I wonder if she's sewn on the plastic or paper labels from packaging or if they are printed onto cloth and then sewn. Both ways are just perfect for her fun, eclectic whimsical style. I think she's the auntie or mom everyone wishes they had! Fabulous!
My understanding is that Maria stitches directly into the original packaging. So glad you enjoyed it!

Oh that struck some heart cords. I moved abroad a long time ago from Ireland and my aunt always would write to me. My mother is in the last scenes of her life and it's been hard watching from a distance all the people I love disappear. Very moving.

I LOVE your pieces of art. Your use of bottle caps on the jacket inspired me. I have a large container of bottlecaps. I do not make garments, but I am a quilter. Especially love your Cathedral Window Quilt and use of buttons.
