Was a dream come true for me to watch them play all 4 games at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas. The last game against USA was the IT game. Vargas was phenomenal,her defense and offense. Although Zehra, Hande hasn’t played that match but Derya, Ilkin , Tugba and Kalac did an amazing job. Ebrar , Gizem, Sahin was amazingly phenomenal. I’ve always say that Elif Sahin has a good chemistry with Vargas when setting up the ball. Ebrar was on 🔥 and explosive 🧨 to watch. Gizem is the best Libero. Vargas has lit the arena on fire. It was worth flying from Hawaii to Texas just to see Vargas play…. Wow 🤩 just WOW 🤩 ❤
Set 3 is the quality of number 1 rank from Turkey
What kind of video editing is this? When the Turkish team was struggling in first set Cebecioglu entered the game and made a big difference and got the so many points for Turkiye, but we are not seeing any of her killer attacks. They are just showing Mellisa, Karakurt and Zehra I do understand they are the Star player, but you can not ignore the new and young players hard work! Show a little love and respect.

kudos to germany for hanging in there after the 3rd set. I think it allowed them to play without pressure, and without fear of losing. Why isn't the 3 consecutive superhuman digs by Gizem not in the highlights? I guess it is all about scoring. Gizem was the savior, but they all played well.
I agree that games are edited terribly just to post quickly. It should be done by someone who actually watches the whole game and takes notes of critical and spectacular actions. If it is already so, then they do not have volleyball taste at all.
The team is warming up and we are slowly gaining momentum. We have recovered quite a lot, I am hopeful for the Olympics and VNL finals. I am sure that we will have the wind at our back just like last year. By the way, Gizem Örge and Derya Cebecioğlu were great in this match. 🇹🇷🎉🤩💯

The star of the day was Derya Cebecioglu. She played so good in both reception and offensive; a very stable player and demonstrated to technical team that she is the first choice in the team in number 4 position.
She will be a very formidable contribution to the team in Paris.
I am also glad to see much improved performance from Zehra and it seems she has fully recovered from her shoulder injury.
And Vargas is Vargas, as usual she was very effective today and made a huge contribution for the win.

We 🇹🇷 got only 0.11 points for this victory. But if we were to lose, we would lose 14 points. A price to be paid for being number 1 🧿😉.

VNL edisi tahun ini kelihatan tim wanita Turkiye lambat panas, bahkan tidak seagresif dan tidak segarang VNL tahun lalu. Pemain harus lebih banyak bergerak dan intensif dalam bertahan dan menyerang. Jika ini tidak dibenahi, maka melawan tim Poland, Brasil dan Serbia akan sangat berbahay bagi Turkiye. Masih ada waktu untuk berbenah. Selamat atas kemenangan melawan German.

Team didn't have time to work before VNL (gathered like 8 days before) because of the tight schedule of players and Santarelli. So for this VNL they are doing the trainings lacked. Santa trying new players, positions etc. Winning VNL is not the priority atm, but getting ready for Olympics is. So I believe we'll be close to our final roster and top game at Bangkok finals and hopefuly be best at olympics, for a nice medal.
It wiol come togheter and Turkiye will stay 1st!
I watched the game in person. Derya and Gizem played well. Vargas is really strong. Elif did some very impressive sets. Ebrar needs time to adjust to her new position.

Zehra is back! I can always rely on Vargas to score high on VNL Fantasy ☺️. There were some parts of the match that looked really shaky for Türkiye but they recovered from it. Derya should have played in the match against Italy.
Honestly this was supposed to be 3 - 0. Turkiye is not playing at their best but a win is a win. Santarelli keep Derya close, she's such a refreshing addition.
The first set they lost due to turkish airlines, which is their sponsor. They flought 13hours in small seats in ecenomic class. So the set was their fault

Santarelli needs to wake up and get rid of the ‘’3 libero’’ nonsense. Ayca has shown again today why she has no place in this team. She almost caused the team to choke the last set. Instead get players like Saliha or Meliha back into her place. Team still needs time and hopefully we see a better performance against Serbia and Korea (like seriously, you gotta win those with 3-0’s 🤦♂️) Eda played her first game after weeks so can’t criticize her. Karakurt also needs to improve cuz she’s realy been playing poorly since the beginning of the VNL. Derya, Vargas and Zehra were amazing today.

First set was terrible, I don’t know what happened. We haven’t given Germany a set since 2020. Second set was good, third set was amazing, our usual self. In the fourth set we were leading 23-18. But then, 23-23. 5-0 game for Germany. At this level, it’s not acceptable.
But still a win is a win. I have no doubt in my wonderful girls and their genius coach ❤️. I’m sure lessons are learned. Congrats my team 🇹🇷🧿👏!
First set they lost due to turkish airlines fault. You can not send so big players on a journey like this. This is a very unprofessional sponsor.

Not an excuse, but I think it’s because most of them are recovering from injuries sustained during the seasonal matches and didn’t want to endanger or risk their physicality so as not to jeopardize their chances in the Olympics.

It will be interesting to see which players will be chosen for the final line up. I know all OHs, MBs, and liberos are very competitive and wouldn’t want to be elbowed.

If we want to win the olimpics, we need Eda and in top form. She is the igniter and the undisputed captain of this team. It will be ao hard to replace her. Turkey will need to transform its game, since there will be no replacement.

But do you know what it means for winning the most important tournaments in this world? Nothing. For your information the years before the two times Brazil got gold in Olympics were terrible.
Therefore Turkey is not an ordinary team which needs to hire foreigners to get some relevancy.

Açıkcası Santarelli gereksiz oyuncu değişiklikleri yapmasaydı ve 3 libero sevdamızdan vazgeçebilseydik 3-0 almıştık. Kesinlikle Ayça’nın hiçbir katkısı yok. Saha da süs olarak duruyor arada sırada görüyorum eline top geliyor düzgün karşılayamıyor bile. Zaten 2 tane mükemmel liberomuz var. 3 libero sevdamızdan vazgeçip Meliha’yı ya da Saliha’yı kadroya alıp oynatabilirdik. Ve bence Ebrar daha smaçör pozisyonuna alışamadı. Bugünkü Sırbistan maçında iyiydi ancak yine hataları vardı. O da umarım hemen adapte olur. VNL bizim için umarım iyi geçer.❤️

Biz VNL kazanmaya çalışmıyoruz, takımı-düzeni oturtmaya çalışıyoruz. Antreman yapıyoruz. Final haftasına kalalım yeter, orada çok daha iyi olacağız ama en önemlisi olimpiyatlara en iyi halimizde gitmek. O nedenle sıradaki 2 maçta değişik kadroları, düzenleri görürsen şaşırma.

I'm honestly very disappointed... even though Turkey is a great team, we lost a match that was within our reach. We should have performed better, especially in the third set which was horrible. This is a defeat that hurts

I watched the first set and I know it’s because of the early errors and mistakes from our side and surprisingly more of Melissa Vargas which made Germany targeted her in the first set.
