Bette Gordon's seminal feminist underground classic 'VARIETY' is returning to UK cinemas from August 11th 2023.
Reimagining the neo-noir genre through the eyes of a ticket-seller at an adult cinema, this is a film about looking and being looked at and features icons of 1980s NYC downtown: written by punk author Kathy Acker, shot by Living in Oblivion director Tom DiCillo, with music by composer John Lurie, and co-starring Will Patton, Luis Guzmán, Cookie Mueller and photographer Nan Goldin.
