Shepard's pie is a staple in our French Canadian family. Instead of cheese on top, we've always made it with cream corn on top and peas mixed in with the meat. So yummy! Also, I absolutely love watching your videos every evening. Your family is so lovely!

My favourite cottage pie is stewing beef, peas, carrots, corn, green beans mixed all together with brown gravy. Topped with chunky garlic mash and cheddar cheese. Its soo good.

Falon, those country ham biscuits sure brought back memories. My Grandma would make them whenever we visited with grits and red eye gravy. They always had a cured country ham in their pantry. Little late but for my Shepherd's pie, ground beef, mushrooms and onion cooked. Add canned pinto beans and golden mushroom soup. Potatoes and cheese on top. I do season the ground beef as cooking with favorite spices.
We grew up calling it shepard pie as well.🥧 Seasoned ground beef, which sometimes now to give it a little extra flavor I will add some brown gravy to it before adding to the casserole dish, drained corn, then I will vary my potatoes - I will do sour cream, garlic, or just simple mashed potatoes. Too help make the top extra delicious I will add some pats of butter and it seeps into the potatoes and makes them brown up real nice and I love adding cheese to the top as well, yum!!!! 👩🍳

I brown and drain the ground chuck. Then I saute chopped onion and minced garlic in the ground beef. Then I put frozen peas and carrots in the ground beef mixture. Sprinkle some Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper, mix the ground beef mixture together. Then I sprinkle the beef mixture on the bottom of sprayed baking dish. Top with mashed potatoes, sprinkle with shredded sharp cheddar cheese all over the mashed potatoes. Bake in 350 degree oven until cheese melts....Yum.
Highly recommend it layers of hamburger, potatoes, then cheese, but at times I roll out a can of crescent rolls on top of the cheese and bake it until it’s golden and it’s SO yummy!

Hello Falon, I noticed you make biscuits quiet often. I tried a real simple recipe I saw on the internet that only requires two ingredients. Even parts self rising flour and heavy cream. I was sceptical at first, but this way is quick, easy and delicious. So soft and fluffy. God Bless 😇🙏

I actually make a gravy in my ground beef using the grease, flour and some beef broth. So it's like mashed potatoes and gravy. In the potatoes I add sour cream, milk, chives, salt and pepper. Any veggies on hand go in the meat.
When I was young I had never heard of "sheppards pie". I did make a dish of meatloaf on the bottom, cook that for maybe 30 minutes. Then a layer of creamed corn, then a layer of mashed potatoes. Bake until the potatoes are toasty on top.
I cook the burger and add 1 can of tomato sauce to it. Then I put a layer of corn on the beef mixture. Then lots of creamy mashed potatoes mashed with cream and butter. Then I sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. It’s so yummy! I made it once with peas, carrots and beans. My husband hated it. Now I just make it the original way. 😂
You need to take those left over potatoes, and make some Potato pancakes. you can have them for breakfast with eggs and sausage or bacon. Yummy. Here's my recipe. one egg, 1/2 cup chopped onion, and 1 cup of self rising flour.

I always add some type of gravy to the meat, so it’s not to dry, and for something different I will use onions peppers and mushrooms instead of mixed veggies. Your family loves onions, maybe try the beef with onions and a little beef gravy mix and beef broth. I don’t use a whole cup just add liquid until I’m happy with the consistency.
When I do my shepherd's pie I add cheese to the mash potato and brown gravy mix to the meat and top it off with more cheese and some crispy fried onions crumbled lovely fab vlog btw xxx
Shepard's pie: cook hamburger with mushrooms then add peas and corn. Topped with mashed potatoes and cheese. Heated enough that the cheese is melted. So easy and delicious.

You need to take those left over potatoes, and make some Potato pancakes. you can have them for breakfast with eggs and sausage or bacon. Yummy. Here's my recipe. one egg, 1/2 cup chopped onion, and 1 cup of self rising flour.

I always add some type of gravy to the meat, so it’s not to dry, and for something different I will use onions peppers and mushrooms instead of mixed veggies. Your family loves onions, maybe try the beef with onions and a little beef gravy mix and beef broth. I don’t use a whole cup just add liquid until I’m happy with the consistency.

When I do my shepherd's pie I add cheese to the mash potato and brown gravy mix to the meat and top it off with more cheese and some crispy fried onions crumbled lovely fab vlog btw xxx
Shepard's pie: cook hamburger with mushrooms then add peas and corn. Topped with mashed potatoes and cheese. Heated enough that the cheese is melted. So easy and delicious.
