There were a few options/upgrades at the place I used sprocketcenter.com - I ordered part JT3585001 for my 850gs. They were pretty quick with shipping and all. Worked out great.
Hey there - the swing arm wasn't removed. There were some larger T50 torx and also the front sprocket which required a large wrench. I have a large Harbor Freight torque wrench and a breaker bar as well. The breaker bar is around 24" long - just a large craftsman breaker.
how many miles/Kms did you get from the original chain & sprockets? I did my chain at 40,000kms but i did not really think it needed it. I have 50,000kms on the original sprockets now and they still look great. Sorry, I just watched the second video see that you got 17,500 miles. WOW, I've got nearly double that and my original sprockets look fine. Maybe I better look a bit closer. I knew i was not a "hot dog" rider but this is crazy. Oh well, thanks again.
Yeah I got 17,500 miles. And the sprockets weren't in awful shape. The chain was the worst offender. The front sprocket had a bit of the "wave" effect. However, I (almost) always change both sprockets and chain at the same moment. Sprockets impact chain health. So I did the full change because that's just the way I do it. Glad you enjoyed the vid!
Nice video mate. Very informative. Keep it up 👍
Thanks! Glad to hear it.
Hi Bob. Didn’t catch it in the video. Where did you purchase the chain and sprocket?

how long is the wrench handle you used to loose swing arm bolt?

Did you have the Endurance Chain installed on your GS?
