I totally agree with you , except for 2 things, First: the F22 seem pretty worned out, and might have some rodknock, and dissembling it would be pretty disapointing for Kyle, if that is the case..... Second: We all wanna see the F22 Blow up anyways, and Kyle might be the first wanting it to blow up. They are gonna add nitrous to it till it blow up., ain't that nice and different than usual vids????, I think yes So even if they blow it up, the common nitrous dammage are holes in pistons, pistons poped by rings and shot block walls, head damage, but rarely rod trought the block , like with a turbo setup. so if the crank is good, it have at least 60% being salvageable afterwards anyways ^^ The reason turbo's tend to put a rod through the block is because the actually increase COMPRESSION and PRESSURE inside the engine , everywhere. while nitrous would not add more intake pressure but more oxidizer(oxygen) wich will indeed increase combustion temps, and thus creating more expansion in the top end componnent. But still Turbo is the way to go!!!!

It had over 300K miles and I was driving it home from high school and it would barely push 60 MPH and sounded like a motorcycle. Turns out it was running on 2 Cylinders. Those vans are tough SOBs!

I would put some gussets in the corners of those motor mounts in the RX. If the shape was a triangle you would be find but a four corner structure like that will place a lot of stress in the corners. Just picture the assembly like you have a pin that can rotate in each corner instead of a a stiff weld and add bracing necessary to keep if from collapsing as if it was pinned instead of welded at each joint.
you should see about using a CR-V drivetrain to make it AWD. The van has allot of room for something like that. It would be difficult. but well worth in my opinion.
Hayden, you don't need Holley Efi. Get over to Sloppy mechanics and there are a whole load of tunes you can use as a start or go with an MS3 box, a lot cheaper than the Holley system with a really good support network. Want to see you get this done without spending cash you don't need. Keep,up the good work team, one of my favourite TH-cam channels.
There's a reason it was full of oil. The rod knock. You dump a bunch of oil into a car with a knock, quiet it down in the process and then sell it to somebody that doesn't know what's wrong with it. Classic trick.
Back many years ago when I used to have an h22a swapped eh2, There were absolutely no aftermarket pistons available due to the FRM walls. The ringlands were the weak point of the stock pistons. If you sleeve, you should have a larger selection of pistons available. There was a company developing a coated piston but I got out of the scene before any word of them. Mahle or something.
I would really love for Boostedboiz to go into depth with this h22 build, working a build that's gona be close to the same for my prelude, I know it might bore some ppl to watch a video of that sort but it would really help me and maybe a few others with a vid that goes into a little more detail about the h series build
I would try to box in or gusset those motor mounts for the RX7. If he plans to make some serious power, over time, I can see those motor mounts starting to bend/flex. May lead to some issues. Why not make them solid af while its so open.

If you need a crank use the one from the f22 you have in the van, its a direct swap. I hope you see this comment before you decide to kill the motor

Kirei Edwards I believe you need h23a1 rods to make a f22 crank work and then it's a Frankenstein h/f23
F22 have larger stroke than H22..... Cranks are not the same.

Put the h22 head on the F block. The f series have strong bottom ends. Its called a G22 when you swap them.
