- I purchased with my own money an Eley Hose reel (w/ extra capacity kit), reel cover, handful of quick connectors, and a couple hose guides. I have no affiliation with Eley, but highly recommend every one of their products I've tested over the course of 6 months now.
Not only are they the highest quality I've found, but American made and owned. #Eley #EleyCorp
My cell phone was overheating mid way through, sorry about the choppy frame rate.

When you find more joy in acquiring badass hose equipment than in going to disneyworld, you know you have arrived.
I've had one 27 years and it is still going strong. Yep you can't go wrong.
Wow, that is good to hear! Figured a plastic one is half the cost, bit this will easily outlive double the years.👌🇺🇸
Always appreciate a clean honest review. Thanks bro 🤙🏾🌱
Glad to hear it, thanks!
Very nice. Thank you for taking the time.
Dude! That reel is awesome! And that hose end is a must. Need to wait a minute before buying since I just got a Reel Mower, but as soon as I get over that purchase, I am getting one! Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, my wife needs a cool down period between large lawn purchases.😉
You for sure won't regret picking one up!
@@kove Just gotta get used to it!
Great review on this Always great videos
I appreciate that Mike!
Gotta love those quick connects!
don't leave home w/o em
“If it’s a little bulging, then so what?” ... not the first time I’ve heard that 😂😂
Trust me, this ain't all show no grow either!
thanks Koven for sharing ! I ordered an Eley hose reel today.
Zero regrets from me, other than leaving the cover off during high winds. 😑
Just got an email this morning saying mine is scheduled to ship in a couple of weeks! They were on baby order. So popular
Mine was my Christmas present, shipped quick in November 😁. Tracy was all "A hose reel that costs $200??" But now she loves it!

My wife’s reaction to a T! But that 10 year warranty though! I had one of the plastic ones from big box store. Sat in my garage forever. Finally put it up. And after LITERALLY 1 DAY, it broke... ordered the eely
With baby’s in charge of shipment and delivery it does take longer
@@lefttool7928 I was thinking the same thing.
Left Tool
What a tool
That 1/4in extra in diameter makes all the difference, I switched all my shut off valves to full port 3/4in valves, god what a difference
Yep, each little piece like that builds up. Can't wait to see how much more GPM 1" hose will achieve.
I have 2. Like most things, you forget about the cost after a few months. The best part is you can leave it out all Winter. For the record, I've never had a problem finding the hole.
Exactly. No one regrets paying more high quality tools, only the other way around. I haven't until now either, is this normal with ageing?
@@kove The key is to use good lighting.
The beginning reminded me of Kung Pow. ‘Chosen one!!!’ ‘I’m coming!’
That and Sir Lancelot charging the castle is exactly what I had in mind.
how do you like their poly hose? does it wind well on their reel? do you find their capacity claims accurate?
The hose is from Harbor Freight, and its certainly worth the $18 or so I paid for 50' of 3/4" hose. The capacity claims seem to be spot on.
FYI: 1 inch hose has almost 2 times flow of a 3/4 inch hose. But it also makes the hose twice as heavy to lug around.
and I can't wait!
Damn branches how dare them, and what happen the hose end shot off 🤯 didnt pop the sleeve over the connector😂🤭 great video tho👍👏
Tell me about it, how inconsiderate of the tree!
@@kove 😂😂😂😂
Someday.....
I told my family that's all I wanted to Christmas. So it's what I got, zero regrets!
@@kove best gifts ever!
no mention of what size your supply line and hose bib are.
Dang I should have mentioned that. I'll add that to description. Going off memory right now, One and supply in the house city pressure, four 90° pipe turns on the 1/2-in pipe until the spigot. Don't recall it to speak it is, The hoses all 3/4-in.
I plan on making all this with 1-in line, and minimizing turns and angles.
You get that at the fire dept.
I don't understand, get what?
Keep it trimmed shorter so you can find the hole easier 🤷🏻♂️
Even my wife said how she prefers cut short. But high temps = high cut
Want.....one......bad. Did you look at their nozzles?
I did, they were sold out. 😟
Koven Carlson what?!? They were in stock Sunday! Rats!!!
@@jaymetheaccountant this was way back in November I bought this. Lower demand more inventory, and also needless to say lower price. 👌
Koven Carlson been in Manufacturing and Distribution for 20 years as a CFO - favorite saying is “Can’t sell out of an empty wagon” Hope @eleyreels can learn from this!
