There is little variation it is not syro it should be Aramaic - Hebrew dialect which was st Thomas where spoken to Kerala Jews .. Jews of Hebron made transplanted Aramaic words to Hebrew they did not translate the names .. it is evident in Old Testament

Meaning of this song "Holy Lord of all, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us."
This syriac song was part of east syriac liturgy in 4th century and Syro Malabar liturgy it is instructed to repeat three times.
Later Saint Maria Faustina Conclude Chaplet of Mercy with (Repeat three times) the prayer
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy given to her by Jesus in the revelations of 13th and 14th September 1935 in Vilnius, was at first recited by Sister Faustina on her own.
The same prayer was part of syriac liturgy from 4th century! So assume how much holiness is with Syro Malabar liturgy.
Actually this is not originally from Church of East or Syro Malabar. Church of the East incorporated it from Byzantine Greek rite after a Church father visited Constantinople. The origin is from Byzantine rite

I was in search of something like this ! The orthodox syrian version is also slightly different. Two factors come into play here , number one is the syriac dialects and also ability to pronounce some words in a certain tone. We Orthodox call god aloho while syro Malabar liturgy used alaha. There are several other differences. Its important to protect our syriac heritage and culture unfortunately the syro Malabar churches have been facing resistance from their own brethren in doing so

In West Syriac Qaddisho or Kaadisho
Syriac language used by Thomas the Apostle. It have no connection with Jesus or Christianity directly. Praise in own mother tounge have more acceptance in front of God Trinity. Today some people give more importance to heritage and legacy rather than the belief.

St Thomas used Aramaic as well.
However as language undergoes evolution minor changes happen through the ages. These accumulate over time and distinction between the two takes place.

@@yawsepshammashan they aren't making fun of it. The version they sang was the Qadisha Alaha by the Nasrani Foundation channel, which is a malayalam channel. That has the same tune in the background.
