  • I have both these radios, and I am sure it is marketed under some other brands as well.
Nice solid build radio with 200 memories, large screen (for us older folk so it is easier to see!), good menu structure, rated at 10W (actual about 7W). Oddly similar to the 'newer" Baofengs (UV13Pro, TP-8Plus, GM-15, etc.), and also uses the same battery, which is USB C rechargeable!
These radios are CHIRP compatible as well as available CPS from their own manufacturers.

Nope Nope. I just spent 4 months jailbreaking a Retevis RA25. Setting up a working programing spreadsheet is almost as good as s#x. Programing everything back in and picking off store and factory radios both VHF & UHF. Railroad is boring except watching Canadian container yards (Marine can be a ball and a world of its own.) Chirp in Iowa shows police radios that are P25. Ham repeaters that the owners have been dead 15 years. A react gmrs repeater in waterloo that died in 2017 and nobody missed. Next radio/scanner will be digital compatible. Or better yet. Maybe I'll get a life.
