I am so glad to see you starting the films of your 2024 summer! I look forward to them every year. Thank you, Mr. Fleming, for the hard work of making these films so enjoyable and relaxing.
Dear mr. Fleming, in my opinion you deserve an oscar. Watching your films, or may I say artwork, makes me always so happy. God bless you. Greetings from germany
I feel like I'm a passenger on Venture every time I watch one of your videos. The past few weeks haven't been the best, medically/mentally/financially, but seeing this video really brought a smile to my face and allowed me to escape reality for a short time. Thank you!
I hail from Kenya and I absolutely adore this channel. I happened to discover it by chance during the pandemic, and it truly helped me navigate that tough time. I appreciate the amazing and soothing videos you create!
YES! It's so good to hear from you again! I just started the hundredth replay of The First Step series, and here you are. Thank you so much for sharing your videos with us. We always look forward to them :)
Love your videos, Tony. And your boat designs! The prettiest in the water. I’m amazed at how tight some of your entrances are, yet you scoot right in and out. Thank you for your videos and boats, Tony. Safe travels and fair seas!
It's always a wonderful day when I see that you have posted another adventure. The added video from the other travelers was great, I especially enjoyed the stepped waterfall. Please add my thanks to your friends. I hope you continue to fascinate us with your venture.
I’m always a little nervous from calving when you can’t get away fast. Up there in May. Rain rain rain until we got to the glaciers. Sun came out and I talked and thanked god. It was so beautiful.
So interesting and informative to follow your wonderful cruising adventures, thrilling to see such beautiful scenery. Calming and serene, your commentary in beautifully cultured tones, add a wonderful ambience to the progress of your lovely boat Venture. Many thanks to you Tony and your family for sharing. Cheers Peter (UK).
wonderful, Mr. Fleming! beautiful videography, deeply atmospheric settings, and haunting music... truly enjoyable! looking forward to the next video. best wishes!
Amazing content as always. Never disappoints. If TH-cam has an award for award winning original content, I don't think anyone would disagree if they bestowed such an honor on your channel and your amazing catalogue of work. Thank you for everything you do.
I stopped watching a couple years ago, having watched most of your videos. I recently purchased a Delorme Atlas of Alaska, and though it was 2018, it is still easy to follow. Your showing the viewer the topo charts where you traveled, really make your videos better. I appreciate the videos because now I can better remember where is was in 1962--64, as a young college student earning tuition working on a 44-foot purse seine boat. We spent a lot of time around Chenega Island and Port Nellie Juan. In those days, 25-foot "Nellie Juan Boats" would often sink after catching too many salmon. Although our boat was not an Alaska limit boat, we were much bigger than the Native Nellie Juan boats. The most we ever caught in one day was 8000 humpies, dogs, and an occasional silver, and we had room for another couple thousand, while half of that would sing the native boats. There was one port that I've never been able to find--Port San Juan. It was a Phillipino camp for processing fish. Boats like us, the MV "Pat" from San Juan Island, Washington, would unload our fish onto flat-bottomed motorized scows, using one pronged pitchforks called pews. Then these scows would tie up at Port San Juan in the general Chenega Island area.. I have a good top map but not as good as a nautical chart, so could you tell me some way where that Port is? I haven't e-mailed you for a few years, but I'm now back to watching your fine videos. You once toured up the Columbia River and the Snake River to within 75 miles of where I live, which is farther up one of those those large Idaho rivers. Keep up the good work. I've never seen better landscape photography that yours. Probably a lot of viewers tell you that, but I can give you praise from someone who has really been to a lot of those places.
Interesting story. I looked on my Time Zero charts on my iPad but could not find anything called Port San Juan in the Chenega Island area. All the inlets seem to be called something-or-other Bay.
@@FlemingYachts You got me searching on the internet and I found a few things. The Armin K. Koernig Hatchery is located at Port San Juan on Evans Island, approximately 90 miles west of Cordova. The original hatchery was converted from an existing salmon cannery located on the site in 1974, and designated as a pink and chum salmon facility. Evans Island is due east of Bainbridge Island across Prince of Wales Passage. Looking at my topo map, I see that Port Aston is a mile away and I have a picture of both ports. And not far away Is the Ghost town of Latouche on Latouche Island in 1963, plus a beach and two shots of a deep blue colored glory hole. Water leached out copper ore. At that time, I was a college student majoring in geology. My dad a gold miner in Southern California taught me a lot about mining and processing so I knew about mining processing. While on the west side of Chichagof Island in Southeast Alaska, I visited an assay office and saw gold flakes on the walls. I still have quartz crystals, ore samples and assay documents. That was when gold was $34 an ounce. Of my 7 seasons in Alaska, I was on a family boat (I had named it when I was twelve and it entered the water near Friday Harbor, Wan Juan Island, Washington. ) My family was into discovery so I saw lots of interesting places. Of your many videos of SW Alaska, you talked of Prince of Wales Island. On my topo map it shows the northern part of Prince of Wales Island in the northern section of El Capitan Passage. I see an El Capitan Lake. Somewhere near here, we waited for the right tide and traveled into a lake, and the the skipper, my brother 28 years my senior, took us into the upper lake. Tricky with the tides and we were on a 44-foot boat with a fairly deep keel, our crew of 5, but we never worried because as a former troller, the skipper knew all these passages well. I only had an Instamatic camera and picture taking depended on sunny days which were rare. So, realizing how many places I've visited as a young man, you can see why I enjoy your traveling on Venture videos so much. Thanks.
@@PatrickThreewit Congratulations on being able to track down the location of the places you were looking for. That's a very convoluted area with many ins and outs,
Bravo, bravo Tony. So stoked to see Venture back on the water and hope all is well with you and yours. Prayers with you for the next video. Oh, to be a deckhand on Venture. What a dream.
Thank you for the new addition Tony, my wife and I enjoyed it very much over a glass of wine last night! Though I must say I have a bit of comedic level disgruntlement over this last episode being a cliff hanger...but I will most certainly be waiting with baited breath to see the harrowing next installment!
Beautiful footage again and wonderful to listen to your voice, it’s like poetry. ❤ hope your next video has a good ending despite the worrying announcement 🙏
Woo-Hoo… welcome back! As always, another epic video - we are now eagerly looking forward to the next episode. What drone do you use? We fly the DJI-Mini 3 Pro and find this to be a solid platform for our videos. Thanks, James
@@FlemingYachts I live in Idaho and people here are not fond of Californians moving here. But, in 1945, I was born in Bakersfield. Idaho is great but it is way too much into conspiracy theories. I lived in the San Juan Islands for 25 years. Great place for boating. I miss the salt water. I'm fairly close to some big rivers but they can't replace the ocean.

I work for the Chenega corp and have spent a lot of time in prince William sound and this captures the beauty of it better than I ever could 😂

I'm sorry to say they are not that well organized
They are still worth watching in any order. You will feel like you are there. I've been to several of these places and I KNOW how realistic they are.
