I play Star Realms on the iOS app almost everyday. Love it and I own 2 copies of the card game. A must buy for the expansions for me. CSI says it should be out this month or next, can't wait. I really hope they make it for the iOS app in the near future. I have won with each faction. I like red to be able to get rid of unwanted cards. Yellow I have won the most with mixed with blue. I won big time with mostly green cards. I think it comes down to having a few red cards and a little blue to heal and yellow to attack to keep you in the game. Yellow is so cool to make your opponent discard and draw cards for your self. You can get some really nasty hands to hurt the other guy. Great review! Thanks, Joel. These expansions seem like a no-brainer. I was expecting they would do an expansion with additional factions that you can swap in and out with the existing factions, but maybe they felt that would require too much setup and teardown time. With these expansions, you can just mix the cards in and you're done. I think I'd still like to see more factions at some point though.

how you play the mega mech? it's a card i don't really understand.you can return a target base into it's owner hand.so if i have it on my turn, my opponent take a base back in his hand? and he will play it on his turn again.and also he will play 6 cards.the 5, like always in his hand and the base i returned in his hand?is that right? can i use it for me also? take a base back in my hand and use it again in the same or next turn?

Seems like the event cards would only make the game more random. Especially since they only have a one-time effect, and the card pool is large enough that it wouldn't make much sense for players to plan ahead for them. Still... more variety. Just my excuse for not buying all of them i suppose.
For me they work because I've played the game about 80 or so times (most with the app). They're definitely random as random gets, but they add a slice of flavor and some chaotic to keep me on the edge of my seat.
I will now buy Star Realms, thank you for the review of the booster packs.

Is that stuff for Edge Of The Empire on the shelf in the back? Awesome RPG. Oh yeah and coming off of this I got the two that add more ships and bases and I got the events. The leaders I'll get eventually.
It is and it is awesome. Wish I had to time to get a group going with it.
+Drive Thru Review well if I get an online game going through hangouts or something like that you're more than welcome to play. Probably only play once a week or so.

Probably a dumb question, but do all of the booster packs get shuffled into the deck, or do any stay out and form their own deck? Also, for the event cards, if they are shuffled into the deck, what happens when they are drawn? The event comes out, resolve it, discard it, and replace with a new card right away?
Everything gets shuffled in. "Yes" to all the Event questions :)
Where did you get these?! I've been looking on Amazon and also Google searching for the Crisis packs since November. As far as I can tell they haven't released them yet..

Do you know if these are going to be available for the app also?
My guess is that they will, but I'm not sure. I don't think they've implemented any of the promos or gambits in the app just yet. But, that's a different story really.
