I am so BLOWN AWAY by the majesty that these guys evoke in their albums! This is the "Die Alone" of this album! This a great send off to Peter Steele (not that I know that it's meant as such, it just brings that to my mind).

jake, the artist formally known as roots You can't put AIC in sludge metal (only or as a whole). Sure, they have some songs that can be classified as sludge/doom metal ... but they have many songs not sludge/doom metal at all. You can't really put AIC in one (sub)genre, honestly.
AIC is classified as a mix of heavy metal, alternative metal, hard rock, alternative rock, sludge metal, doom metal, "grunge" (I don't like the term btw)...
