    I’m extremely anxious at the notion that public lands are transferred to the states! I’m a lifelong resident of Colorado and the Western United States. I couldn’t even imagine my kids not being able to camp, fish, hike, hunt, and explore with their kids! These lands have meant so much to my life, and I’m hoping there are enough people with like minds to stop land transfers from ever occurring!

      I keep raising alarm about Washington, for many reasons. One of which is that what happens in Washington soon happens in other states. I was just in WA earlier this month, meeting with some of your groups fighting this craziness.

    Please reach out to your legislators and respectfully tell them how these bills affect you and why they are a bad idea or unconstitutional. These things won’t change unless we fight back!

    In California, you can’t even walk on State lands with a firearm (even unloaded)or stranded bow.
    That means if you have a compound bow, you have to take the string off to walk on State lands.
    It’s horrible.
    Fishing game will do sponsored hunts and then you’re allowed to have a firearm but other than that, it’s off-limits.

      Correct. So imagine if the 45 million acres of Federal lands within CA borders were transferred to the same state agency that restricts recreational shooting in the way you describe. Not good.

    Thanks for mentioning that shooters need to clean up after themselves when they are on state land. I belong to the same fantastic gun club that you do. Just south of it is a piece of state land that was open for recreational shooting. Over the years, shooters started messing it up more and more - leaving 1,000s of spent cases, broken(shot) bottles, and trash on the ground. My friends and I would pick up buckets full of this crap before we started shooting. Ultimately, we couldn't keep up. It got out of hand. Now, this area has been shut down to shooting by the state. The knucklehead slobs hurt the rest of us ... again!

    I’ve commented on a few comments but will do so here also; this is concerning because as a Colorado native I wasn’t even aware of these issues. This is something that would directly affect me in multiple ways and I do want to know how to get involved. Who can we call? Who can we vote out of office? I’ve kept my head down long enough quietly taking the changes Colorado makes without comment. Enough is enough. They started bugging me with magazine capacity bans then it was 3 day “cooling off periods” before taking possession of purchased firearms. It’s like these folks don’t even know who they are pissing off, the ones with the guns!

      You should ask your State Land Board commissioners. You should ask your State Representative and State Senator. My home state of Montana had identical rules to your Colorado rules until we got it changed in the state legislature. We now pay a small fee that goes to the Schools and we get access to 5.2 million acres of state land; win-win. You could do the same in Colorado if hunters, hikers, campers, shooters, and anglers got united and pushed for it.

    I didn’t watch the whole video, so I apologize if it was covered. Project 2025 calls for the elimination of the Conservation Reserve Program. That may not be a big deal in the West, but in the Midwest where there is very little public land to begin with, it will have impacts. Losing valuable wildlife habitat and the walk in programs that are created for it. Hunting is about to get a lot harder for those without deep pockets.

    Hello Good Folks.
    Here's some recent information on Bears Ears National Monument:
    1) The "Approved Resource Management Plan" was issued in January 2025.
    2) A free digital version (pdf) can be downloaded from the Monument's webpage.
    3) Because of input from recreational shooters the proposed shooting ban was changed; the ban now only applies in campgrounds, around pictographs & petroglyphs and developed areas, etc.
    Hope this update is of interest.
    Best to All...

    State lands are not public lands, utah and the blm just swapped 200,000 acres in the Emrey County Land swap. Local rumor is the state might sell/lease most of what they got in the trade to mining companies.

    I know that you hunt a number of our provinces so why is it that you rarely talk about Canadian legislation and regulations that negatively impact hunting, fishing and crown (public) land access? We face many of the the same or similar challenges in our various provinces/territories just as you do across the various states.

    OK, you are getting my blood boiling now Randy. I hope you realize the hippacracy of what you are professing about the guns and second amendment!! I agree with your assertion that we should have the right to have our guns, But the leaders that wrote the second amendment could not foresee AR 15/10 platform assault weapons, handguns that held 30 rounds and could disperse them in a few seconds, and the wide availability to the general public of such weapons. It is your attitude about supporting that --- that is feeding the ammunition (no pun intended) to the groups opposed to guns! Also, the groups like the NRA and others are major contributors to the Republican party, the party that wants to privatize all public land and supports locking people out of the public land they own in things like "corner crossing" lawsuits, because "property rights" trump (also no pun intended) the public rights, that also fuels the bad blood from the public! I learned as an Army officer, that you don't concede the best positions in a battle field, and you don't hand the enemy ammunition. We have a shared goal, but I have a whole different evaluation of our situation than you seem to express.

Randy mentions the second amendment and you go on a anti-republican rant where you are practically foaming at the mouth and reaching as far as you can. People might take you and those like you more seriously if it wasn't so apparent that your every thought and effort was a product of your irrational hatred of republicans.

      "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" so because our forefathers didn’t foresee it, we should be limited? I don’t understand. Our forefathers didn’t foresee a lot of things the amount of taxes we have at the government state and county level. Many other things as well such as: Airplanes
      Electricity running water basic plumbing in houses
      Cars
      Insurance
      Smart phones
      FaceTime
      Refrigerators
      Endlessly amounts of thangs that the founding fathers did not foresee like fentanyl.

    • @brodiewright7962
      @brodiewright7962 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Just because they didn’t foresee it doesn’t mean there’s not wisdom in it. One could also argue the governments at that time didn’t have fighter jets, or nukes, just because we’ve gotten good at war doesn’t mean a free people should be relegated to old technology.

    • @jasonrottlaender1721
      @jasonrottlaender1721 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I'm sorry but to say that the founding fathers were to limited in their imagination to see development in firearm technology is completely absurd.
      What they couldn't look back at what army's we using back in the 1st and 2nd century's and see a progression of swords and bows to the early hand Cannon and wheel locks?
      Even people were trying to invent helicopter's and airplane's as far back as Leanard'o Davinci
      Or just look at H. G. Wells writings from 2000 leagues under the sea to war of the worlds. I think some people are just trying to push their ideas about how they feel by trying to make others that were in fact more intelligent then they are by saying stupid crap that doesn't hold up to common sense.
