Dude you should check out the rail trails in Jersey. I know bee Yorkers hate NJ but the rail trails are amazing for gravel riding. The Columbia trail and D&R are great

Do you do an overnighter on the D&R canal trail or do 70 miles in a day?

You can cross over from D&R in Frenchtown to D&L and take it all the way to Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania. I believe the D&L is 165 mi

D&R is a bit boring for most of the trip until you get to Frenchtown Lambertville New Hope. From South Bound Brook at the start it's pretty boring for about half it's full distance
