Have I UNEARTHED a DIAMOND while sniping gold in NSW?

- Production of diamonds in New South Wales has been estimated to be over half a million
carats, with most production in the late 1800s and early
1900s. There is excellent potential for primary (hardrock) diamond deposits and for the delineation of more alluvial deposits. There are clear indications that alluvial diamonds, have been found in
significant quantities.
On my second day prospecting for gold in regional NSW I uncovered a very clear stone or potential diamond along with a good quantity of gold. I also find old relics and history of the miners of early settlement days. Join me on another awesome underwater adventure!!

For anyone wondering where the specimen went well… while eating lunch I was taking a look at it sat it down beside me on the bank of the river and completely forgot to pick it up again, got a few hundred ks down the road then realised I had left it at the river 🥴🥴🥴
Nooo!😢
Good to see you back in Tasmania!
Bugger that sounds like something I'd do Mate 😂
😮😂 I recently did that with my pinpointer. Just recently had my GoPro stolen, so I was a tad upset with myself 😜🤦♀️. Great video as always 👍
aw man haha
Just a quartz crystal you get them up in the hills near the lookout also be careful crossing that fence the owner has cameras on that part of the river / carpark nice work on the gold and love seeing u prospect nsw
Can you detect in this area of the old goldfields and share its location? Please😊
There are many gold hunting videos on TH-cam, but there is only one that by far out shines them all, and that is a Tassie video! Always pleased to see you post a top notch video. Keep up the fine work, love it!
Thanks mate
Inspired, out came the old dive gear and under the water I went. Found a large orange/yellow sapphire. My young daughter came with me. Absolutely stoked! Been watching for a few years now, thought I would have a go.

It's time for Levi, and you know what to do folks, just relax and inhale🤠
Glad to see you back, Levi. I always enjoy the time you share with us!
Great show Brother. Glad to see you on the air again :) Cheers
Great show. Topaz usually tend to have a frosted appearance from stream tumbling. They have a dead flat basal cleavage which is often seen. Diamond have that very bright lustre and distinct crystal shapes though can be rounded (very simplified explanation). Quartz often has the conchoidal/shell like fractures and then there are clear sapphires. I can't tell what yours is from the video.
Beautiful work, God bless you!
I'm buying my equipment to do this there too, thanks for encouraging me
Nice to see you back sniping and sharing your videos. Well done and thanks👍

Awesome to see ya back Levi.
The best of luck with Parks and Wildlife application.
So glad to see this video and oh so glad that you have in your application in order to do some more Tazzie snipping. I just love screen capturing Tazzie scenery and then using those shots to do some digital drawing. I’ve told several groups when sharing my art (I’m a beginner) about how beautiful Tasmania is. I hope the government will soon process the paperwork so you can us give us great content and I can continue to share my Tazzie drawings. You have such a great channel.
I’ve been saying it all along! Break up the friable bedrock as much as possible, that gold is amazing how far down in those cracks it can go!
Another great outing (adventure) Levi, beautiful scenery and of course the gold is always an extra bonus...!!
Yes! 🤠 So nice to see you back, this channel is golden! 👍✨💫
Great show and gold as always Levi. Can’t wait to see beautiful Tasmania again. Good luck on the application 🇺🇸👍⚒☘️🍻
Glad to see you back Levi. Cracking content as always. Thank you 👍
It’s great to see you Levi. Your sniping always relaxes me. Here’s hoping for some big gold. Gl.
Cockleburrs, usually get stuck on you while hunting. They love flannel and wool especially. That’s where the guy who invented Velcro got the idea from supposedly.
Just amazing work fam. Keep on having fun getting that Au and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Wow! I am really enjoying your sniping adventures. I still am amazed of the gold you find having yourself fun what you do. I wish I were younger. Great vid mate, keep at it! Not only for the gold but the magnificent tassie wilderness.
Nice one Levi, As soon as I saw blue in that clear stone, I said to myself "it's a topaz".

Another dandy video Levi Thank you for sharing✌️ Napa California
Just found your channel. Spent lots of time in a wet suit doing exactly what you're doing in the rivers of California nearly 35 years ago. What a wonderful time, and your video is bringing it right back. Im ready to dive again...
Thanks!
19:10 the cactus is prickly pear - it is an introduced weed.
Very informative. This is by far the best gold sniping video and my favourite.
Wel come back Levi I waiting for your video
nice work Levi!
Good to see ya! Get that gold.
Wow great couple days out.
It's absolutely mind-blowing how much gold you find sniping. Fair play, Levi 👍🏻⚒️🏴
Another excellent video Levi.
Levi . It great to have back
Great stuff Levi, get that gold!
Good to see you at it again Levi. Even though I have been doing a bit of amateur prospecting over decades you've taught me a lot. I'll take my goggles wherever I go mate. I wanted to share with you that fact that the minute I started watching your clips (6 months ago) I kept saying to the Mrs; "I don't think this guy can do all that there?" I thought the rules had changed because I got caught by Rang'ers on a Qld offshore island going over an iron stone outcrop where my mates & I were swimming. Thinking quickly I told them I was looking for old fishing sinkers & ya never know I might find the odd gold ring. I was using a FT16000. They were nice about it & said I better stop before mainlanders heard what I was doing & then they'd have a problem. I then got the rest of the rules plus a camp visit. I guess nothing has changed with the rules except they will have tightened on all those ones. Good to see you didn't dummy spit too far, lol. Keep going mate, I'm about to start again, thanking you, Paul BB FNQld
Good to see you back at it! Great video!
Well done Levi.
Hola m encanta tus vídeos casi diario los veo en la tv
Awesome thanks so much
Me pregunto sera verdad que encontro ese 💎?
Love what you are doing. Love your videos! Keep it up!
Keep ‘em coming Phil! From Canberra!
It blows my mind that these rivers aren’t flooded with people going after gold. Man I know I would.
Another beauty mate! Go Tassie Boys!
Thanks for another great video levi
Thats a pretty good haul there Levi. I would be happy with that total over two days of detecting 😊
Great to see you back in action
You had to be dying to get out and get some gold after such a long time glad that you put it into one video instead of two. That specimen was very interesting. If they left that piece there Hass to be more that they left behind. Do you think anyone has metal detected those piles, bummer that you forgot it. Maybe you can pick it up again someday and it will still be there. Great adventure with some nice gold. Congrats to the winners. Thanks for sharing. See you on the next one.👍🏼👊🏼
Pretty cool stones! Still love the sound that good makes go up your sniffer bottle.
It’s more likely to be crystal quartz Levi.
I found one similar here in the river at Collie (coal mining area) and it tested the same.
It was in the gravels in the bottom of a boil hole about 4 feet deep in granit & I was hoping to find gold.
I actually had it cut (faceted) by a guy in Queensland and it came up awesome - looks to all intents & purposes like a big diamond.
I’d encourage you to do likewise & make your wife another gold ring and have it set.
Why not? She will treasure it more than any diamond, because YOU found it for her & went to all the trouble to have it cut & set.
I can track down the email of the guy who faceted mine if you like? 👍
Well done Levi 👍
Fascinating to see the old workings. Do you keep any of the old copper nails Levi?
Yeah I do have a jar full of things like that
Nice finds! The topaz looks especially high quality.
