I wanna thank God for such a beautiful human that work together to create such a beautiful movie giving many happiness and joy to the world. Thank you Tarantino and friends.
This song is beautiful and very atmospheric... It tells a story, without any words. Especially at 1:31, it's so romantic sounding and heart-breaking. And by 2:40 it's all about revenge :)
Fernand Blanc I loved O Ren, especially the anime cartoon part of her story. Sucks, that she got scalped by a samurai sword. I cried, because she witnessed her parents death.
the scene with this music where both the father and mother get killed, I can't help but compare the brutality to life how life forces and ushers in change whether we like it or not and then we must move on never being able to turn back.
This scene kind of makes you feel bad for O Ren even though she's the primary antagonist of the first volume. Quentin is really good at mixing your emotions. Two thumbs way up.
Out of Bill's assassins [minus Beatrix], I liked O-Ren the most. She was a political figure, she had her own personal army and body guards, she was hot, she was badass, after underestimating Beatrix, she corrected her mistake and apologized, and she accepted her defeat at the hands of a Hattori Hanzo Sword.... The others were "eh". Vernita didn't get much screen time, Elle was a bitch and deserved what she got, and Budd was exactly what Elle described him as.
Budd is amazing, his self deprivating nature of working in a shitty titty bar and living in the middle of nowhere being an alcoholic yet Kiddo rolls onto the scene and gets a chest full of rock salt within 60 seconds, that's some skill!
I tried to listen to this just now and it made me so angry and sickened and annoyed that had to turn it off. which is exactly how i felt during this scene in the movie. QT is really good at choosing soundtracks.
homage to 'Once upon a time in the west', for sure....and all the great 60's 70's westerns. the link between those and anime is clear and true, if you have eyes to see and ears to hear
@Sargentcool300 Spaghetti western since it came from a film of that genre originally, called Storm Rider, and because of the title :P But I guess the composer was mainly composing music for Italian things so that could be why it reminds you of the Godfather in some way. Tarantino sure likes his westerns...
@ledsith Bill had many different people working for his "company" other than the Vipers. Of course he'd need a smart lady (who happens to speak three different languages) taking care of stuff. But don't worry, Sophie will come back in Kill Bill vol. 3.
My mom says she heard this music in a movie called Love Story. :/ (Like at 1:32 or 2:20, she says she remembers that part when the couple run into each others' arms.)
@Deathbringer99699 bill didn´t know anything about that there was no bill in that scene just the boss of the yakuza and his henchmen, and the family of oren she met bill much later
I think O-ren was just as hurt as Bill when Beatrix faked her death and left because Beatrix was her best friend and felt betrayed. She most likely would have helped Beatrix leave the life but when she discovered her best friend didn't trust her enough to tell her she was pregnant and wanted to leave to the life she was angry. This is why she mocks her throughout the fight until the end when she apologizes for mocking her i think it was her finally letting go of her anger and finding some peace before dying.
@Deathbringer99699 wouldnt oren have killed bill was well then? no im sure that there´s no bill in it but if theres anyone who knows better feel free to correct me
If anything O Ren was a tragic antagonist, due to her parents being slain at an early age, and becoming the crime boss of Yakuza, and taking part in the brutal beating of Beatrix Kiddo.
'As I lay in the back of Buck's truck, trying to will my limbs out of entropy, I could see the faces of the cunts that did this to me and the dick responsible. Members all of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. When fortune smiles on something as violent and ugly as revenge, it seems proof like no other, that not only God exists, you're doing his will. At a time when I knew the least about my enemies, the first name on my Death List, O-Ren Ishii, was the easiest to find. But of course when one manages the hard task of becoming queen of the Tokyo underworld, one doesn't keep it a secret, does one?' UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
The soundtrack for this film was just perfect.
This particular part was just incredible. Haunting. O-ren.
'Whimper'
Totally agree
The mixture of western styles and Japanese styles is just brilliant
When her mothers blood was dripping on her face. Taht had me tearing up

This made me felt so sad about O Ren :,(
ㅜㅜ
Fernand Blanc gay
Ok
Fernand Blanc I loved O Ren, especially the anime cartoon part of her story. Sucks, that she got scalped by a samurai sword. I cried, because she witnessed her parents death.
some tragedies turns victims into monsters
Wonderful song, the melody is very reminiscent of Elvis's "Mama Liked The Roses", which is utterly beautiful. This soundtrack is impeccable.
I hear Asian and western influences
It’s just western, Italian music replicating American-Mexican old western style
A great homage to the music of Ennio Morricone. He managed to equal his talent for htis piece. Rza really is an amazing talent.
It's so good it hurts my stomach
that part at like 2:15-2:40, where the music builds up, gives me chills every time...very beautiful, very awesome song, used in a very awesome movie.
the scene with this music where both the father and mother get killed, I can't help but compare the brutality to life how life forces and ushers in change whether we like it or not and then we must move on never being able to turn back.

This scene kind of makes you feel bad for O Ren even though she's the primary antagonist of the first volume. Quentin is really good at mixing your emotions. Two thumbs way up.
Correct.... but she wasn't bad until she was made to be.. she is absolutely a sympathetic antagonist
@Zunesrthebest this song is so brillant on so many levels! I want to hear this song when I die. it's so beautiful.
thank you for uploading this song!

some of the best music ive ever heard in any movie.

@theallseeingoracle you mean The grand Duel starring Lee van Cleef, epic film must watch
"Mommie......?"
I love Oren!!! Lucy Liu i my favorite actor ever and I wish she did a new movie like right now.
@theallseeingoracle I think the Ennio Morricone connection was very much deliberate.
@Sargentcool300 Spaghetti western since it came from a film of that genre originally, called Storm Rider, and because of the title :P But I guess the composer was mainly composing music for Italian things so that could be why it reminds you of the Godfather in some way. Bill was the one who set the house on fire in the anime (the guy with the rings) O'Ren and Bill have more history than we think.
Luis Bacalov un genio ....
Awesome song..... love it! :)
The theremin sound is so magic!
@ledsith Bill had many different people working for his "company" other than the Vipers. Of course he'd need a smart lady (who happens to speak three different languages) taking care of stuff.
But don't worry, Sophie will come back in Kill Bill vol. 3.
the end of carrie . steven king horror movie has a bit of this music. i wondered were ive heard it b4.
My mom says she heard this music in a movie called Love Story. :/
(Like at 1:32 or 2:20, she says she remembers that part when the couple run into each others' arms.)
Richard Clayderman - Love Story
Makes sense, those are the peaceful-sounding, non-forboding parts of the song.
A great star gazing song
thank you, thank you for posting this piece
It's ennio moricone I believe, and he did TGTBTU as well.
this song is so good at one point i was actually gritting my teeth like boss Matsumoto
@Deathbringer99699
bill didn´t know anything about that
there was no bill in that scene
just the boss of the yakuza and his henchmen, and the family of oren
she met bill much later
@theallseeingoracle Hmm it sounds like some blend of Extasy of gold and My name is nobody.
@Bubbleprayer
are you sure?..
i always tought that this was a "younger" bill..
@HornedWarMachine
Besides I was referring to this song and sequence it was used in, ya know?
1:32 - the emotion really kicks-in!
epic tune. one of the reason why kill bill will be unforgettable. =)
@aanjuan Truck Turner Theme by Isaac Hayes
@MrRerolpex these swords are rare, I didnt click dislike, but for that i didnt get the sword...
Woah
I didn't expect you here
Yes she did count her unborn baby because she didn't know that she survived until the second movie.
Dude, I was totally thinking that it sounded like a Morricone! :-)
I think O-ren was just as hurt as Bill when Beatrix faked her death and left because Beatrix was her best friend and felt betrayed. Cottonmouth kicked some major ass! Go Lucy, I still love you!
obra maestra
the western with Lee Van Cleef was great
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
@MrRerolpex But there are only 2 of his kinds in existence....according to books.
it reminds me of once upon a time in the west, i think thats where the insperation came from considering tarintino loved cowboy movies
R.I.P Luis Bacalov.
Best anime ost.
@MovieMaster0001 O Ren is really the only villain I felt bad for.
IT WAS TRAGIC TO WHAT HAPPEN TO O-REN ISHI'S FAMILY, THE WAY IT WAS SHOWN IN ANIME FORM IN THE FILM WAS BRILLIANT. MADE ME ALMOST SHED A TEAR.
exelente, casi llore :(
This track reminds me of the song "Autumn Leaves".
Anyone agree?
this shit is sooooo perfect for a movie
Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2 comes on tonight on Spike starting at 8 PM ET, y'all!
I'm 8 years late
This kind of reminds me of The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
@Levente20 I konw right...that was the best part

Yeah.. Brain-meltdown peaking point!!
"Come with me. It is the only way."

They kinda are
Motzumoto was once a good man.
Now go find the Harmonica song from the movie Once Upon a Time In the West and you'll see where Tarantino got his inspiration for this.
It's from Storm Rider, same genre of film so.
