully this opens the door for more Rockies!! ⚾️🌄
Love that Morneau concentrated on the sabermetrics. Terrific video, and a well-deserved HOFer.

todd got announced for induction today!!!
I remember 97 him and tony g racing for batting 400
About dang freaking time!!
Congratulations Larry Walker!!!
Great video! Morneau asked Larry if he could wear the 33 for the Rockies... Both players are class acts

😬
@@fuccckckkkkckkck yeah.....
Best baseball player i ever seen and also my most favorite, so glad he chose colorado as his second home😃
HE BEAT STERIODS!
Jayson Jelly Leap frogged Bonds, Clemens, and Schilling to get into Cooperstown on his last year of eligibility . Classic!
Oh sweet is that!!
Little news regarding "leap frog" over juicers.
Well put.

“And that’s ballpark adjusted,” gotta love those C**** Field haters 😂
Probably those who voted for or advocated for Bonds and Clemens.
Despite the fact his numbers were better away than at Coors.

LArry Walker Hit in 1997−99, .314/.410/.592 ... away from Coors Field.
🇨🇦 REPRESENT
Anyone who hits a walk off home run off of John Rocker is an automatic first ballot hall of famer, end of discussion.
