Okay so, in timeline 2 after the mystery gang kills the eldritch god, they jump into timeline 3. The current timeline where the more recent movies take place. 13th ghost, return to zombie island etc etc. These movies have purposefully de-mystified the magical element. The reason why i think Scooby Doo and gang don't count supernatural forces as a possible factor is because they believe its all gone. They think there is no magic left. Its different histories for each timeline. "This has all happened before" In the OG first timeline, the Mystery gang really did go on a cross country road trip as it was the first ever show. Then later after graduating college. All adults now. Enter the home to VHS/DVD movies. Zombie island, Witches Ghost, Aliens, Cyber Space. Cases where they together have faced the supernatural In timeline 3. The one that keeps trying to debunk everything that happened before. The gang are re-living their past adventures in that new/current different history where yes. They did go to the zombie island and captured the 13 'ghosts'. Only this time there was never any magic to begin with when they first got there in the 3rd timeline..
@@TheRealEthanR So, what if it's just a time loop? What if moment after the guy says "this isn't the first time this has happened", the timeline resets. They think the guy wants them to visit for more mysteries to solve. The second the timeline resets, they have no memories of the previous loop. Also, each time it resets, it switches between timeline B and timeline C. So it alternates between ghosts being real and fake. As someone who grew up with the show, I really like this theory. Well done.👏
The way I view it is a multi-verse rather than a timeline reset. Timeline 1: HB = Everything between Where Are You? to 13 Ghosts.Late 80's movies are set before 13 Ghosts and 1980-82 Scrappy shorts are non-canon tall tales. Also Shaggy and Daphne end up together in this timeline. Timeline 2: WB = Everything between Where Are You? to first Scrappy series, Pup, What's New? and most DTVs. Just gonna say Curse of the 13th Ghost and Return to Zombie Island are non-canon and never happened. Timeline 3: Live Action = Anything from the live action movie series, starts with Daphne & Velma and ends with Scooby-Doo 1. Yeah, I like the theory that Monsters Unleashed takes place before Scooby-Doo 1. Anything else that is stand alone like SDMI, Get A Clue, Be Cool or Scoob.etc exist with in their own separate universes.
Yeah that makes the most sense that it would be in different multiverses parallel from each other. It’s very interesting. I definitely want to revisit the idea.
It's interesting that Mystery Incorporated introduced multiple timelines. Now every adaptation of Scooby Doo can be seen as cannon😂 Also, I've always thought the 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo took place in an alternate universe. Shaggy wears a red shirt and Daphne looks different. It was such a different show from the rest.
What about scooby doo's collab with Batman? Also scooby doo collabed with both Batman the golden age Batman version (I believe) and Batman the brave and bold. Are both the same timeline or different?
