The Four Roses SB Private Select I snagged on my last KY visit is GLORIOUS! It's a OESV pick by Brent Elliott... I have drank almost all of it which makes me sad. 🖖😎🥃
I am the same type of collector. If I see the old label of a bottle I’m buying it, maybe even two. On top of that I want all of the bottles, old, new, store picks, whatever. Great content as always. Made me feel a bit better about my collection.
Good video. I'm not a collector but my "collection" is growing (about 95 bottles). I do not hunt specifically for any bourbons but I will go to various stores and just see what they have and will buy something if I want to try it. I've been lucky a few times and got some allocated stuff (all at MSRP) because I was at the right place, at the right time. I don't drink that often so my bottles tend to last a while. Thankfully the wife doesn't like liquor so it's all mine 😂😂
It's surprisingly fun to go through your bottles and reorganize your shelves. I'm out of room at the moment, so I have some bottles hidden in cabinets or on the floor...my wife loves that lol. Love content like this, keep it up!
Chad, awesome collection!! I like you, have bottom-shelf bottles that will probably never be opened. But that is just the sign of a true collector, RIGHT?!?! Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed the video!
I LOVE that you have a Kentucky Tavern, that is some serious bottom self bourbon that I cut my teeth on when I worked 3rd shift and waited for the liquor isle to open at Walgreens (they were the earliest in Louisville at 8am). Too young and poor to afford much more.
Amazing collection. With your background on bourbon, have you ever heard of Old Hermitage bourbon? My dad used to use it to make his Manhattans back in the 1960's. If you know what became of Old Hermitage, please give some history. Thank you.
Wow. You have a lot of bottles! I bought my 2nd shelving unit as I have > 120 bottles of bourbon. (I have some backups for favorites) I have been only keeping 4-5 bottles open at a time until they are finished and then opening up others. However, several of my friends have passed away unexpectedly lately, so my thinking has changed. I am opening new bottles to try every week, so that I get to taste them, in case something happens to me. I was waiting to open some when I retire in 2 years, but who knows what will happen by then?
I enjoyed seeing the bottles in the collection and hearing Chad talk about his need to have All of the bourbon. 😂 I did go back and watch the Old Crow episode. I would have asked to see Sara's ID before pouring her a drink. It was great to watch that episode and see how far you both have advanced as hosts and creators.
Chad, do you guys do anything to help preserve your collection for long term storage? Like wet the corks every so often, decant or transfer to smaller bottles as the levels get low, or anything else?
I’m saving this video! The next time my wife says “where did this bottle come from”! I will show her y’all’s collection. I’m on a JV team compared to y’all.
Hi Chad, while my collection is no where near yours, I do have a few "Special" bottles. I do have older bottles of WT Kentucky Spirit and Rare Breed unopened and a Wt bottle signed by Jimmy. Also a single barrel Four Roses from Jim Rutledge's time. And my prize bottle of Blantons signed by Freddie Johnson on my birthday. While showing a bottle of Weller you mentioned Perry. I assume you were talking about C.L. Perry who worked at the Stitzel-Weller distillery, He signed a Bulleit hat for me. My Rebel Yell has the wheat shown on the label. I also have a small 350 bottle of Makers Mark 46 cask strength with just a white printed lable which I picked up at MM, and My Ambassador's bottles. I enjoyed your video and seeing someone else remembering their bourbon hunt picks. It's not just about the bourbon.
Great video as always. Enjoy seeing some older bottles that I have not seen before or getting some backstory on the bottles. It also makes me feel a little better on the collection I have amassed without trying exceptionally hard. I was shocked once I made a list/spreadsheet of my open bottles and closed bottles. I have a rough estimate of cost of both of these lists and I still get a little nauseated when I think about it. But all in good fun and will take some time to try them all.
Nice collection of older bottles Chad, especially the Wild Turkey, 4R and Jim Beam ones. Always cool to see your collection 👍 I found a Forgiven and 5 Kentucky Spirits in the old feather bottles in 2021 at two random liquor stores in CA for $61-$69 each . . . I think there’s still contemporary dusties out there in isolated corners of the country waiting to be discovered.
Fun vid. I would like a quick tour when you finish your reorg. Might give me some ideas what to do with mine. Also would love to see Sarah's face when she finds out you did not finish the job. 😱
That was so unexpected! I love it. I hope you’ll incorporate more fun introductions in the future. I’d like to see a voting competition between yours and green eyes ;)
Hey, big fan of your videos! My girlfriend and I struggle to find nice shelves for our collection and love the ones you have. I'm not sure if it's mentioned in a previous video, but where did you get them?
For starters, you drank Elijah Craig with Ming Chen? That's awesome. I'm relatively new to bourbon, but I've been a comic book junkie all my life, and I miss Comic Book Men. Great show. And a great tour of the library by Chad, who is capable of pulling off a compelling solo act. Nonetheless, I was missing your lovely better half, so thanks for the brief clip of her riffing while clearly lit up. I trust it's clips like that which got her mom on her case. Good times.
This was a lot of fun! I laughed to see Kentucky Tavern. That used to be my very bottom shelf hidden gem until they added the flavoring and color. Jealous
Nice video & impressive collection 👍🏻 I know you said it's in alphabetical order but you can also write a list on what bottle you have so you don't have repeaters. For me when it comes to whiskey or anyting I like consistency but I always like trying new things also 🥃
Dude i thought i had a pretty respectable collection! Yours definitely trumps mine .not that bourbon should be a competition but yeah i am slightly envious.
If I lived where I could find anything decent, my wife would leave me! Only good thing about PA liquor system. Although I did just win the lottery and got a Blanton's SFTB at retail...Great video!
I always wondered how much whiskey I could buy if I didn’t have kids and have to pay for college. Now I know! Lol. I’ll live vicariously through you until they’re out of the house. Lol.
I'm Tony and I don't remember giving y'all Forgiven. I don't think I would because that was my unicorn bottle forever. But we've all had a few nights where we've had too many.
You have a lot of bottles open! While I realize extra oxidation can improve or at least change in interesting ways an open bottle, isn't there a upper limit to how long one can stay open and not deteriorate? Have you tried the various nitrogen gassing products to help hold bottles?
I have a problem with floor wine. My wine collection has grown out of control. I have managed to get my collection of spirits under control by limiting the numbers in each category, and I need to do the same with wine. When a collection gets too big, I have to question whether there can ever be enough time or healthy booze-drinking capacity to finish off all the bottles.
I know there's a lot of debate on this issue, but what is your take on whiskey oxidizing after opening? Can whiskey last years (after being opened) without going bad?
Very cool video, as always. Are you willing to disclose the birth year wild turkey price? I would love one. I had a 1992 pour and it was amazing. I can only imagine what a 1980 one would be like.
Wow so am assuming that a bunch of those bottles will never be opened? But I wonder…if you did open all of them with the aim of making your collection zero bottles (I know!! 😵💫) how long would it take to drink it all? 🤔 and I guess not destroying your liver in the process!
I completely disagree with your floor whiskey analysis. I always keep 2 or 3 bottles I'm drinking on in the floor by my bed. So I lay down on Friday or Saturday night, I can turn on the TV or que up some music, I can then just reach down and feel for the bottle I want, then pour my glass without even getting out of the bed. Beats the hell outta getting up and walking downstairs to my shelves. So yes give me the floor whiskey!
"Just about empty shelf"........when we see sooooo many bottles STILL in front of those empty shelves!!! Ahahahahahaha Funny guy, Chad!!! P.S. How much are all your bottles worth right now??? More than 10K, right?🤔😳
This might be a really dumb question, but what on earth do you guys do for a living? I'm always so curious how Yutuber's like brbn junkies and yourselves can have tens of thousands of not hundreds of thousands worth of bottles. And I'm sure a lot of it is from the revenue from the videos, but good grief you have your own liquor store.
Great look at the Library. And a GREAT recommendation to go back and watch "Uncorking Old Crow Reserve (Halloween Edition)"! We got to see SaraHHHHHHH in all her tipsy glory.
As a collector that has recently started collecting significantly more, I love videos like this!
Thanks for the shout outs my friend!
Dayum ur a museum I wish I had access to as much old dustys as you guys haha awesome to see though quite honestly
The humor in the intro is awesome. "You might remember me from such videos as the video we put out last Friday" got me. Well done!
Happy 100K! Congrats to the OG King & Queen of Bourbon on TH-cam. Keep doing your thing!
Happy 💯 !! Let’s celebrate 🎉🎉 Congratulations 🥃🥃
😂
I love the way this opens. I'm a-fixin' to go out and get me some More Shelves. ❤️
Just noticed Subs @ 99.9k! Looks like Sunday Live may be time to celebrate.

Awesome, Damn impressive. Thanks for the updated look!
Very jealous of your collection, great video.
99.9k subscribers!! 100k could happen tonight! Congratulations!!
And it did!!🎉

wow. what a beautiful room!
KENTUCKY SUPREEEEEEME!!! Honestly, if someone made a Brawndo whiskey, I'd buy it.
Same.
So spot on its scary….😂
I've thought about building a bunch of shelves, but I usually have 1 or 2 bottles at a time.

WHISKEY CHEERS 🍻

Classic Troy McClure intro 🤣
That 1980 WT101 I think we can crack that for our 35, 45, 55 year birthday's
Amazing collection. With your background on bourbon, have you ever heard of Old Hermitage bourbon? My dad used to use it to make his Manhattans back in the 1960's. If you know what became of Old Hermitage, please give some history. Thank you.
Chad, love this video! Unfortunately, Brian sees a reflection of himself! Lol You have a phenomenal collection!! ❤️🥃❤️
Thank you, Tammy! ❤❤
Awesome collection. Geez, you guys have a lot of whiskey

Love this kind of content-could watch this all day!✌️👍🙏
I got a Forgiven 302 and a Smooth Ambler VOS 14 year… dope outliers
JC! I thought mine was a bit large. Now I can play this to justify mine..,,ha ha
Congrats on 100k!
Thank you!!
Chad, do you guys do anything to help preserve your collection for long term storage? Like wet the corks every so often, decant or transfer to smaller bottles as the levels get low, or anything else?
That was fun Chad. You have some fun ones!

Great video Chad. I am a seasonal bourbon drinker (not the summer months) who looks for 90 proof and up. Loved the ECBP.
Nice collection of older bottles Chad, especially the Wild Turkey, 4R and Jim Beam ones. Always cool to see your collection 👍

With the way you guys love old bookers i think that should be opened on a big channel milestone or big anniversary.
WOW MY HEART IS BEATING OUT OF MY CHEST.
Kentucky Tavern was what I bought during my freshman year in college. That was more than a few years ago.
Great video Chad!
Wondering if your collection is insured and if so, how do you go about getting the collection insured?
Fun vid. I would like a quick tour when you finish your reorg. Might give me some ideas what to do with mine. Also would love to see Sarah's face when she finds out you did not finish the job. 😱
Congratulations on 100k!!! So well deserved! What bottle did you guys pop tonight to celebrate?
Thanks! A George T. Stagg 144.1 proof from 2016 ❤😊
@@ItsBourbonNight How was it? Also do you still have the Jefferson 16 Presidential?
interesting stuff. i found the old style Kentucky Spirit right after they changed it.
Chad's dad jokes are out of control when he's alone
Wonderful video buddy!
This definitely makes me want to give you money.
My only rule for the
Drank wall, if it’s open it’s fair game if it’s sealed please ask first.

You're straddling that fine line between collector and hoarder...
You guys must have one of the most comprehensive collections going. Incredibly jealous but very well earned, keep it up! 😊
This was a lot of fun! I laughed to see Kentucky Tavern. That used to be my very bottom shelf hidden gem until they added the flavoring and color. Jealous
I would love to have a link to your new cabinet
Nice video & impressive collection 👍🏻 I know you said it's in alphabetical order but you can also write a list on what bottle you have so you don't have repeaters. For me when it comes to whiskey or anyting I like consistency but I always like trying new things also 🥃
This is what I do ha have a list

I took your recommendation and watched the “Old Crow Reserve” Video. You should do a revival of that one it was entertaining.
Good video.
Still sitting here awaiting my invite to visit the Library... Cheers,
Do you do anything to preserve your corks such as turning the bottle over periodically to wet the cork (every 6-12 months)?
I always wondered how much whiskey I could buy if I didn’t have kids and have to pay for college. Now I know! Lol. I’ll live vicariously through you until they’re out of the house. Lol.

Moar of these!
Great video. In your opinion, does flavor in the bottle degrade after so many years? Let’s say it’s half full.
I have an Old Fitz Prime from 1969, unopened with the tax seal intact. I am looking for any info I can on this bottle.
Nice! Wish we had some info for ya.
I know there's a lot of debate on this issue, but what is your take on whiskey oxidizing after opening? Can whiskey last years (after being opened) without going bad?
I could watch an unedited 24 hours video of you going through every bottle you own.
Save shelf to keep with the library theme, the restricted section.
How much is a subscription to the library? Does it work where you can take it home too and study, 14 day return? 🤨
100 k congrets ❤
Is this what happens when Sara leaves Chad alone?? Great video!
seeing the old fitz BIB handle was so cool. do you think they'll discontinue the 80 proof old fitz soon too?
Wouldn’t surprise us!
Approximately how many bottles do you have and maybe how much is it worth
Very cool video, as always. Are you willing to disclose the birth year wild turkey price? I would love one. I had a 1992 pour and it was amazing. I can only imagine what a 1980 one would be like.
We actually don’t know the price of those turkeys. We didn’t buy them.
What do you do with bottles you don't like? Ricipes or give it to people you don't like😀.
Letterman laugh at the start of the EC pirate bottle section. 🎉
@@JasonMcKiernan Hahaha true!
Question: do you save your empties?
We do! We make candles out of them.
Floor whiskey for me just usually means inconveniently by the bed. I'm a pro drunk like y'all just a different kind.
Please let all of us know how long you have been collecting and how you got started.
Officially started collecting around 2005. Ramped up around 2014.
I can't believe Sara allows Chad to have Penthouse in the library.
😂
Floor Bourbon 😅

This is why the shelves are empty when I go to buy them. Yall getting ready for the apocalypse. Leave some for me.
No
@K0okyKats no problem. I'm not impressed. I actually drink my stock, not sit there an stare at it on a shelf😂
Enjoy😂
