Uppi + Murali Mohan combination gave many hits like Tarle nan maga, Shh, Upendra, A, Om. But once they separated, Uppi cud not create the same magic later with his movies. I think MM gave lot of creative inputs which made the earlier film super hits.

Many of his movies were banned because of controversial issues like patriotism movie - Hindu(focused on hindutva- Upendra as Rama) , Kalki( focused on Gandhi assignation)
