Digital Tour: Jehovahs Witnesses in Dachau Concentration Camp

The Nazis persecuted the Jehovah Witnesses, a small non-political religious group, because they were nonviolent and refused to bear arms, they refused to swear allegiance to the Nazi Regime and to lift their arm for the Hitler salute. About 600 Jehovah Witnesses were imprisoned at the Dachau concentration camp, over 100 of them died here.

I was born in a country that has banned JWs since 1958. Later, I lived in another country that has imposed a ban since 1972; it was there in 1995 that 69 JWs, including my wife and me, were arrested when we having Christian worship in 4 private homes; court trials and "convictions" were to follow. Such is the punishment for peace-loving, harmless people who have renounced the very violence that has divided the world.
