good post on the m48 I have one as well and I polished and deburd my bolt and what a big difference it made on the bolt cycling and my next fix is internal rail's.
The Mauser action was so good that 1903 Springfield copied the action. I have a Yugo 24/47 and love it -the 150 grain isn't bad, however the 196 grain has a very stout recoil. My only suggestion is to change the firing pin spring, with the original spring you will have a lot of "light primer strikes" esp with Yugo ammo (which has very hard primers).
+Behind “Jagermister” Enemy lines good advice might be something I'll look into. It is a fine rifle though there's no doubt about that. Thanks for watching!
Did you end up getting a limb-saver that slips over the stock? My brother got me one and that makes it much more comfortable to hold. More comfortable to shoot too. As I have not shot it without the limb saver, I would rather not try shooting without one.
I have a couple limb savers that I keep for people shooting with me. Rarely do I use them though. Not a macho thing just don’t feel like I need them very often. I actually really like the kick from the Mauser. It’s a fun rifle to shoot.
+Trevor Lomprey honestly that is great I find most people just don't know enough about history and that's sort of an obscure piece of history at least to most people. Thanks for watching!
I really enjoy my m48a, was my 1st mauser action.
They will never be as smooth as a krag!
Well I would agree with you there. I love the krag.

i don't think yugoslavians know about the Yugoslavian wars
+Trevor Lomprey well considering Yugoslavia doesn't exist as a country anymore your probably right.
Daves45auto i actually knew that because I myself am a huge history buff
